Do your liner notes tell who is singing the solo in this song? I know some of the Erich-Weinert-Ensemble singers by name. They went on to do excellent things after the EWE was disbanded. The men's chorus became Berliner Maennerchor "Carl Maria von Weber." Sadly, they too were disbanded shortly after reunification.
