      So true, one of the reasons i stopped playing was because I didn't enjoy the race I was playing but I wanted to be a certain class.

      @@dottzgaming I've followed a templar mag dps build, and now cp lvl 360++, but I'm scared to join battlegrounds. Dunno if I should switch up gear(julianos + withered hand), skills, etc in order to be able to play it? One thing is jumping in there lvl 10 not knowing what to do, but most people my lvl might have proper PVP builds?
      If we have to get 2nd or better to get rewards, I don't wanna be the reason why we ended 3rd if that makes sense?
      None of the PVE guids gives any info on what to do if you want to play PVP with that build, and how to make the most of it. It's either stick to PVE or stick to PVP. But then you watch guides like this, and it's just: do this and do that... In terms of lvl I might not be a complete beginner, but I still feel like a beginner with so much, as this game is so daunting...
      Should I not care about any of that and just jump in?

    • @dottzgaming

      If you want to PvP, you're better off with a dedicated PvP build. Do keep in mind you can have more than 1 build on a toon - all my characters have dedicated builds for both. Id get a PvP build on and just hop on in!

      @@dottzgaming Thanks for answering my question! Not all YT'ers do that, appreciate it very much! I'll try and find a build that will help in PVP! Then hopefully not get rekt!

But need more info such as =what do the chat abbreviations mean? =how do i get the small map on my player screen? =what do you do with things like transmutation crystals? =what the heck is a spirit stone? =what do i do with those darn museum pieces that hog up my inventory, are they important for something later? The fighters guild is a good skill line to have no matter what race or character type you are! The sooner you get ALL skill lines on your character the better!! Trust me you want them all, once you hit level 50 and start to fine tune your character that’s when you’ll decide which skill lines and passives you need to invest in, but you don’t want to have to start leveling a guild or skill line once you already level 50. You want to do them all from the very start!

    These games are chalk full of players who dont help and shun players who are lower levels. I'm a cp300+ and guys in groups doing dungeons are down right hateful. They gudge builds if they aren't max cp or running what they would or the meta version build. Godforbid you want to make a build on your own! Newer players have little chance of succeeding due the to seriousness these players take when playing this game. They take the fun out of it and discourage players rather than help them and keep the community alive. When this game dies and one day you realize, "no one plays anymore 😭" it will be your fault! You treated everyone like shit and didnt help them learn. Dont take this game so serious guys, help newer players and let's make this a great place to play. Stop treating everyone like shit because they aren't cp capped!

      All video games have their toxic d-bags - regardless of the genre of game. That's the reality of being able to be anonymous on the internet, people feel they can act however they want with no repercussions, so for some, it brings out the worst in them. The key is to fall in with a group of the right kind of people. That's what the Dottz Gaming community is for. The website and TH-cam channel here are chalk full of info to help get new players started and on their feet, and we have a discord server where people can chill, interact, and ask questions - AND we also have a guild on every server except PS4EU.
      For more info, check the links in the description.

      People like you are the real heroes in MMOs. I totally agree. And it's not just ESO. The gaming industry as a whole has become so much more toxic than it used to be. It hasn't totally gone to shit... there are a few games out there with good communities. Lotro is amazing, unfortunately the game itself isn't enough to hold my attention. I've just recently returned to ESO, and haven't really had any interactions with other players so far :/

  • @StoakedYakapo

    Thanks for the video. I've been playing for years and stumbled on this video to see if I could find a priority list rather than tips. However, from all the videos ive seen, yours actually gives people what they need to save alot of time wondering what to do. The priority list I had in mind would be the easiest things to do as soon as you log in, such as training at a stable, opening all mail for resources, etc. As i said, you were already very thorough with the things you list. Such as main quest importance. I would add that questing can be the fastest way to progress but only if you complete entire zones at a time so you can do more at once and grab all the skyshards as well. Doing the dungeouns in some order to remember which of them you still have skill points in for completing the quests. Although, doing a daily random might mess with this so always doing your random first and battleground dailies are great for xp so long as you dont keep coming in last in the battlegrounds (1st and 2nd to get credit) Anything else that could be added as maybe just advanced tips. Something like this to help people organize 😆. I'm sure you could do it better than I just explained. Or maybe you have already, but just a thought!

    Subbed. I’m level 43 and there were two massive things in this video I didn’t even think of. Mainly levelling alchemy, but I’ve also not bothered much with dungeons cos someone said there was no point until hitting cp160.

    • @direct2397
      @direct2397 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I Watch You From Afar he probably ment veteran dungeons. Normal dungeons are fine but idd don't go into a veteran dungeon until 160 or you could get a few good ppl who can carry you.

    • @dottzgaming
      @dottzgaming  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you enjoyed!!
      And like Direct said, you can start Normal dungeons at level 10, and id recommend it! You get lots of skill points, gear, and exp from dungeons. id wait till 160 for VET dungeons tho :)

    • @madestro
      @madestro 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Random dungeons are always recommended. What is not recommended is to keep that gear because the gear caps at CP160, anything before that will be temporary. You can deconstruct all you get from random dungeons (a lot of gear) and level up your crafting in the process, win/win

    • @kylebeach6799
      @kylebeach6799 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Like they all said, go for normal randoms at least semi regularly. If you plan on running alot of dungeons at some point or farming them for specific gear, knowing the mechanics for a given dungeon early on can both be a lifesaver as the enemies scale and cut down on how toxic some of the randoms can be.

  • @FatalFist
    @FatalFist 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    #1 Absolutely agree, you should be focusing on getting as much in your skill lines as possible. Crafting and all that jazz so when you do get to end-game, you can get the build you want easier. I found this out the hard way because I didn't have enough experience in my crafting to craft what I wanted and I didn't have the gold to afford all the pieces via the player market.

      If we’re talking about dungeons (not vet) once you get a good pve set up just put yourself as a tank cuz you won’t need one due to your set up and skill with it. That’s what I do, vet wise, just create a tank. One character for pvp, one for pve, and one for vet dungeons so you can farm them monster sets/sets of purple quality. I suggested tank because once you get a good set up and abilities, all you have to do is spam your taunting abilities and literally stand and block and that’s all people expect of you and you will always get into dungeons in 5 minute tops. Tank is always hella easy to make when it comes to pve but if you want a tank build for pvp then that’s a different story

    Very nice video. The only thing I would like to add for new players is to join players guild, not the NPC ones like mentioned here, but the ones that advertise from zone chat. Why? Some can be extremely helpful as we usually have players that know way too much about the game, we quest together if you need help, provide food/potions (sometimes free), training gear (free), events like zone runs, groups for dungeons and trials (new and veteran alike) and even PvP groups for those of us that are useless in PvP. You can have up to 5 guilds, you can join up, test the guild and if it suits you good, if not, you can leave. The only thing is that I do not recommend when starting out are Trading Guilds as some of them require sales or money, if you are starting out you may not know how to sell or what to sell, no need to bother starting out.

    Regarding the Harborage quest line, wait until you are at least lvl 15, (so you have 2 hot bars available,) and get some experience killing tough mobs like World Bosses, (being helped by other people,) because during the main quest line, you have some very challenging battles, and if you don't know how to play your character class, you are going to die a lot more than you need to.

    Thanks for the video. Just started two days ago. For feedback I'd throw in the locations of common crafting areas with map pictures and the bank. I was cluelessly wandering forever trying to find a bank and I still haven' t found an alchemy station. In the mage's guild maybe? I'm sure I'll find a post of it online somewhere. Finding iron ore is like finding a gold nugget but maybe it is just my luck.

    • @kylebeach6799
      @kylebeach6799 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@PK-uj8mp yes, but you will need to be very precise. If you got every skyshard, all quest possible skill points, and all your pvp rank skill points you should have enough for all the crafting trades, your full racial, the couple types of armor (if you don't follow end game builds and stick with 1 armor type you'll have even more extra) and you should also have enough to max your 2 weapon skills. You may be able to max at least one class skill line, but there's really no reason to, you should only need some of the passives and abilities from a couple of them by end game.
      TL;DR if you don't spend your skill points on excess stuff, then yes you can. But getting enough to do so will take some time, so i'd recommend maybe looking up skyshard spots for a region when you're planning to stay in that region questing for awhile.
