i love designs in this movie. the did not tried to make realistic animals, but is so creative how they used shapes to make the models. I really like that, cause it fits so well and is like they made a 3D movie based in a child book and these were the way the artist made in paper
Giraffes do indeed sleep standing up. And only for short periods at a time. They typically only sleep up to 30 minutes a day.

Yeah considering her dog is a vicious breed, and Mr. Chew is a small dog, and Alex is a big cat

Always appreciated the genuine character growth between these characters. Even through a children's movie, it's still very much entertaining!

Omg! This is the first memory of a movie for me! My uncle gave me the cd for my birthday. Nostalgia honestly.
I love that Melman's voice is David Schwimmer's voice, he does a really great job
If you're interested in the penguins numerous and often insane exploits, I highly recommend looking up their nickelodeon show. Animation is a little dated but it's not bad, and the show is very entertaining. There's the penguins themselves, a psychotic animal control officer, insane inventions, a dolphin supervillain, and a ton more. Like, tip of the iceberg vs what's underwater more and then some. Not all of the episodes are great, but most are very entertaining imo. And, personally, I prefer this show to the movie. The penguins get some character development and the show even has some overall continuity. Plus Mort, Maurice and Julian are there too! I highly recommend this show, if you aren't interested in reacting to it on TH-cam, I still suggest you watch it on your own. I really think you would like it.

Trust me,you wouldn’t want to move to Brooklyn cause I used to live there for a few years and according to my mom:a group of men bursted into a man’s apartment with guns without realizing that the man was sleeping right next to his bed(they were plotting on shooting him)so New York isn’t really a nice state to be living in(except for New York City which I haven’t been to yet)but had to move out

"This movie is a lot darker than I remember." PLEASE check out The Brave Little Toaster. If you grew up with that movie, this is the perfect time to revisit. I did, and I thought the movie was way darker than I remembered but my friends all say in taking it too seriously.

Another one of my childhood favorites! I used to watch it with Georgian dubbing (cause, little me didn't know English yet.) it was hilarious. They chose comedians as voice actors.
I don't think I ever had 'rose colored glasses', I noticed most things when I was a kid...not proud of it, sometimes I wish I had been a little more innocent. Oh well :P

For those who don’t know, there is actually a musical stage adaption of this movie. There’s a full version and a junior version for younger actors. I enjoy doing the show. I was a NYC police officer, the ship captain ( yes, I did get karate chop by a penguin), and a fossa.
