- In this Dark Elves vs. Warriors of Chaos multiplayer match on the Twisted and Twilight patch for Total War Warhammer 2, Malus Darkblade and Archaon the Everchosen duel to find out who is truly the LORD OF THE END TIMES.
I think he waited since the launch of the darkblade dlc to make this joke at the beginning :D

6:10 Those words sum up my thoughts to a tee. I cannot express how maddening it is to see monsters just derping around in a fight. Happens to carnosaurs a lot in mass engagements in a lot of replays I see.
I couldn't agree more. It's half of what makes the dread saurion a fucking joke, which is a travesty beyond words. If they can adjust infantry mass why can't they fix single entity monsters being bad at the only thing they're supposed to be good at?

@@dreamwar1586 meh, if I recall correctly dorghar is a shapeshifting beast, but I guess changing him that drastically would be too much. They should at least make him bigger tho.
@@tychoschenkels7841 He only changed a couple of times when Archaon found him - which was not by Archaon's choice. Archaon uses him as a horse due to his time in The Empire.

tz'arrkan can cause terror in campaign if you get the skill that lets him do that. Otherwise he just causes fear.
Really wished you turned corpses back on. Its such an eye sore to see models despawn every second, and a downer to end the the battle on a completely empty battlefield.
I recommend a shadow caster with Malus the withering might not leadership bomb as hard but then you can also run occams mind razor to turn Malus into a duel MONSTER.

Had a similar problem with my GS spiders against the lizards the other day. Seemed like they couldn't land a single attack. And then again with the Shredder a few matches later

I knew I wasn't going crazy when I threw a max level Assassin and Malus at a Rotting Promethian and some garbo infantry in a cove battle, They two manned it.... 😯😱😱

But I guess you really haven't truly been there done that until you've gotten intimate enough with a giant screaming tentacle monster to get Slaanesh's mark as a tramp stamp.

The single-entity jerking bullshit is SO fucking annoying. Idk how they can adjust mass but not address this or the gate issue. It makes what should be the most terrifying single opponent in the whole game (dread saurion) a fucking stuttery joke in melee. And that's not even mentioning how absurd it is that 4 skavenslave slingers can fucking melt any single entity in the game. Just give every single entity monster 10X more mass if you have to, they should not be getting stuck on troops that don't even come up to their ankles. ((also love your content, keep up the good work. There were some fantastic cinematic shots in this one!))
Been trying out my first solo lord army run with Archaon, came down to a 1v1 with Volkar during one battle, couldn't get a hit on Volkar cuz Dorghar was breakdancing in front of him!

Gotta say; I wasn't a fan when I heard about the mass nerf, even less of a fan now that I know how far-reaching it is. Mass is a huge asset, stop making it meaningless. If a ten ton monster comes barreling through your line, that line should be shattered on impact and everyone sent flying. Bring back bracing from Rome 2 and make spear units REALLY punish large units if you're looking for a counter to large, maybe even cause casualties to charging foes to deter charges
Yeah, if the only way to stop monsters was to have bracing spearmen, that by itself makes infantry more meaningful.
It is a concidence that Turin used the same strat recently? Did something change in the latest patch that made people take notice of the synergy?
coincidence probably. but not really a new strat, its just that Malus got some buffs so people are taking him for a spin again. this particular battle was played about 2 weeks ago
@@milkandcookiesTW Yeah it makes sense that two high level players could see the same potential. Kinda like one of those situations where two persons invent the same thing separately. I think this was the case with the telephone.
By the time Warhammer 3 releases, Archaon will be able to solo an army by himself. Oh wait.....

@@viclange3826 I'm playing him for the first time now (vortex) and I'm actually having fun :D. I heard they updated his mechanic as well so it's not that much of a handicap (full possession is just chance to have some loyalty damage)

what are your general thoughts aboıut dread knights? I like them a lot but many ppl say they underperform.
mediocre at best. Knights of the Ebon Claw are pretty decent, and Dread Knights in general can be solid in a few matchups. But they're slow and kind of squishy and expensive

But Warhammer has never been about naval combat. It is just a stupid way to piss off everyone
I doubt it, Naval battles were never that interesting in the older total war games. Only empire really did it right
Making good, thematic Warhammer naval battles would be a massive undertaking. Like making a whole new game. So I doubt we'll see it.
