- This CTS-V is ULTRA rare being 1 of just 200 examples ever produced. The Cadillac CTS-V will go down in history as one of the most power top performing midsize luxury sedans ever created. Under the hood is a 6.2L supercharged V8 that is pumping out 640HP & mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its exterior features aerodynamic aides to help it reach 200MPH. The Championship Edition features extra exterior and interior touches to make it stand out from the crowd.

No I have the V2 and the update is there’s a V4 coming out it will be called the black wing but it won’t have the black wing motor but it will have 650 horsepower
I’d take this over any mustang, camaro, charger, or challenger honestly.
They are not even in the same class, can't compare.

Man, this is one killer Caddy. I love the lines, wheels, power plant, interior styling. They did a great job even with its typical GM short comings. Very much a standout and I'd love having that in my garage.
I own a 2019 and can't think of one short coming.

That CTS-V is awesome. I love the look and the performance is outta sight. Total badass machine. Kudos to Cadillac for creating that beast.
I remember when I used to live close to Sonoma Raceway and watching Johnny O'Connell and Andy Pilgrim race Cadlllac CTS-VR and ATS-VRs in the Pirelli World Challenge Series a few years ago. Loved road racing back then and still do!

So new post on an older Vlog. The new Blackwings (which I watched about in your recent review) are impressive, but I still love my old 2011 CTS-V. Mine has the LSA engine with a cold air intake and Corsa exhaust. It screams when "on throttle". So fun. Thanks for the Vlog Joe!

The Blackwing V8 has been discontinued. Good luck finding one, they only put them in 800 vehicles. So sad, and I'm not even a Cadillac guy.

Awesome car...had a 12 V years ago. Was looking at these special edition models but pulled the trigger on a black 19 CTS-V, carbon fiber, PDR etc. I’m loving this car!! Almost bought an M5. Yeah it’s quicker with the AWD but the V reminds me of pure old school American muscle. In black it has that Batmobile look to it. Great vid!!

The blacked out headlights adds depth and contrast, to an already sexy ass sedan.
One of the best looking Cadillacs ever. Love the waterfall-style headlights too. That brushed aluminum wheels are beautiful. Fits well with the car looks. Besides the side vents not being a carbon fiber part, I really impressed that there's no fake vents too. Yep they should leave the engine around 650hp though. At least the 0-60 is promising.

They are just realigning their naming system...regular CT5, CT5V and CT5V Blackwing ....think along the lines of regular Audi, S And RS...but I don’t care for the stupid Newton meter torque rating badge on the bumper smh

Of course it's better performance wise, it has more power and torque. The equivalent will be the CT5 V Blackwing. Looks, with the exception of the rear corner window, the CT5 has a more tasteful look. With in my opinion better luxury technology and better interior. With the way they are pricing the CT5 in comparison to the CTS. The Blackwing should come at a cheaper price.
Yesterday, I heard they are now killing the CT6, which is considered a large car. Some manufacturers are only focusing on mid and compact cars. Of course, GM is one of those companies doing so.
I'm looking for one of these! I thought about a new one but this is one bad machine!
I have a 2017 ATS-V for coming on four years now...only way the 8-speed delays shifts when using the paddles is not driving aggressively...I'm always in Sport or Track mode.

The CTS-V has always been one of my favorite sport sedans. Just a bit out of my reach! So, I settled for the Taurus SHO and most recently the Genesis G70 Sport 3.3t. And trust me when I say a stock G70 is much quicker than the SHO. Of course, the first thing I had to do was intakes and program. Now it's a low-mid 12 sec car. And that's plenty fast enough!

I've been told paddle shifters are slower than in Drive auto shift.
Everyone says there is a slight delay when paddle shifting the 10 speed trans.

I vaguely remember that it was Delphi Automotive Corporation that developed the magnetic ride control. I can't remember if it was a joint venture between GM and Delphi. Or if GM bought it from them

@@user-ob2gv7er8m Is it? I own a 19 M5 competition the car is extremely brutal and just easily smashes every single parts about the CTS-V, except the sound and exhaust, otherwise, no comparison to these two.
My understanding is that the 10 hp difference isn't that they detuned the motor....its is mostly because of the different exhaust/intake....fyi. Ive owned 2 different ATS-V's, and 1st Gen CTS-V. Now I'm looking for a Gen 3 CTS-V for more twinkie room. Great review!

Yeah the optional Recaro seats don't come with cooling. They should've at least gave them ventilation. But the standard regular seats come with cooling.
