Thanks for the video. I really like how you show the orientation and placement of the gears/parts. Nice work!

Good video......only thing is before you put the outer cover on you have to put it in 2 nd gear then smear some grease on the roller to hold it in place put the spindle in the outer case then using the gear selector have the pawl on the second notch fron the top and slide the cover on , dont force it it should just slide on.If not take a break then come back to it and it will go together😃

Just acquired a 68 g15cs. The previous owner only had the scoot for a short while. The kicker was stuck and he said it took a lot to push the kicker down. Now it springs up fine but grabs nothing on the kick down. Probably bad dogs. I'm sure the clutches and their plates are a bit stuck too.

Liking the detailed shots and explanations. I did this whole job on my Norton Commando GB without removing it from the bike. For the two forward facing bolts holding the quadrant & "knuckle", I found the washers were not fully seating against the outside of the casing to make a good seal with the o-rings. So now I have a slow oil seep from both of those. Do you think I can remove the bolts and try fitting thicker o-rings without needing to remove anything else? Will the quadrant or knuckle drop out of position?

I find it interesting that the bushings are a "slip fit" in the bore of the gears. I understand the "running fit" on the shafts, but running fits on both the shaft and bore seems or is not common practice. Thoughts?

OlderTurbochargers run floating bushes 150,000 rpm , it runs at a half speed .

It's funny that the AMC gearbox rebuild videos never mention the oil seals in the outer cover or never show how the outer cover is refitted. This can be very tricky if you don't know the best way. I can only assume this is omitted rather than show the builder fiddling around for half an hour or so trying to do it?
