"you will absolutely have to be in a group" What kind of filthy casual do you take me for? I don't need a group. I never need a group! NEVER! It's also because I have no friends to play with. The loneliness has made me strong...
I'm really glad you made this piece. You did a wonderful job explaining the map icons, I think I learned a bit here. I had wondered specifically about the "eye" icons. I would go to them and there seemed to be no purpose. But if the skyshards are nearby... Now I know! Very informative.

I have never been more excited for a game before. I am completely ready for this game to come out already. I have to wait even longer though since I'm gonna be playing on the Xbox One, which doesn't release until June. Sad face :(
Piste Viiva Take a chillpill and relax. What he meant was that its a shame pc and console gamers cant play on the same servers like you can in Final Fantasy 14 where pc and PS3 gamers are all on the same server in the same game. Not everything is meant hostile you know. So a appology is on its place, or do you feel to good about that, cause in that case Korozenn isn't the arrogant one but you are.
Shrine to mara allows players that purchase the imperial edition to get married to another player for bonus exp when playing together. (rings of mara are used there).
Kirk Douglas I am very excited for the game but respect your opinion. I find so many new things I have never seen in other MMO's that bring me great joy. I suggest picking it up. Hope to see you out there man, take care.
Tristan Begin Not so sweet is pratice unfortunate in my oppinion, bank space costs a fortune, the 3rd bank upgrade costs 6.5k gold for 10 more bankslots, getting to 70 bankslots. But its great for alts I must admit, since crafting stations are directly linked to banks for getting resources =)
The banks are Account based, so you can share. If I remember correctly, it's not faction restricted. The Anchors appear to mostly be for exp and leveling up your Fighter's Guild ranking as far as I can tell. Fighter and Mage guilds don't level up normally. Fighter's guild requires you to kill Deadra (possibly Undead too. Figher's Guild is really more of a Hunter's guild since most of their abilities specialize in extra damage vs Daedra and Undead and Werewolves if you pick that perk) and close Anchors. Mage's guild requires you to collect lore books.
Lack of intelligence aside side yay for pre-orders right? lol You know i am guilty of making the odd silly pre-order but this one takes the cake of bad pre-orders. (no i didn't get the imperial version) At least for the Imperial version....
Give my best to Force who has outraged over the Imperial microtransaction in a subscription based MMO. Something must've happened to that guy - he hasn't been seen lately, and has been replaced by a "this is awesome, and this is awesome..." clone.
Force Strategy Gaming - First they say they'll have a subscription so you wouldn't be monetized inside the game, and then they lock a whole race behind a paywall. I get that you don't want to make a drastic statement, seeing as the game industry's your livelyhood, but you're turning a blind eye if you cover the rest of the game as if it's separate from the main issue. Hunter Keenan - one microtransaction? Yeah, I'm sure other MMO publishers won't take notice if this gets off the ground. Why wouldn't the rest of them also start charging you for the game, charging you extra for something that should be a part of the game, and charging you a subscription every month. It's not just one microtransaction, it's setting a precedent.
the thing is, this content is just what you get at the start of the game, for the first months. If zenimax holds up to its word, you will find this and many more things in the next months since the p2p model is suposedly being used to bring new content every month or so. You pay the initial 60 dollars for this right here. The other 15 each month should be, in theory, new content and new things to do
Force, you have gone full ham on ESO in this past week. As a TES fan used to the single player franchise, I've been stuck on the edge of ESO due to its price model. Your informative videos have helped me make this decision.
I think a lot more people will like ESO now that you canskip the starter areas. Most the haters out there played to maybe lvl 10 and never left the starting areas. And they say they're mmo vets but judge before getting to the meat of it. Then you have the tes fans that bash it saying it had bad graphics or feels clunky and combat is horrible. Obviously they're either dumb about mmos or just butthurt cause they can't mod in sex mods and fap to it like they did on skyrim. I'm a huge tes fan and mmo junkie and I love ESO. Compared to other mmos the graphics are wonderful. The combat isn't clunky, its midway between the fast zerg style action of GW2 and traditional Tes combat. With npc collision it'll be sooo much better. Pvp is awesome as well. I haven't enjoyed pvp or a mmo for that matter as much since DAoC. Hate if you want, not giving it the chance it deserves is only your loss. And enough complaining about the sub fees. Get a job not requiring you to flip burgers :p
And interestingly the combat looks great compared to previous TES games.... How can they even say that, it was two or three animations for anything you did, looks less clunky aswell to be fair, and the graphics really are not that bad at all, been playing TES since Arena, these so called die hard single player TES fans cant be fans, simple, there's nothing here to be that annoyed about, all I can imagine is they don't have a PC capable of running it or no PC at all...
Nath Wilkinson You can get the game for the consoles. Also coming from play TES from the arena days, I don't care if the mmo aspects of the games isn't so good (I bet it is tho), Just the fact you can experience a TES game with people is truly amazing. So hope you can somehow get a good pc!
Thanks so much for actually leveling and making quality videos. Most other reviewers are just making their initial video at early level and that's it. Many people are not finding that there is actually alot to do in game.
I think a lot of people who just want to get quick money from views are only doing the starting content. The PCgamer review was like this and it was terrible, they didn't really cover anything about the game other than the very first small part. Lazy fucks.
Sweet update- I'm getting a really positive vibe about the game from your reviews. It'd be great to see you comparing the recent crop of high quality mmorpgs on PC sometime in the future
Man I love video games, I always have and always will. From age 6 I aspired to be a game producer and only until recently my interest has changed to producin music. It's probably just me but it seems like games are becoming less playable. Bear with me here, I played WoW and now it seems like any other MMO just isn't as good as it, no RPG has been as good as Oblivion, and no adventure game is better than Kingdom Hearts 2. It's probably just me growing up, but it pains me to see such a loss in my video game enjoyment..
I just can't bring myself to play wow since I raided through cataclysm. It just took up too much of my time is all. I still love the game I just burnt myself out on it.
fantastic video Force, well cut together, enjoyed it a lot and am feeling much more comfortable about getting this game on my PS4, I can work through the slower beginning for the greater game, plus I have friends already going to play on the PS4 too, cannot wait!
I've seen that quote elsewhere. Only that it is soo wrong, lol. MMO are all about grinding, endless, neverending grinding... and anyone that knows anything about grinding, knows that the destination is NEVER near and that while you continue to grind, it's ALL about the journey, one based entirely on grinding!!! lol xD
Another thing about the bank. If you have got the Imperial edition it has been said the items you get can be transferred between characters, but not each character you roll gets those items. So if you say have your Khajiit and you want your horse that you got from the Collectors edition; you have to go to your shared bank between all characters to withdraw the item, and then need to replace it back in to use it on another character.
Does anyone else notice how the areas a laid out? It looks like a long, linear path. Upon closer inspection, all the areas seem to be relatively linear, i.e, on this map you are going south to north, the next area you are heading west to east.
yeah the path is way too linear, they need a third dimension to it, or perhaps fourth dimension where time is not just perceived as a motion governed by the projection of fourth to third. damn those zenimax fools
NO dont ever say that! LOL the game is huge and really open! Ive played the game a many many hours! Most just exploring. When I was first released into cyrodil it took ten minutes to get to may first quest mark...yeah
All fps games are like other fps games, all strategy games are like other strategy games, all puzzle games are like other puzzle games. Is this your logic?
Bryan Holmes don't mind the troll but i think because both mmos are themeparks then equats them as being WoW clones.. ESO is a mix of many themeparks from GW2,DAOC and etc
The High elves have tricked the Khajiit to help their cause many times trough out Tamriels history. The Dunmer usually does not want to help anyone if not other dark elves win on it. The orcs does not judge people for race, beleifs or gender but rather for what good or bad choices the individual makes. If an orc does someting he/she wins on it is considered unhonourable, but if he/she does something many others win on it is honourable and chanses are higher that the orc will become cheif/cheif's wife or forgewife.
If I remember correctly, the high elves are not trying to prove elves superiority. They know for a fact that HIGH elves are superior (they are not wrong society-wise because they are constently trying to improve themselves and it works). Wood elves and khajiits joined the aldmeri dominion because high elves helped them a few times.
no thats the third dominion, the first dominion was formed to and was solely a group of people like all the other factions of the time that wanted the throne, the first Dominion was all about helping other races that joined them. the third dominion however (skyrim) is the group your thinking of, by then the dominion had died and was a ancient name that was it history books, but they brought it back so they could claim the land of the old dominion, they took a good name and perverted it...
Or you buy the game and pay the subscription and support the game and company so they can make it even better in future patches, expansions. mmorpgs is a on-going project and most mmorpgs getting fixes and evolve during the process.
Support what? Their insatiable greed? Yah, that sounds utterly retarded! They have billions of dollars, they don't need your sympathy nor your charity!
Gene Starwind Not to defend the ESO, but I feel like I have to point out to you where you're wrong. 1.) What are people supporting with a P2P MMO? The server cost, future content patches, and community events/resources that they decide to host. Do they also want to make more money from the game they made? Of course they do. Would you like to put out a product that returned NONE of the investment? 2.) The development team does not have billions of dollars. Your pre-teen logic doesn't work here. They had over 200,000,000 to develop the game. Sure, that's way over budget for what ESO is, but the point remains you're throwing random numbers and making false assumptions. Looking at the facts, your whack theories go down the drain. I'm not THAT excited for the game, but I can't help but read your post and assume you're mad that your parents can't afford a 15$/month MMO. MMOs cost money to maintain. If you don't realize that then I'm sorry. Maybe one day you'll get out into the real world and learn something about money.
AwefulWaffle88 there's a lot of games that use servers, require mainentance and are patched and do not use a monthly fee to do it... i don't know why people think that "mmorpg's" should work in a different way
Gene Starwind Wait a minute, who's being greedy? The people who have spent years building this game and expect to make money on it? Or the people who want to be able to trash it on the internet and play it for free? Think about it...
I loved that they added Elite mobs like in wow in the open world...this adds a complete fresh element to difficulty and the fear that you can never really feel secure!
imperial horse is not 100g, you cant buy them unless you have imperial edition. The mara rings give you a crazy exp boost making the early grind game go by quicker, the imperical race its self has some the best racial abilities in the game. You also can craft imperial armor/weapons which look cool and are very strong, so ya id say its worth it .
now the horse is only 1g for those who pre-ordered making things even quicker for leveling and exploring. plus the rings of mara :) yes you can learn Imperial style through motives but why not just HBO (help a Brother Out){ and pay an extra 20 for digital edition and keep mofos employed!
Mrwatchdog1000 Something tells me these "mofos" will remain employed regardless of the insane level of corporate greed on their part. Most gamers are not what you call intelligent when it comes to supporting the good ideas and kicking the bad. Most gamers seem happy to be stuffed over on a regular basis so yeh help a corporate cockroach get richer. (oh extra money does not = extra pay for your "brothers" trust me) lol It will not equate to better content, it will not equate to better pay, it will not equate to better future games. It WILL equate to more bold measures being taken in the future by Zenimax to treat loyal fans like cash cows. I would rather fight to earn my horse fair an square rather then pay to win. As for Imperials i am reserved to the "well they are our enemy anyway" train so kiss my ass Zenimax. It all defeats the purpose of the game. I have yet to see a game that uses a weak pay to win model succeed for extended lengths of time. Feel free to correct me. You want another EA in the making be my guest.
SamWinchester11 All of that makes sense, there's just one thing: ESO is a game that I *do* want to play if by any means possible. That makes me one of those unintelligent gamers, I suppose.
One other thing that force didnt mention for PvE content, there will occasionally be maps that drop off enemies or in chests that are small treasure maps for their associated island, often just lead to a chest with some loot, but still something to look out for (also their pretty well done too, like an old timey hand drawn picture of a location with a small indicator where around it is) and you need the map to get the treasure so you cant just cheat it and look them all up online, for those wanting it all easy~
InkOnTube Yes they had access for a whole week, if they only bothered to spend 4-5 hours it is their (ESO) problem. The so-called gaming journalists are really more like gossip magazines columnists.
whereas you are a shining beacon of everything that's right about humanity with your kneejerk resorting to mindless insults to refute arguments in youtube comments
Smoochiekins Your arguments are made of bullshit, because you have no evidence of what end game is truly like. So again, go back to your cave where you belong.
PvPlayer I have every single MMO that's come out since WoW. Not a single one has launched with anything remotely resembling a decent endgame. And what exactly has ESO done to inspire confidence that their endgame will be different? That's right, they put a freaking NDA on their high level content. That's reassuring. So that's quite a few things I have to support my arguments, actually. Whereas all you have is evidently your youtube comment insults. Gonna leave you to seethe in your own nerdrage now, buddy Sorry you have to deal with stuff like this Force, glad I don't have your job :>
Important to note that all the Icons do not show up automatically on your map. Sometimes had to explore to unveil the icons and then find the NPC to start the quest.
i will mainly buy this game for the pvp. it looks like the pvp is going to be amazing, i played LOTRO for years and loved that pvp system (2 teams that can capture keeps which has npc where you can be save most of the time, taking keeps and fighting other players while in a 24 man group with one leader that is trying to controll everyone throught voice speech was probaly the most amazing pvp experience i have. i really hope elder scrolls online can bring something similair because turbine (the makers of lotro) never expanded pvp with a new map or other things so after playing that map (which was i think 1/3 of cyrodiil, the ESO pvp map) so hopefully zenimax will give pvp more attention and i might just have the mmo for me for years. WOW is also going to make one big pvp map in the next expansion with places to capture and npcs etc so that might be cool too if this turns out te be not that good.
What is is with MMOs and marking every shit there is to do on the map? What happend to immersion and adventuring out to search for cool locations/bosses/hidden dungeons etc. Now everything is spoon fed to you and there is nothing mystic about the game world. Man I miss pre-wow games....
O'Ryme you can see them on the heads up display from a huge distance so even if they are not on your map you know they are there. I you couldn't see them at all before having discovered them I would be happy with it.
Theres pvp raids and if you want to take clearing a dungeon a raid then it could be a raid but in pvp raids you and your alliance raid another enemy alliance to takeover the territory
You can not only buy a horse at a stable, but you can feed your horse there to level it, to improve its speed, carry weight and endurance (resistance to being knocked off when attacked). It's 250g per level, but you can only feed it once per day.
John Smith Me too. I was just travelling around discovering Wayshrines, and then a loading screen came up, and I was in the Rift. Saw about 10 sabre cats and sprinted straight to the Riften wayshrine and went back to Ebonheart.
From what i have played, i really like the way the game looks, the exploration, the quests, and very impressed with how well the game runs. However, the combat is incredibly unsatisfying, like every elder scrolls game. Hopefully i will get to try out the pvp next beta weekend. If thats as good as GW2's WvW then it will be worth the sub fee, if not i will wait 6 months before it drops the sub and goes buy to play.
Was disappointed at first when i learned this was a sub based game, but after playing the beta and watching these vids, i really don't care. It just looks... bad. Combat looks boring and dumbed-down, etc. I played WoW until WotLK ended and nothing has come remotely close to being that much fun. Guild Wars 2 is awesome, but the lack of motivation to keep playing after reaching max level was pretty meh, due to gear stats being pretty much set in stone and dungeons being ridiculously easy. EVE Online is another one that does it right, although that's a completely different type of game. I think i'll stick to Reaper of Souls and Battlefield 4... I'll give MMO's a miss until Blizz pulls out another gem after they've finished milking WoW (here's hoping).
A small correction: The Dark Anchors are for pulling the world to Coldharbor, not to invited the world -- the monsters around the DA are their to protect the anchor, not to invade.
It's the lack of any kind of art style They went for a realistic look but forgot that if you want to pull that off you have to crank the graphics up to 11 and set high hardware requirements for your players so that they can even see it, so instead of it looking great and "real" it just looks bland.
totally agree with you. mentioned this under some other videos of ESo online - aet style is awfully depressing for MMO - they have to understand that in MMO you ussually play more then few hours in a row and watching these depressing colours for more then few hours is just very very annoying and doesn't inspire you to stay longer in the world. Worlds in MMO should be very apealing and inviting. it's probablly the biggest problem with this game tbh. Class mechanics and ability design is actaully not that bad, bad art style.. just .. meh. Could have at least dress characters in colorful tabards during WvWvW
Why must so many ADD-riddled children demand bright and garish colours all over a game world? There's a plethora of those kind of MMOs out there already, go play one of them instead of ripping on this game for sticking with the TES art style.
This is far from the first subscription game to offer a collector's edition or even sell a race. Nobody complained that WoW had paywalls when they did it. It's fine.
Guess expansions are a grey area as to whether or not it counts as a pay wall. Just didn't seem as worrying to see them charge for a new expansion that included a race and new raids/zones/ect where as ESO has pretty much ripped a race out of the game and making you pay for it just to play it. Mind you a race that has always been an Elder Scrolls playable race.
Futrix There is no other mmorpgs who have had a pay wall for a collectors edition to get a "race" they have had other things like mounts witch is fine, but hiding an entire race behind a pay wall is kinda wrong. But hey, it is what it is...
Futrix Every single World of warcraft expansion with races have been standard editions and not collectors editions, so i dunno what your talking about. And if you know some mmorpg who got a race behind a pay wall "collectors edition" im eager to hear it.
***** You misunderstood. Selling races as part of a $60 expansion pack is no better than selling them as part of a $20 CE. In fact, expansion packs are the very definition of a paywall. Selling a side-grade race or class is fine, that isn't limiting progression at least. But charging players to raise the level cap and unlock new zones while they are paying their sub? That is WAY worse than anything ZOS wants to do... which is NOT charge for expansion packs.
shrine of mara is for the marriage system i think. because if ya preorder the game you get rings of mara to do a ritual that gives 2 ppl a exp boost when they play together.
What's the problem if there's a new ESO video? It is his channel and these videos are informative for those who are waiting for the game! That's the dumbest reason to unsub I have ever seen.
Ah, now i get it. At first i was running into those icons on the map thinking it would full in by exploring but apparently they actually work like Guild Wars 2's hearts - complete the task there to fill it. I assume completing the entire zone gives me a "loremaster" achievement and hopefully some fancy reward.
The Shrine of Mara is where you and your friend do the ritual to get the rings for the bonus exp. you need to have the Collectors ed to get the rings but then you go here to activate them.
You don't need the rings from the Imperial Edition. Those rings just give you even more XP. Anyone can get "married" at any time in the game. The Rings of Mara are just a boost over normal rings you use in the game.
Please learn all the facts and read the whole post before pretending you know what you are talking about. I was not talking about getting married, I was talking about the Mara shrine and the Mara Rings from the Imperial ed. In order to activate them, you go to the temple of Mara.
James Cook The Shirines of Mara are where you go to get married period. You're talking like it's something special when it isn't. The only special thing is the rings.
For the skull and crossbones, you just need an orchish tanking Templar to tag a lot with you. Solo'ed the version for Daggerfall with shear tenacity and spamming the heals.
1:55 Shrine of Mara is where you arrange marriage between two players using Mara's scroll. giving you and your partner 10% more xp while playing together.
I pre-ordered the imperial addition for PS4 back in February. I was ready to buy it in April aaaaaand... 6 MONTH DELAY DX This better be worth the wait. I'm gonna join the Daggerfall Covenant as an Imperial.
It's true, a few of those skulls are soloable, I could solo 2 while i couldn't get near any of the others, The daedra one and a skeleton one, both gave me epic items, One sword and a clothhood.
Hey. new to your channel. you seem genuinely stoked with the game so far yet the fan base seems divided. what's everyone so hot over? liked and subscribed anyway bud, keep 'em coming
That map of Tamriel. That map. I knew they were withholding areas of it for expansions. But damn did they have a surprise up their sleeves. So much of it, almost more than half of Tamriel by the looks of it--wow. I don't think expansions necessarily have to come with new expansive zones, so I don't see the logic. I don't think that was a particularly bright decision on their part. It only ends up looking like an unfinished product. I hoped so much to see something like Arena with modern graphics. I'd even say Arena looks much better. About a month and a half from launch now, no way they can add the rest. =/
Your name really fits, because I really need to FORCE myself to be able to play this game, since I payed extra to pre-order. At least the Molag Bal statue is cool.
Ah, don't know why I thought u meant you just pre ordered. The game is shit! It was fun when we could get 200 vs 200 seige battles, but now I go into PVP and it's dead. I just quest in Cyrodiil until someone comes along and kicks my ass.
All right, I had played the few recent "big" MMORPGs during and after beta for at least 4 months (SWTOR 9months, GW2 7months and FFARR 4months). I had recently participated in this open ESO beta but all I can say is, it is a decent game atm but the beta was troubled with way too many bugs. I know it is a beta, but SWTOR, GW2 and FARR (BETAS) combine has fewer bugs than ESO's current beta. With that being said, GW2 has the most current bugs as it is a one time purchase game thus you can't expect developers to patch it every day/week. I hope the developers of ESO fix this the bug problem first before promising and doing other unimportant things as their launch date is just around the corner.
Also, force could you be a little less contradicting. A few months back you said you dislike FFARR because the beginning is as boring as day (That is the truth, we know) but then recently, you also said that ESO takes awhile to open up and take at least 4-6 hours before you can actually enjoy the game? Isn't it the same thing but sentence differently? From what I had read, seen and played everyone was dead bored of ESO at the start but those who endured long enough will eventually enjoy this rich lore game. That goes for FFARR, the mid-end game is marvelous to say the least. Will saying/mentioning bad things about ESO effect your cash inflow? if it does than we will understand. But like many other fans/commenters of your ESO coverage/your channel, we would like to see a true review from you.
nefarious k Lastly, there is also something really wrong, as so far 70% of the media/youtubers are shitty on ESO. No one will criticize a good game if it is actually good but then again, most of their argument is that ESO isn't skyrim which is a stupid argument as ESO is an mmorpg not a single player, which follows the ESO theme/universe. Looking forward to your real review after the whole beta shenanigans
"you will absolutely have to be in a group"
What kind of filthy casual do you take me for? I don't need a group. I never need a group! NEVER!
It's also because I have no friends to play with. The loneliness has made me strong...
nobody wants to play this shitty game
***** you mad bro? it's hard to face the truth huh?
***** played it. worst game ever.
Never played the game. Had the option of playing the beta, but actually decided not to because of reasons.
YourEngineer Stalker Fapping was more important to me too..
I'm really glad you made this piece. You did a wonderful job explaining the map icons, I think I learned a bit here. I had wondered specifically about the "eye" icons. I would go to them and there seemed to be no purpose. But if the skyshards are nearby... Now I know!
Very informative.

agree'd Its funny though, a few mmo vets in my guild fell in love with eso :D
Personally I have the best of both worlds, I am a super tes fan (played since Morrowind) AND and MMOaholic.
The more footage I see from the game, the more I'm willing to give it a shot. It looks like it'll be worth the 60$
Well in modern day u can get it for 3 pounds
I got it on sale for 5$
I have never been more excited for a game before. I am completely ready for this game to come out already.
I have to wait even longer though since I'm gonna be playing on the Xbox One, which doesn't release until June. Sad face :(
Oh yeah you pc players are gods to console people , i will hail to you allmighty Korozenn arrogant pc god.
Piste Viiva calm down
Piste Viiva The mighty Gaben Newell will smite you down for your insolence.
Piste Viiva
Take a chillpill and relax. Me to man i don't think i have ever been so excited before for a game in my life. I am almost more excited to get this game than a gaming pc lol
THEY ARE NOW ALLOWING US TO SKIP THE STARTER ISLANDS
:ooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I thoroughly enjoy your ESO videos. They are so helpful and am totally excited to play this game again whether it is in beta or in launch!
Thank you so much! I think I'll be getting this for my birthday in a couple days so this is really helpful.
Shrine to mara allows players that purchase the imperial edition to get married to another player for bonus exp when playing together. (rings of mara are used there).
I was on the fence about buying ESO. But after watching a few of your videos, I am going to pick it up. You've got me all excited for it! Thanks!
I was excited about this game until the past few months, this game would have been cool five years ago! =(
Kirk Douglas I am very excited for the game but respect your opinion. I find so many new things I have never seen in other MMO's that bring me great joy. I suggest picking it up.
Hope to see you out there man, take care.
this game needs to come out already!
Liking this game the more I see of it. Great video
Hey Force you forgot to mention that Banks are account wide, thats the reason bank space costs a fortune =)
Keep up the good work =)
They are? Sweet!
Wow! And this is only beta, can't wait to see the full version! ;)
This game actually looks fun, I didn't even know that it was this fun looking.
Can't wait to play ESO so far despite what some people have to say. It looks good to me :)
I can't wait for this game to release. I just might pre-order for those extra days.
Still hate that they are locking a race behind a paywall, doesn't mean I don't like the game itself.
@bbch I know right? xD
yeah because aparrently one microtransaction should be enough to fuel hate for an entire game right?
Hunter Keenan Apparently they are adding micro transaction into the game too. I hope i am wrong though.
After watching alot more ESO videos it actually starts too look a bit better but the price is still too high for what your getting.
I agree..every game on this face of the earth needs to be F2P
the thing is, this content is just what you get at the start of the game, for the first months. If zenimax holds up to its word, you will find this and many more things in the next months since the p2p model is suposedly being used to bring new content every month or so. You pay the initial 60 dollars for this right here. The other 15 each month should be, in theory, new content and new things to do
Hurt Kobain He's talking about one single payment or a very low monthly subscription >_>
Hurt Kobain Why the fuck would that be?

Well said bro :) I just hope people start to notice that this game has so much potential and supports it.
So hope you can somehow get a good pc!
still not better graphics then GW2 tho, and burger flippers can still pay £8 a month im sure.
Lazy fucks.
Game doesn't look as shitty as I thought it would. Actually it looks like fun. Too bad it has a subscription fee and I won't play it ^^
szopad not anymore
BeefSupreme lmao
Sweet update- I'm getting a really positive vibe about the game from your reviews. It'd be great to see you comparing the recent crop of high quality mmorpgs on PC sometime in the future
Man I love video games, I always have and always will. From age 6 I aspired to be a game producer and only until recently my interest has changed to producin music. It's probably just me but it seems like games are becoming less playable. Bear with me here, I played WoW and now it seems like any other MMO just isn't as good as it, no RPG has been as good as Oblivion, and no adventure game is better than Kingdom Hearts 2. It's probably just me growing up, but it pains me to see such a loss in my video game enjoyment..
me too
enkh MN Nostalgia.
Warlords of Draenor looks to be a good expansion though buddy, doing so many healthy changes to the game.
I just can't bring myself to play wow since I raided through cataclysm. It just took up too much of my time is all. I still love the game I just burnt myself out on it.
Different people have different opinions.
starting to grow more and mroe fond of this game as i see how it opens up.
Bye bye February and Mars, we don't want you. We want April.
fantastic video Force, well cut together, enjoyed it a lot and am feeling much more comfortable about getting this game on my PS4, I can work through the slower beginning for the greater game, plus I have friends already going to play on the PS4 too, cannot wait!
MMO's the perfect example of people getting so caught up in the destination they forget to enjoy the journey.
I've seen that quote elsewhere. Only that it is soo wrong, lol. MMO are all about grinding, endless, neverending grinding... and anyone that knows anything about grinding, knows that the destination is NEVER near and that while you continue to grind, it's ALL about the journey, one based entirely on grinding!!! lol xD
Myles Johnson MMO is the perfect example of the exact opposite of that, yes.
Firebrand yes but people do all that grinding to get somewhere.
Myles Johnson Agreed, but at a snail's pace (who also has narcolepsy)! It's a form of self-harming, I tell you.
Others may have mentioned it already, but the Shrine of Mara is for the Ritual of Mara xp-thing from the imperial edition pack.
This is like WoW but with Elder Scrolls in the title...
idk what crack you're smoking but you need to pass that shit.
this game is nothing like WoW..by your definition GW2 is a WoW clone too ..damn these F2P trolls are soo salty
ESO and WoW have barley anything in common other than being an MMORPG.
So by your logic Everquest, and Dark Age of Camelot are WoW clones too.
Best ESO video yet, thanks!
Quick lore question: If the Aldmeri Dominion are trying to prove superiority of elves, why are Khajit with them and not, say Dark Elves or Orsimer?
The High elves have tricked the Khajiit to help their cause many times trough out Tamriels history. The Dunmer usually does not want to help anyone if not other dark elves win on it. The orcs does not judge people for race, beleifs or gender but rather for what good or bad choices the individual makes. If an orc does someting he/she wins on it is considered unhonourable, but if he/she does something many others win on it is honourable and chanses are higher that the orc will become cheif/cheif's wife or forgewife.
Because all good fascists need a slave class, and the Aldmeri Dominion occupies Elsweyr.
Skyshard locations are hinted at in the achievements window. They're vague clues but fun to go and find because more skill points are awesome.
there are only three things to do in mmo's. grind, dungeons, pvp.
+Jarlaxle Baenre and troll/join the freaking rollplayers
thats for lame people boi, aint nobody got time for that
You could very easily describe all games so simply.
Thanks for the info Ive learned more in the last 12 minutes than i did in the 6 hours of beta i got to play. :)
The best thing you can do is to wait 6 months, and the game will lose the subscription.
Gene Starwind
Not to defend the ESO, but I feel like I have to point out to you where you're wrong.
I loved that they added Elite mobs like in wow in the open world...this adds a complete fresh element to difficulty and the fear that you can never really feel secure!
shrine of mara is for rings of mara and imperial horse is only 100g good reason to spend extra $20.00 on digital IMP Edition.
imperial horse is not 100g, you cant buy them unless you have imperial edition. The mara rings give you a crazy exp boost making the early grind game go by quicker, the imperical race its self has some the best racial abilities in the game. You also can craft imperial armor/weapons which look cool and are very strong, so ya id say its worth it .
DDeviled When in comes to armor "imperial" is just one of many styles. It doesn't confer any bonusses. None of the racial styles do.
now the horse is only 1g for those who pre-ordered making things even quicker for leveling and exploring. plus the rings of mara :) yes you can learn Imperial style through motives but why not just HBO (help a Brother Out){ and pay an extra 20 for digital edition and keep mofos employed!
Mrwatchdog1000
Something tells me these "mofos" will remain employed regardless of the insane level of corporate greed on their part.
SamWinchester11
All of that makes sense, there's just one thing: ESO is a game that I *do* want to play if by any means possible.
Yap 17k for a horse that has 15% run speed.
Can't you increase it by feeding them or something? That's what the guys in beta told me.
Fantastic Video this really helps be understand the icons and how the game works.
Force how are you still playing ESO? :d
Press got closed beta PvP.
InkOnTube Yes they had access for a whole week, if they only bothered to spend 4-5 hours it is their (ESO) problem. The so-called gaming journalists are really more like gossip magazines columnists.
***** I agree. "The so-called gaming journalists are really more like gossip magazines columnists." is the sad part.
as i watch more and more videos, i see myself falling in love, with this game
Things to do;
1) Rush to endgame
2) Discover laughable lack of endgame
3) Go back to WoW and wait for Landmark alpha to not be so absurdly overpriced
Dude go back living in a cave where you belong, you're a pathetic troll.
whereas you are a shining beacon of everything that's right about humanity with your kneejerk resorting to mindless insults to refute arguments in youtube comments
Smoochiekins Your arguments are made of bullshit, because you have no evidence of what end game is truly like. So again, go back to your cave where you belong.
Landmark and EQN will be Pay to wins. Look at what they did to EQ1 EQ2 complete trash with credit cards run those games.
PvPlayer
I have every single MMO that's come out since WoW.
Gonna leave you to seethe in your own nerdrage now, buddy
Sorry you have to deal with stuff like this Force, glad I don't have your job :>
Great informative video that answered one of many questions in a clear way. Thanks!
Black screen
zekonja90 Thank you ! =)
Thx man..
Important to note that all the Icons do not show up automatically on your map. Sometimes had to explore to unveil the icons and then find the NPC to start the quest.
"Points of Incest"
i will mainly buy this game for the pvp. it looks like the pvp is going to be amazing, i played LOTRO for years and loved that pvp system (2 teams that can capture keeps which has npc where you can be save most of the time, taking keeps and fighting other players while in a 24 man group with one leader that is trying to controll everyone throught voice speech was probaly the most amazing pvp experience i have. i really hope elder scrolls online can bring something similair because turbine (the makers of lotro) never expanded pvp with a new map or other things so after playing that map (which was i think 1/3 of cyrodiil, the ESO pvp map) so hopefully zenimax will give pvp more attention and i might just have the mmo for me for years.
Yes I'm also disappointed by this but unfortunately it seems it's becoming the norm now, Will have to get used to it I suppose :(
you have to discover them first before you can see them.
O'Ryme
you can see them on the heads up display from a huge distance so even if they are not on your map you know they are there. I you couldn't see them at all before having discovered them I would be happy with it.
you discover them first before you are able to use them you moron.
JezaGaia well the amazing thing this game offers is mod support from curse! you should easily be able to find one that will hide these locations
You can also spend 10g to expand your stable (if you want one horse for carrying stuff, and another for pvp, for example).
Is there raids in ESO? I hope there's Raids... There should be a raid, it needs a raid...
Chin Nation there is raids
ufckiller100 I only seen dungeon so far not Raids. Idk I'n only lvl 30 so I haven't seen the whole game yet.
Theres pvp raids and if you want to take clearing a dungeon a raid then it could be a raid but in pvp raids you and your alliance raid another enemy alliance to takeover the territory
+Chin Nation Am I the only one that thinks there should be raids?
You can not only buy a horse at a stable, but you can feed your horse there to level it, to improve its speed, carry weight and endurance (resistance to being knocked off when attacked). It's 250g per level, but you can only feed it once per day.
Seems people loosen up to this game the more they play it
AnimaRocc exactly my point. People need to give this game a break and let it get released before they judge it so harshly
I was the opposite. after i played it i was like eh, the combat isn't as food as tera and it's a lot of running. still getting it tho
Wtf I didn't even know this was Force when I clicked on the video. I'm so used to his OW vids
Hey, who wants to go to Skyrim. LOL
John Smith Never go to Skyrim in this game until you are level 42+ even the bears are high levels.
already ahead of you, went to riften and had to turn back
John Smith Me too. I was just travelling around discovering Wayshrines, and then a loading screen came up, and I was in the Rift. Saw about 10 sabre cats and sprinted straight to the Riften wayshrine and went back to Ebonheart.
Asekoth LOL, sabre cats in the skyrim game were though, but those guys beat them by a mile.
I am with the Aldmeri Dominion. :D
I think you meant free to play :D
John Smith play the game now
Thank you for the great ESO videos Force!
things to do in EsO onlline... unstall it and pick up a real mmorpg that isnt 100% shit and petty much forgot about, like wildstar
***** 1, its wildshit, 2 WoW is petty much fucked and now can be called dying, cuz them scaming their sub base with WoD killed it
A small correction: The Dark Anchors are for pulling the world to Coldharbor, not to invited the world -- the monsters around the DA are their to protect the anchor, not to invade.
I don't know what it is... Maybe the colour palette, perhaps the awful UI, but this game just seems so unappealing.
Maybe it is not as flashy as most MMO's.
There's a plethora of those kind of MMOs out there already, go play one of them instead of ripping on this game for sticking with the TES art style.
airalert33 Skyrim remains dark and gritty without sacrificing well placed color that remains subtle. TESO looks like a few steps back.
This makes it so much easier 🙏🏽
Sigh. This looks nice and all, but can't really support them with the whole pay wall BS. Feels sleazy and raises a lot of red flags.
Futrix
There is no other mmorpgs who have had a pay wall for a collectors edition to get a "race" they have had other things like mounts witch is fine, but hiding an entire race behind a pay wall is kinda wrong.
But hey, it is what it is...
Futrix
Every single World of warcraft expansion with races have been standard editions and not collectors editions, so i dunno what your talking about.
Just looking at the gameplay this game seems pretty boring...
Doing is different than seeing.
Really ? It looks pretty damn cool
Great vid and look at the maps/quests system.
Seriously? another ESO video? I get that they give you a lot of views... but it's getting old man. Unsubbed.
don't watch then
The NDA was just lifted, what do you expect?
What's the problem if there's a new ESO video? It is his channel and these videos are informative for those who are waiting for the game! That's the dumbest reason to unsub I have ever seen.
***** I don't, and I didn't mind the first 3... but so much coverage for a game like this? it's wrong.
Ah, now i get it. At first i was running into those icons on the map thinking it would full in by exploring but apparently they actually work like Guild Wars 2's hearts - complete the task there to fill it. I assume completing the entire zone gives me a "loremaster" achievement and hopefully some fancy reward.
Force, this was a very informative and helpful video. Well done.
Lion_Turtle then its something special... plz make your mind
seawolf888 Didn't ZOS confirm that the rings of mara will be available in the game through a quest?
For the skull and crossbones, you just need an orchish tanking Templar to tag a lot with you. Solo'ed the version for Daggerfall with shear tenacity and spamming the heals.
1:55 Shrine of Mara is where you arrange marriage between two players using Mara's scroll. giving you and your partner 10% more xp while playing together.
Great review Force. I enjoy watching your videos.
Great video, handy tips for a new player like myself
Guys, if you cut the clunky combat some slack, you can REALLY have a good time in this game!
I pre-ordered the imperial addition for PS4 back in February. I was ready to buy it in April aaaaaand... 6 MONTH DELAY DX
This better be worth the wait. I'm gonna join the Daggerfall Covenant as an Imperial.
Cool Vid, I only managed a 3 min video of eso content that was interesting enough haha Nice work!
Hey Force. If the NDA is lifted can you steam ESO on Twitch? I'm sure we all would love that!
thx for the explaination of the map icons, really helpfull
I simply love this game :D
AMAZINGLY well made video! I subscribed!
DON'T STOP THE ESO UPLOADS FORCE!!!!
This looks amazing, the only problem with it that I have is the combat , I don't like MMO combat, I really want an elder scrolls 6
But it is Elder Scrolls combat, not MMO combat. In fact, I'd say it's better than Elder Scrolls combat too.
Mara's is for relocating char/skill pts costs like 10g a pt i think or 100g a pt but it's all or none, no picking.
Minor spoiler:
Shrine of Mara has a lore book at it : ) I think it's for mage's guild
nice coverage Force !
Dude I actually found this vid very instructional and i have a lvl 17 character I had not notice stuff turning white. or the many other things... Thnx
guys is this your first youtube video?
Just wait a few minutes tilll hd is up
That map of Tamriel.
That map you saw was a very very small piece...
They said they were adding new continents every 4-6 weeks.
Your name really fits, because I really need to FORCE myself to be able to play this game, since I payed extra to pre-order. At least the Molag Bal statue is cool.
pure cancér pre order? the games like 2 years old
Reggie Rhoden Pre order, as in buying it before 2 years ago. Why would you assume I preordered it 2 years after it was released?
Ah, don't know why I thought u meant you just pre ordered. The game is shit! It was fun when we could get 200 vs 200 seige battles, but now I go into PVP and it's dead. I just quest in Cyrodiil until someone comes along and kicks my ass.
Since the beta went down. I need to get as much eso in as possible.
Awesome channel man! Subbed!
That lackluster map that was retconned so they didn't have to add Alinor to the game though.
