    A tip for anyone hesitant to shock their dog. I like to train my dogs with the beep as a clicker (where I will give them treats when they hear it) then take treats on off leash walks and beep their collars every once in a while and give them a treat for coming to me when they hear the beep. This will help prevent the need to rarely even have to shock them.

    i just got this collar and the instructions that came with it were lacking, I didn't know how to adjust the power level until you did it, and I it was a good thing I didn't put it on my dog just yet because when I tested it on myself it was in the 80's and the collar went flying as my arm spazed out. My wife then began testing it on me at lower levels starting at 5 where I was able to feel it, but at 6 nothing, 7 felt it, 8 none, 9 again I felt it, so I'm thinking that the even levels on my collar aren't working... But damn that high 80's was painful and I do not recommend it going over 15

Murphy does well with him, but he's on his honeymoon for several weeks. The dog bites (and I don't mean nibble), jumps like crazy (Hits my 6'4" husband at shoulder level.) We're too old for this! So, should I start with the beep, and progress to the shock, if needed? He's really a sweet dog , but my husband is at the point of offering him to a good home, $500.00 plus a years' worth of dog food to take him.

    • @DigitalDavid
      @DigitalDavid  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly... its not an end all be all for bad behavior... just another tool to help correct the bad behavior so you may see some improvement when your dog is wearing the collar but you will have to be ready with the remote to issue the commands and train properly!

    never use a shock collar instead use a e collar they have dome by dogtra and what most service dog trainers and handlers use is called the mini educator and before you use a shock try it on yourself because i have tried that exact one and it hurt at a level 5 shock yourself before you shock your fur baby or get them professional training

      @@DigitalDavid well not every kid. Just my niece so far. I guess Noone ever used the remote around her before until I did it and she got startled and said "what's that noise" out of nowhere she didn't know I pressed anything she's only four years old. It hurts her ears. It was like discovering she has super power. My nephews dont hear it at all though.

    Please stop promoting cheap unsafe collars. Anything under $200 is not good. I’m a dog trainer and have seen so many dogs get hurt using the cheap ones.

    This brand of collar is garbage. Shock is much too intense at lower levels and inconsistent as well. My client brought one to show me what she had tried using and I cannot get the shock level to go below 70. In the trash it goes. We will be using the mini educator. Definitely don’t take training advice from a lay person, get a professional and use a quality collar so your pet does not receive shock at unfair levels.

      Did you try with and without the silicone contact covers on? This version has been a lot better for me than the last version of this collar. If people have the means it is always best to hire a professional dog trainer to work with their pets!!

    WHY SHOCK COLLARS AREN’T THE BEST IDEA: Everyone that is thinking of getting this please consider your dogs safety FIRST make sure it is the VERY LAST resort because these collars can cause anything from physical to psychological pain and stress it tends to cause high anxiety and displaced aggression from time to time the collar may malfunction and completely stop shocking or repetitively shock your dog. Before even considering buying one of these please do your research look up shock collar damage and the images you see my be startling but it’s what happens when you overly use this product. I think we can all agree this is 100% not for puppies of any kind so before purchasing this product consider the damage it may cause to your dog not just physically and mentally but also the damage it may do to your bond with your dog. And like many have said owning a dog is not about intimidating your k9 friend but both you and your pup understanding and working WITH one another. Thank you for reading and have a nice day 😊🐶

    OMG NO!! You should NEVER put a shock collar on a dog, that will leave them traumatized! Instead, maybe just try training. If the dog was you, would you like it if someone put a SHOCK collar on your neck? Probably not. Just because its a dog, doesn't mean you can do whatever you want with it.
