When I first saw the trick without knowing, I had a different approach. Didn't think of using a gimmick. Instead I reverse squeezed the heck out of the deck behind the card, to bend it and sorta like a fan spread without actually fanning it, so that it comes out 1 by 1 and makes the illusion behind the face card. But it fails often as the cards more often than not came flying out. Maybe if I practice it more often or use a very used deck it will be easier without a gimmick card.

Most magic at the moment is all based around a few basic moves and themes, sadly its what TH-cam and TikTok have done to push magic towards a more 'camera' friendly art.
Understanding 'How It's Done' is easy enough, perfecting it is a whole other realm. Love your tutorials.
