His stats are disproportionately high compared to a single brother. In the overworld, Bowser can trample critters for some coins, but when the brothers encounter them, it’s an actual fight. Low level enemies for Bowser become medium fights for the brothers. Don’t forget the characterization. Bowser doesn’t feel altruistic and begrudgingly sides with Mario and Luigi like in Superstar Saga. He is still a bad guy and he’s stopping Fawful because he stole his thunder. Don’t forget that badass dialogue before the final boss. In other words, “I wouldn’t say ‘freed”, more like ‘under new management.’”

@@DE23 I disagree their are a few QoL changes that I like (for example bowser using cheese instead of syrup since he has more SP than the bros) but I don’t think it’s enough to make it worth it since the original is playable on 3DS. I think the worst offense is that the game runs in 30fps rather than the 60 the original game runs at. I fucked up so much at the beginning cause I was used to the original timing in the OG game. Why does it run at 30fps the game doesn’t even support 3D TwT
If the original version didn’t have the horrendous mic mechanic then I’d easily be able to say that I like the OG version more, but since the remake doesn’t have the mic mechanic it’s hard for me to decide which version I like more.
I got this game when I was 9 around when it was new, incredible game for sure. I got to the final boss but never beat it cause I broke my DS hinge from mashing the buttons too hard😂

@@bluemarker1695 For some reason my New 2DS XL was never able to detect me blowing into the mic for the giant battles (even though it worked for other DS games) which caused me to get softlocked in one of the giant battles and unable to progress unless if I played it on my DSi XL hence why I hate the mic mechanic lol.
Absolutely my favorite mario game. Amazing story that gets you attached to the characters and being a part of bowser's story made it what I consider a flawless game.
This is my #1 mario game from the Ds, Gosh this brings so much memories, Nostalgia, I remember the worm/caterpillar (i dont remember very well) boss fight using Mario and Luigi was the most hardest one for me than the final boss fight 😭, I love this game till the end

I used to play this game, and I still do! I have Save file 1 at the event where I fight Dark Bowser, and Save file 2 at the event where I fight the Dark Star.
I love when this series gets recognition in any way, despite having played countless games, this game series is still number one it introduced me into rpg games and inspired so many of my programming projects, and its sad that because of the company going bankrupt, we will no longer get any more games from this series.

This game is just like Crash Twinsanity because 1) Both games are wacky 2) Both Mario and Crash have to team up with Bowser and Coetex respectivly to defeat a common enemy 3) Being able to play as the villain is awesome 4) Both games are great in their own regard

Sometimes he claims to want to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom, then after he gets some of the Dark Star's power, his endgame becomes dominating the world. And even then, after he got his ass beat in his Dark Star Core form, he says he "only wanted some kingdom conquering". In Charriii5's words: "GODDAMNIT, WHICH IS IT!?"
I don't understand. His goal was always to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom (which is also the world in the context of this game, so he was always referring to the kingdom). He probably said "world" instead of "kingdom" because he was feeling powerful after gaining the dark power. Even after being weakened and becoming the weird bug, he still continued to help the dark star conquer the kingdom. And finally, his dialogue after the final boss is just due to of his irregular speech pattern, he basically meant that he wanted to conquer the kingdom.
