@Lloyd Barnes - I had this idea. You perform this trick on them, and for an extra kicker, you use LUX to show them that the card and number they chose was the only one with an invisible X drawn on it.
Cool bro. I caught the influence straight away and worked out the method for clubs. A little more thinking on my part and I can see how. 👏👏👏 Props to Freak for this trick!
You know what would be cool? Being able to order a card custom printed with any order of the cards you wanted on it, similar to the way the card is printed in this video. It would be a great cheat card for Mnemonica or other stacks.
Incredible! What a beautiful way to make F.AS.T. even “faster”. And it works with all the suits. I’ve watched the Blackpool video and all is clear.Definitely entering my wallet as soon as my cash leaves haha😂.

Am i the only one not that impressed by this? The method seems rather obvious to me, and maybe to the spectator when they look at the card for a while.
Hey magicmagicman, maybe this isn't too impressive to you as a magician but don't forget how powerful even the simplest of methods are to a lay audience. There's a bit more going on with this than you may initially realise and those are the little details in which the gold lays within this effect. But each to their own thought, man. There's a ton of tricks that I can't bring myself to like. That's the diverse beauty of magic, I suppose 🙂
Actually, if you know any of previous work, you'll be aware of what I did at the beginning :) The great thing about Iceberg is though, there's so much included in the explanation that you've got an option for every situation. I just chose to use my own bit at the beginning to ensure my knuckles would refrain from being cracked haha
I agree with your last assumption. I always confidently assume that I'm the dumbest person in the room. 60% of the time, I'm right every time. Especially when speaking with someone like yourself. But please don't be mistaken. I'm not suggesting we "lower our standards", nor assume that our audiences' are stupid. Rather we (magicians) have a tendency to focus too much on trying to fool each other, so much that we often lose track of who our target audience and more importantly, what our goal is. When I said "don't forget how powerful even the simplest of methods are to a lay audience.", I'm using the term "simple" as in "simple to us". As in something we take for granted. Not something that is transparent. I'd consider something like a basic stack as pretty simple to us magicians. But to a lay audience, combined with false shuffles, it is utterly perplexing to the best of minds. I once performed for the Head of Technology of MIT in Berlin a few years back and used some "simple" stack work. It's one of closest times I've ever seen someone get to believing in real magic. All through the use of simple methods and showmanship (not that I have much). And of course, they were no idiot. Well, unless you say otherwise. What's great about Iceberg is that if they try to back track it, like Kayleigh does and think of a different card, i.e. 8 of Diamonds. It literally wouldn't work with this performance. I'm not saying to assume people are stupid. Or to attempt to go for low hanging fruit. I'm just saying that the worst hecklers that some magicians face, are themselves.
It gets even more difficult when she realises she could have chosen an 8 of Diamonds, 4 of Spades etc and they wouldn't have worked. Since you don't give away the card to keep at the end too, they really are stuck when it comes to figuring it out.
Why. Take a number... double it... then double it again. Uh yeah. For 3 that's a 12, 5 that's a 20... 7 that's 28... is the trick that some people forget how they got to the number?
Hi lloyd, would have it worked with another suit (is there another formula for the others? Which i cannot figure out and aim puzzled) if there is i will take it as a challe ge, if not, i wills top wasting time at all xD

@@Uduplr if you have a 2 multiply it by 2 twice as instructed it becomes 8 , she was lead into picking clubs all clubs on the card are times 2 times 2 , i say times 2 times 2 as it was instructed .
I think you need to know suit before you instruct the number formula later, for clubs it is 4x (2x, 2x), I believe for other suits its different formulas....
the link u provided does not carry iceberg, I tried looking it up in the search but nothing comes up, is this for sale or just something u wanted to show lol.
You are forcing Clubs as the suit, and the "Number" is always the quadruple of the Value of the card they thought of. In other words: Each Club from Ace to King is at the forced Positions of 4 times the Value of the Card they thought of (e.g. Ace of Clubs=4,Two of Clubs=8, Three of Clubs=12, ...King of Clubs (13)=52 !
Is it just me or is this painfully obvious? He nudged her psychologically to clubs, so that he didn't need to go to do some "tricky stuff". But I am sure that if she'd said hearts it would still have worked but he needed to do some tricky stuff. What made me come to realise what the method was, was the arithmetic. It's obviously not a freely chosen number it's sheer maths realising that I just ran it back in my engineer's mind and came to the actual method of the trick. Or at least I think I did.
yes, for the case of "clubs" its just 4x the card value which he told her to do. Also in the beginning she told him "clubs". Looking at the trick card there is no simple formula (or formula at all) for the other suits, so not sure what he would do if she picked these suits. But it seemed he needed to know "clubs" in advance (he asked), which means he needed something to steer him a different way if not clubs.
Thinking about it a little bit more, there must be 4 trick cards, one for each suit. Maybe starts with clubs but if a different suit is chosen, has to switch in a different trick card somewhere along the way. Saw this same trick elsewhere but had diamonds selected for the "4x" formula.
Of course had she gone for the seven of clubs, the position in the 'deck' would have been 28 ..and what do you know there it is, same for the 8 of clubs at 32 and the 9 of clubs at 36..Her choice of the suit was very much forced. He told her to choose an unlikely suit that you don' t know the meaning of and ruled out the spades.. that leaves hearts (easy meaning) diamonds (ditto) and...the clubs. Then any club she chose would be at the 'position' in the deck which is that cards number doubled and doubled again. 2 of clubs..position 8.
I think we're in a vast minority both among spectators and magicians, but I also find FAST and Iceberg to be painfully obvious. I'm not always against procedure, but this particular procedure seems hard to justify and relatively transparent with respect to method. I 100% believe that this fools the crap out of people, but I'm not one of them, and I don't like putting tricks into my show that I don't personally think are strong.
