He got a 300k guarantee; despite the injuries, he's got an opportunity to chase the goal and find ways to grow that 300k off the field. Best wishes to him.

Carson Strong with an excellent college quarterback. I liked him and the play calling was excellent. If he takes what he learns in college he can be an excellent offensive coordinator cuz he had full grasp for that offense. I would be very surprised if he doesn't become a trainer, coordinator or coach when his pro career is over

I don’t think this the end of the word for Carson. He can easily turn it around. The problem is he is with the Eagles and it might be hard for him to shine. But if he can do in preseason maybe he get change with team like the Panthers and have chance to be QB2 or QB1, Seattle is another option

I was surprised a team didn't pick him up in the 6th or 7th at the very least, if his injuries heal, you'd get a potential starting QB at the end of the draft. Teams draft players with bad knee injuries all the time, even running backs, somehow Marcus Lattimore was still drafted in the 4th even though his knee injury was one of the worse I've ever seen. I was shocked noone took a chance on him

Eagle fan here and hope Carson Strong becomes a starting calibre NFL QB. Uphill battle though, with a knee condition that will likely not get better than it is right now and he must be able to at least navigate the pocket well and his film wasn’t encouraging on that count. Brady ain’t a mobile QB but, he is very good at navigating within the pocket and Strong will need to demonstrate similar abilities in the pocket to make it as a proper NFL starter. Wish him luck… could be a scary #2 for teams to face… especially, in the Eagles system with a great Oline, serious weapons catching and a proven run game.

We have the best O line in football. If he was going to go anywhere I think it's best that he went to Philly. He's not being rushed to start, and if he shows promise he quickly will become the backup for us behind Hurts. And you never know if Hurts doesn't work out, we could start him and he should be relatively "safe" behind our O line.

As a guy who played the game, albeit at the opposite end of the QB/WR exchange, the thing that struck me in every picture, was small hands. I also have very small hands. I was able to overcome that at the high school level, but at a certain point it becomes an issue. I cannot help but wonder if that didn't have some impact on the decision to allow him to go undrafted. I'm sure his knee issues are more important, but I feel like it may have been a combination.

  • @christophercorders6526

Medical history can make or break a prospect, especially a skill player. Because of the athletes playing, NFL scouts want QBs to have mobility/escapability. Strong has limits in both due to preexisting conditions. With proper rehab and training, he could overcome much of it. If he does, this kid will play QB for somebody.

With the Colts’ end of season quarterback issues, they should pick up Carson Strong as a free agent. He probably should have waited a year and played his senior season this year. If his knee was good enough and he could move again, teams wouldn't have been afraid to draft him. If his knee didn't recover, then he shouldn't plan on being a professional football player anyway. He doesn't seem to be a real #1 QB prospect. The injury history going back to high school is going to deter teams from planning around him. If he gets into the NFL and plays a little bit without getting hurt, maybe he will get to start and play enough to feel good about his career.
