You know what's sad? Your valuable Information isn't as most viewed as the other popular mainstream overwatch channel.... YOU should be getting 100k views. The other guys just rambles about nonsense and goes around the topic. All of your videos have SOLUTIONS to the problem. Thank you
I would like to add that I find the game "Dirty Bomb" great for practicing aim/tracking. The games have a similar speed as well. I like this because I can practice my aim whilst keeping the same pace of gameplay between games.
Another good music quote, can't remember who said it, but he said that his music is good because he focuses on the spaces between each note. I think this applies here because the preparation for each fight is more important than people realize
It can also be used to mean to have patience between each shot. Playing a note at the wrong time sounds terrible, so you have to play patiently and in time. Shooting too early without giving yourself time for proper aim puts you at a disadvantage because you'll have extra animation lag and you'll have to reload sooner
I would love to see a positioning guide soon! (although I'm sure you already have it in the works) I feel you would have a lot of great content on the matter.
I played a lot of Battlefield 3/4 where jumping constantly (bunny hopping) and crouch spamming while while shooting was common. Boy did that habit mess me up in OW.
IOSTUX BRO! I want to thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fucking much for these videos to guide me and guess! After applying these tips in the gameplay I've actually been improved so much from last week! I was 2598 when I was watching your videos and now I'm diamond 3110!
I have a huge problem with moving while aiming, been trying to work on it for weeks now. I already know my tracking and flicking it bad but my movement is worse. Thank you for this indept guide.
I'm curious about your thoughts on how far an older gamer might progress. I'm 40, and I know going pro isn't on the table. But is age related anything going to be a barrier to reaching GM, for example?
Thanks for the video's so far! Could you show us your warming up session in aim hero and what your goals are. As someone that has bad aim mechanics I'm thinking about playing this game 3 times a day and each level 2 times in a row to get a bit better at aiming. What would be things to be mindfull about and when would increasing difficulty be a good idea?
You should always play at 1 difficulty above what you can comfortably beat. You need to challenge yourself. I do the Reflex Training on Medium and on Hard, and I do the Fast aiming one on Medium and Hard. The Hard one twice in a Row. Takes about 20 Minutes and it really gets you warmed up. I dont know the scores of the top of my head but I think my Record for Reflex on High was around 320k, and I consider myself warmed up at around 300k. I don't really play that much anymore as I am busy with University and creating Videos, otherwise I would've loved to create a Video on it :) There are actually some older Videos of me playing Aimbooster though but that isn't very useful.
I feel like playing Total Mayhem can be an easy way to warmup/practise rather than QP. This is because it's normally a long hectic game and since you have double health you get more up-time to practise aiming on real players. Also the cooldowns are faster so you can practise using them too! Only downside is it might mess up your game mechanics a little since everything is 'sped up' so maybe do a couple QP matches afterwards just to get back in the groove. Any thoughts?
Hello, thx for this video and nice channel. Can you, please, tell me if there is any sense to increase FPS (to decrease input lag) if currently I'm playing on 60'fps monitor.
hey man so ive been practicing my mcree a lot and have got my accuracy avg up to 52% and im just wondering when i should or should not right click as i noticed i never really use it. Thanks !
Right Click everything you cant Headshot. So Turrets, Reinshield, etc, because Rightclick deals more Damage in these Situations. When you can Headshot just go for constant Headhots. If you hit them it deals alot more Damage. In my recent Soldier vs McCree Video you can go to the Burst Damage Section and see how much of a Difference Rightclick vs Headshots makes on McCree
Brandon Warford Dont focus on Stats. 10% is good. If you are killing People with Headshots then that is fine. Accuracy is very binary. Either you hit or you dont. Focussing on Stats can be misleading and cause frustration :)
This is a necro post for sure, but anyone have any tips for movement as Winston? My hit box is so large that AD strafing or jumping doesn't seem to matter. Also I often have to move towards targets to chase them down, but obviously running in a straight line makes me easy to hit.
Flashbang deals 25 damage, a McCree shot deals 70. A Headshot doubles that to 140. So if you hit a flashbang and a headshot you deal a total of 165 damage. Tracer has 150 hp. If the Tracer doesn't die it's because you missed :P
You are absolutely right. I just tried on a custom game, and turns out tracer's hitbox extends farther up her head than downwards (or so its seems) and I usually aim at neck level, hence not really getting the headshot. Thanks a lot!
Don't worry about your Accuracy %. You cant really measure aim that well with it. In some games its super high, in some games super low. You don't need to measure it. Dont cling onto irrelevant statistics.
kaleb johnson Start with 800Dpi and 5 Ingamesens and make small adjustments from there. I personally play at 800dpi 4 Sens. Dont switch Sens too often, will wreck your musclememory!
ioStux Coaching | Overwatch I'm not sure if I can play with a sensitivity that low. Not being able to turn around makes me feel helpless. I play at 1250 dpi and 7 in game ATM
kaleb johnson Buy a bigger Mousepad, aiming with your arm instead of your Wrist is alot more consistent and wont fuck up your joints. Basically every Pro does it, and they make a living playing this game, so there has to be something to it. If you habe trouble aiming, lowering sens should be the first thinf you do, because your sens is actually kinda high :O
ioStux Coaching | Overwatch I do use an extended mousepad =O but I switch over to tracer and mccree a lot. Tracer is impossible to play on a low sensitivity. I'll give a shot but yikes!!! That's going to be hard to adjust to
Thiago Heringer No it's not funny, he is right about that because now he has improved a lot and this video was still better than Your Overwatch and Unit loss ect.
TheRealSkyrox _YT wow. Not Fair. Your overwatch and unir loss is more than useless. Iostux vídeos are really good. This on is(for me) one of the few bad vídeos.
nothing was explained, not even how to 'focus on hitting your shots' also make some dumb statements like autopilot is awful for aim training autopilot is essential for performance in general, so to avoid it in practice makes no sense, the goal of practice is to make connections and associations in your head and solidify them through repetition, not incorporating autopilot in practice would be like practicing osu for aim also aim is easy but its obvious u dont know why, bc movement speed of targets is a very small factor for aim idk theres a lot of shit to pick apart, why would u make a vid like this? i want 2 know why u were confident enough 2 make the vid, not being insulting or whatever, genuinely curious
Having the words on the screen increases my learning by 1000%, ty so much.

Thank you
Nice vid, I really like your style, covering everything in depth with good explanations, keen for more vids :)

I tried out the cyan but I dropped it for the similarity on the maps with snow. Started Green, now I'm liking the purple the best.
I love your vids as not only do they help with overwatch but in any game I play!!!
EVERYTHING I WAS ALWAYS WONDERING ABOUT IS ANSWERED.
thank you so much bro
Best aiming guide for Overwatch. Wow!
I would love to see a positioning guide soon! (although I'm sure you already have it in the works) I feel you would have a lot of great content on the matter.
I have a hard to with autopilot.
Seems like I am trying to un-learn years of half ass aim.
Zombie Zeke practice makes permanent not perfect.

Master inc ;)

Thanks for doing this man, gave me alot , really
A shirt/cloth can be used as a low-budget pop filter
Thanks I will try that out in the next Part :)
I'm curious about your thoughts on how far an older gamer might progress. I'm 40, and I know going pro isn't on the table. But is age related anything going to be a barrier to reaching GM, for example?
for crosshair color i really want that orange from the overwatch logo
Nice presentation.
Thanks for the video's so far!

I was csgo semi pro however i played on 4:3 which just doesnt translate well to overwatch so i had to relearn muscle memory to a degree
just a note i use red crosshair because it matches with the enemy outline colour(red) so basically its easier to track in my opinion
What DPI and in-game sensitivity do you use? thanks a lot.
Hello, thx for this video and nice channel.
Can you, please, tell me if there is any sense to increase FPS (to decrease input lag) if currently I'm playing on 60'fps monitor.
loled so hard at the piano quote haha
What do you mean by guidelines? what good are guidelines?
Don't know if you talked about it somewhere cannot find it. Is the reduce buffering option usefull ?
NVM lol found it right after sorry about it^^
Haha its fine =)
You are amazing
thanks

you know i just watched it and completely forgot about that party lol ! thanks for the quick reply!
another question I was able to get my accuracy from 31% to 52% and my crit accuracy from 7% to 10%, what critical accuracy should I aim for ?
Brandon Warford Dont focus on Stats. 10% is good. If you are killing People with Headshots then that is fine. Accuracy is very binary. Either you hit or you dont. Focussing on Stats can be misleading and cause frustration :)
Alright :p my main goal now is to get that good positioning going!
This is a necro post for sure, but anyone have any tips for movement as Winston? My hit box is so large that AD strafing or jumping doesn't seem to matter. Also I often have to move towards targets to chase them down, but obviously running in a straight line makes me easy to hit.
Use cover, peek around corners, play around your bubble, don't get greedy.
Is this still aplicable as of today? Because I can't kill tracers with only one headshot after a flashbang.
Flashbang deals 25 damage, a McCree shot deals 70. A Headshot doubles that to 140. So if you hit a flashbang and a headshot you deal a total of 165 damage. Tracer has 150 hp. If the Tracer doesn't die it's because you missed :P

+Lefvaid arts great! Now go kill some Tracers :D
how much % accuracy do you try to hit in-game in OW?
Check out the In depth McCree Guide, and skip ahead to the part where I talk about % Accuracy :) Should answer this question precisely.
i checked it after this comment, but i think it feels like a random answer.
Don't worry about your Accuracy %. You cant really measure aim that well with it. In some games its super high, in some games super low. You don't need to measure it. Dont cling onto irrelevant statistics.
On overbuff i'm 1% top most accurate McCree - that's why I wanted to know - thank you!
What about dpi and in game sensitivity?

ioStux Coaching | Overwatch I'm not sure if I can play with a sensitivity that low. Not being able to turn around makes me feel helpless. I play at 1250 dpi and 7 in game ATM
ioStux Coaching | Overwatch I don't understand how someone can comfortably play like that having to swipe your hand 2 or 3 times to turn around.
kaleb johnson Buy a bigger Mousepad, aiming with your arm instead of your Wrist is alot more consistent and wont fuck up your joints. Basically every Pro does it, and they make a living playing this game, so there has to be something to it. what about aim hero
Its in the description, I use it after long breaks :)
cool
4:50 lime green on white is horrible to to read
I think u dont need to plant in overwatch...
I guess u mean crosshair placement that term is more commanly used
You do almost all widows do that when they have there ult or if you know someone is going to peak.
90% of the video Saying what something is, and not How to do it is almost useless to improve in the game.
cut me some slack this has been over a year ago MonkaS
xD ok
