I really enjoy how these episodes are presented. I have had extremely good service out of Kopr-kote for sealing, although VW makes a RTV that was also used at factory on the oil pans, really tough stuff to hold cases together and sealed. What I like about the Kopr-kote though, is the ease of removal of mating parts and fasteners, yes, I coat the threads with it as that is its true design usage. Kopr-kote does not allow heat weld or unlike material as steel bolt in aluminum to weld together.
    Lordy, I sound like a Kopr-kote saleman don't I . ;)

Hi Mike I have a 75 mk3 and have 1/4 inch or a little bigger seperation between the sprocket and wheel . Would you know if this is normal or not.

No RevLube or nothing on the cam lobes?

Hi Gianni, Dave thoroughly lube's the camshaft in the opening scene of episode #16, just before he fits the barrel on the cases. Cheers, Mike th-cam.com/video/vRDpCjEGIhQ/w-d-xo.html

Mike that wasn't long enough 🤣 Coming from a car background ( years ago ) we always used gaskets. No gasket here ?. How good is that sealant .. ps thanks for sharing .

Yeah, I was waiting for the gasket.

54macdog No gasket here. Just the anaerobic sealant. There isn’t a lot of oil inside the crankcase, and if you manage the pressure there isn’t a lot of strain on the joint.
