Gorilla Youngster Lope Harasses His Baby Brother

- Lope the Gorilla youngster is at it again and is harassing his baby brother by grabbing him. Shufai just had his 1st birthday a couple of days ago, is not put off by this as he tries to approach Lope, who in return pinches his bum. Mum gives Lope a warning as Shufai holds on to her. The best bit is when Shufai tries to go back to his brother, but mum just pulls his arm as to say enough now, you come with me and leave Lope to it.

Yep, you can tell what they're thinking. There was a point when Lope was trying to deceive his brother, baiting him into getting closer. Also, near the end the baby was trying to get back at him but mom was like "don't mind him, come with me"

Yep mum is always there when it gets too rough. Shufai still running to mummy as well and hiding behind her back when Lope gets too energetic :-)

LOL! Big Momma knows to watch little Lope around Shufai.It seems Lope thinks he is so smooth and maybe even invisible at times as far as his mommy seeing his spas outs around little bro.. He is such a clown-boy. Hopefully he can control his little outbursts so he can be with his little brother more. When you wrote he was pinching his bum, I think he tried to take the legs out from Shufai, or take him for a drag if he got hold of his leg! LOL! Big Momma knew it was time to take Shufai away from Lope. Play time over! Just so funny how mom throws Lope "warning looks" and Lope acts as if he did nothing wrong. He is so funny! BTW... Remember that picture I sent you of Lope giggling behind that tree? The woman who took that picture told me later that she took that picture of him AFTER he somehow got outside 1st & ate most of the food (lunch) then hid behind the tree laughing that he ate most of the food and was still eating what he swiped from Troop when she took that picture. I guess he had to hide after sneaking out and eating everyones lunch. ( *maybe even his joy was seeing daddy and others so confused wondering and searching for where all their food went * )
Hearing that story explains why he looked so proud of himself and giggling. As always, he hides in the open but thinks no one can see him peeking out. What a funny boy! I just adore his silly heart! :-)

There was a happy gorilla family.
The mother Ozala was passed from zoo to zoo
To give birth to babies the zoos would sell to other zoos.
Oumbi was in the same situation.
He would father babies and then zoos would sell him.
When Ozala and Oumbi met, their hearts were filled with sorrow.
If they have a baby, will they be separated, too.
Each parent was afraid to become attached when Lope was born.
Then Shufai was born and all was forgotten.
Little Lope wanted so much to be loved and cuddled.
Thank God for Biddy who is old and wise and affectionate, too.
When gorillas are young, they have a white button bottom
Of which significance matters.
Why they push buttons, we will never know.
What is consistent is they never get in trouble for doing it.
