      Deltia's Gaming AHHH! Did you mention mundus stones matter? I noticed last night I had changed my mundus stone a week ago to increase health.. since I was trying to be a tank.. but that's not normally how I roll. Good thing I didn't do attribute points yet. *phew*

    Every time I watch your videos it inspires me to go try it out half way through but I have to resist and finish watching because you really do learn a lot. The idea to save attributes for last is genius because they are more just a finishing touch on means to an end, the other means being defense or offense and the end being survival. Finally, thank you for making me realize that I was focusing on the wrong character element. It wasn't until you said it that I realized I was ignoring my other skills and worrying too much about attributes. They kind of trap you in it though because of the status-quot of RPGs which is attributes first, then skills. Generally speaking, you also only spec once, but doing so in a game like ESO you are just creating a handicap for yourself. Thank you again so much!

    Now it makes more sense. Skills, passives, gear, buffs and race are going to ultimately be the deciding factor on how the attributes are going to work in your favor in different situations versus mindlessly stacking as I may or may not have been doing. Thanks for putting this into perspective for me boss!

    I understand it a lot more than before I watched this vid. What I learned was, get all your passives and armor modifiers and any champion points you have in place before you use your attribute points. That way you know how much from the base stat(Heath-Magicka-Stamina)that you have. Then you can adjust how you spend your points. Thanks for this vid Deltia it helped me a lot. P.S. you didn't offend me, I think you're just tired off get asked the same question. When you've already said in other vids that you can't give a definitive answer. Thanks again :)

    it makes more sense to me, thanks so much! being altmer means i have more magicka, but it doesnt mean i have more magicka, it means i can afford to spend more attribute on health and less on magicka, compared to another race. makes sense.

  • @lisagreeney7511
    @lisagreeney7511 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think its really simple to figure but just watch out for overdoing it in a category unless thats the defining factor in the build. Ex. Each race has a defining arch type build that is typical and is how the race probably should be played unless moving it a bit toward the next build in the lineup. Think of each arch type build lined up on a color wheel. The holy trinity and all the inbetween subtype builds which are slight variations means slight variations to stats accordingly. The best advice is like deltia said and to choose your constellation and use it.

    For levelling Mageplars, you only need Magicka since bursting enemies down gives you unlimited blocking with Repentence. I only ran into a few instances where I got one-shot and these were easily fixed by slotting Annulment or Rune Focus.

    Biggest problem i had when learning Attributes and how you build your character in ESO.. Was the explanation Zenimax supplies... Under the Character sheet when you mouse over Magicka and Stamina, it basically explains or at least implies that the stats affect Magic damage(Magicka) and or Physical weapon damage(Stamina).
    Even after I had a good RL friend explain to me that they have no bearing on that otherwise you would see the stat increases on your character sheet i still took a few minutes to completely throw out the notion that Stamina or Magicka had no relation to damage what so ever other then sustaining skill use obviously with larger resource pools.
    The character creation and build process is the most refreshing.. As character stat and skill build diversity has largely died in MMO genre after WoW pretty much simplified the system and made the choice for you and showed such great success from the formula... ESO's theory crafting gets pretty simple once you know the rules.. The UI just doesn't explain it that well, and some people hate searching for information on the net. Which can be lacking massively for ESO content.

      Also what do you think the best class and race for healing would be? a buddy of mine likes to be a healer but he doesn't know what a solid setup would be for that. I told him kitty cat and Templar. But I'm not sure too.

    Hey Deltia, could you comment on the economy development of a character because in addition to this great video if a person makes a mistake in the placement of skills and attributes how much does it cost them to "fix it"? If a person makes enough in game gold they'll never have to worry about how they spend their points.

    I am also a Khajiit NB. I figured I should put some magicka attributes (3 and I am level 35) because a lot of the assassin and stealth use magicka and sometimes I run out in tough battles because I sometimes use a siphon skill too. It says on the description of the attributes something along the lines of, "determines how many and how effective your magicka abilities are." So, you're saying it really only determines how many magicka abilities you can have (how big your bar is) and has nothing to do with damage? Because I like to use crippling grasp so I was confused about that. Another question... Some jewelry says "reduces cost of magic spells by X". Is that actual spells or anything that uses magic? Thanks I like your videos especially the specter ones.

    Nice post, ty.
    Here's the question I cant figure out yet, and yes, I'm relatively new to ESO. Lets say in your example you put 30 points of health into your attributes @122HP per point. That's only 3660 health points. So even with your character's multipliers at say ~20% total between racial bonuses, armor, and passive skills...we still need to account for a LOT more health to get us to 20K.
    So where is the extra 15k'ish of health coming from? I'm assuming that each race has its own "natural" growth rate for each attribute, and it varies from race to race. Without putting any points into a race, would for example, Redguards naturally acquire more stamina than other races, and would Orcs naturally get more health? If so, then what's the natural growth rate of each attribute for each race? These are the questions I ponder...lol. Thanks if you have any ideas on this.

    I have a question concerning my vet.14 DPS Imperial Nightblade. I have pretty much all of the class skills maxed & available to me. I also use the 2H weapon & bow skill lines both of which are also fully open/available to me. My question involves attribute points and their relationship to different skills. The way I thought it works is, increasing stamina points will add damage to skills that use stamina to activate them, ie. 2H weapon skill attacks and bow attacks and increasing magica will raise the damage of skills that use magicha to generate like the jealing ad you mentioned in this video. What threw me off a little bit is when you said if you use weapon & bows go health & stamina and if you use any of the staff skills. So my NB's class skills almost all cost magia to use even though they are melee attacks which, I believe, are carried out with one of my 2H weapons.
    So is it indeed true that the attribute a skill will benefit from in terms of more damage is the same attribute which that skill uses/costs to activate? and if this is the case then
    what meathods would you use to determine which attribute(stamina or magica) should you invest in after your health is satisfied b/c almost all of my build set-ups have used 2 stamina or magika skills paired with 3 of the opposite attribute. When about the first 2/3 of the damage i do in any fight comes from stamina oriented attacks mostly but magika based skills demolish the remaining 1/3 of the enemy's hp. However, I am able to overcome the final 1/3 hp far quicker then either the 1st or 2nd 1/3 hp because of the bonus some of the magika skills do to low health targets.

    • @Deltiasgaming
      @Deltiasgaming  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Benny S That's a really great set of questions. Basically how I setup my DPS stamina based night is using abilities that cost magicka only to buff and debuff. So like Repears Mark for instance. I use stamina abilities for damage that way I don't have to mix up my attribute points. So don't use Surprise Attack for damage, instead use Concleaed Weapon. Don't use Cripple for damage, instead use Venom Arrow.
      Great question, does that help?

    And more importantly is it still true?
    I've been trying to get some basic theoretical advice on character stats and I'm going round in circles trying to find a clear guide on what to aim for when putting together various Class/Role builds. Everyone seems to have an opinion on which set is best for which, but ask them what stats they are aiming for and you get nothing.

    I was wondering, if it's worth it at all to play a hybrid charakter, who uses physical attacks just about as much as magic.So per example a templar, who wears a sword and keeps himself alive with magical heals. Or is it just better to serch for heals that scale and cost stamina and not put points into magica at all?

    How does stamina work in terms of weapon power? I use set bonuses and pots to increase my raw weapon power stat. But, doesn't stamina also increase this? When increasing the max pool of stamina, I don't see the stat go up. Does stamina only affect the damage of weapon abilities, and not the stat itself, (light and heavy attacks)

Unfortunately as a someone unfamiliar with the language/aspects of MMO's - I can't understand or follow your videos. They seem to be targeted to knowledgeable players not someone like me. planning to play a sorc with staves; so I guess i will be aiming to get my Health and magicka high, but I still don't know how much stamina is enough for PvP as a magicka build?

    Deltia, I was wondering why in some videos I see health, stam and magicka at roughly 20,000 points and other times I see it at 2000-3000. Is this some sort of PvP scaling thing? Is it lower in PvE areas but when in cyrodil there is some sort of upgrade?

    Why do you split your health bonuses across Attribute Points and Enchantments? Why not just try to reach your health goal with attribute points and use the spare enchantments for stamina or magicka?

    Delta I'm making an imperial bloody butcher. Do you recommend more health and less stamina, or more stamina and less health? I've been leveling them pretty equally so far. Should I just level health to hit the "threshold" and then put the remaining points in stamina?

    hey delta, are there enough skill points available , sky shards- for one character to master ALL weapons, 2 armour sets, three craft skills, racial passives, and a couple of guild skill lines? i have a DK- have about 200 skyshards- 181 to go- just wondering if its worth enduring levelling every other weapon - or if its just easier to get another character to do his thing...

      of course- i know its possible- just wondering if its feasible- alot of sky shards are going o be tough for a solo traveller thru craglorn and in dungeons and in cyrodial.

    So with DPS you decided to go with the Warrior stone instead of the Shadow?

    So 20,000 health on this character. What would you suggest as minimum health on dragonknight tank? Which I know that you have cause I watched your tank video! Deltia's Gaming
