Hilarious Moment As Lope Pulls Faces At Silverback Behind Flap

- A short while back Twycross Zoo had some new flaps fitted to the Western Lowland Gorillas house. They weren't see through before, but now they are and as you can see Lope is making the most of it. Pulling funny faces while Oumbi his dad is on the other side and watching him. Unfortunately I've only got the last bit of this on video, so I slowed it down a little for you to see how silly Lope is. When Oumbi has enough of Lopes shenanigans, he storms inside. Lopes brother Shufai runs up to the flap to have a look what all the commotion is about. By the time I get round to the viewing area inside, it all calmed down a bit with Oumbi pulling Lopes head in a playful manner. Lope being Lope, he can't let things lie and sits himself next to the huge Silverback. Just sit back and enjoy Lopes and Oumbis playful interaction.

Dad is so handsome and he understands that Lope is just a kid. Love the way dad interact with Lope. He is very patient with him. Lope is having fun as always! These creatures are so beautiful!
I like Lope because he is not afraid of anything. Not even his dad, who by the way is such a magnificent creature. please continue to take care of these precious creatures.
Poor Oumbi, he always looks like he's in a bad mood. Maybe Lope is trying to cheer him up. Love these guys!

This was so enjoyable to watch!Lope and his crazy shenanigans! The Majestic silver back has such a playful side to him. I love watching him interact with his son. You can see the power and the strength in his arms, Head, and Shoulders! The Silverback is amazing! I know when I'm in the presence of greatness and the lowland gorillas are magnificent! I bow to them!

The absolute highlight on Friday. Lope is the grimace king and has a special place in Oumbie's heart. Love it when Dad shows his laughing face while playing with Lope. I am very happy to see the two together, thank you SloggerVlogger for this recording!

LOL! Little Lope is such a little clown! He adores his daddy and loves when daddy plays with him. I asked one of the staff at Twycross zoo how heavy Oumbi is and she said about 150kg which=330 pounds.
He looks even bigger when you see him in person.

Oh, I got told he was 200kg. Either he gained a lot or the staff are guessing again. I do get that a lot with Twycross that the staff say different things :-)
Lope is an amazing character. He is a play boy. I want to hug them . Shufai is becoming an independent goody. He is not riding on his moms back. Slogger Vlogger doesn't miss any chance to capture our favourite s activities.

That was such a wonderful video. I loved seeing our little Lope playing with his Dad. Oumbi was in a much better humor. Lope is such a little character. I think that Shufai is something else also. He loves to know what is going on.

Oumbi is such a great protector of his family, and such a lovely silverback, but holy crap when he looks at you with those eyes he scares the crap out of me, I watch a lot of gorilla footage from the wild and zoos across the world, they are my favourite primate by far, in fact apart from the Oranges lol, which are just cute, I don't care much for other monkeys, but I've never seen such an intense....look I can't even describe it, no other silverback has ever looked at the camera and scared me so much as Oumbi, it's such a cutting look, I've never come across it before, Oumbi...if you say it's Christmas, I'm putting my decorations up, ok mate :)

Lope has more personality than he knows what to do with! He is such a character, and so far shows little sign of losing that playful side as he grows up. Oumbi usually seems annoyed by Lope, tolerant at best. It's so good to see the boss relax and have a little fun for once!

Thankyou mysterious TH-cam algorithm for bringing me back to SloggerVlogger! There's been a Lope hole in my heart since Twycross had to close to visitors to protect the residents. (Lope looks so little here!) - I wonder what has happened in a year? (I hope he hasn't matured too much and lost his teasing side...).

Used to check on this family all the time for new videos (I know SV has other brilliant videos on other families, but an addiction is an addicton) - but kinda gave up when zoos closed. It's heartwarming to see what appears to be a stern-faced dad not being able to help himself and giving in to play with the kid, even if only for a few seconds before realizing he shouldn't play, lest the others watching think him to be a softee and becoming stern-faced again........and then again not being able to help reverting back to his own youth and playing again.
