- The final day of racing in Snowshoe after 6 days of getting beaten up by this rough track. I tried, I nearly died, it was fun

One of my favorite things about this sport: every single spectator cheers their heart out for each rider
Unless he had the same group cheering him on in a trailer behind him all the way down the hill, the crowd noise was edited in.
I once ran into a downhiller that also did cross country. He said downhillers share everything. Cross country trail riders would demand “hey, who took one of my energy bars!? Thought that was funny as I ride XC.

I quit RACING CAT 2 DH in co USA. no FANS.friends.NO CAMERAS NO HECKLERS. WAS just a wee cat 2 rider, but Still. CO USA. no dh love anymore. gonna ride moto in the woods instead. CHEERS.

Mistakes are part of racing, but both of those lost you considerable time. Without those two issues, I think you were on for a top 30! Awesome speed on track.
To be fair Ben, I saw two incredible saves, let alone a really smooth fast run!!! nice one fella !!

Wow, great job! That type of riding takes amazing skill and strength and reaction. I'm nearly 63 years old and still ride trails up here in Michigan. So long as I don't get hurt, its helping to keep me young.
Man, I only hope to be able to do the same thing when I get older! Keep up the fight!
Snowshoe is my home mountain. Still riding this DH trail without the bolder to bolder gap mid way, but at 59 still loving it
As a dirt bike racer, this is the only bicycle downhill video that I have ever watched. This is some scary shit. Im impressed. Balls of steel.

Trying DH in your 40's with no experience is an eye opener. It's an assault on the body. How do you hold on like that at that speed? Insane. Kudos.

Ben. You are an absolute legend. Only those two mistakes and you could have gotten higher up in the ranks. You were almost 11 seconds from winning. Those two mistakes cost you probably 5-6 seconds. That’s podium material!!! Keep up the good work.

The difference in skill level between you and me never fails to amaze me. I would have taken 20 minutes to get down that course. I also love the enthusiasm of the crowd. What a great sport! xx

This is some of the BEST MTB onboard footage ever. You really get a sense of the insane speed! GoPro effect is very minimal here.

i had a tricycle before i could walk and i ride everything from a foldable kids scooter to a 700lbs bike. i hope you realize that for us, normal people, the speed and accuracy and the saves you guys pull are just unreal.

From someone who had a mountain bike when most of these champions were crawling: scary as just watching. The tech is obviously astoundingly good now, but when combined with such skills, the result is an incredible point and shoot - irrespective of the terrain. Blessed to be able to join you via your camera. Thanks for the ride👍🏻

But also, because he and I are about the same age. Difference being that you guys have all been doing this for decades where I am on year 3 now and trying to keep up with the younger crowds.. 😬

Impressed!! I’m a cross country rider and am always amazed at those downhillers! Did see a few things that will help me like sometimes just riding over the rocks, etc. is the way to go instead of analysis-paralysis in the middle of. And make sure bike is maintained ship-shape always.

One of the best camera angles and coverage of this race. It was nice to see where the bike was going and still see all the track. I enjoyed watching that! Like the other comments say, I'd love to see an analysis of this run!

Sometimes with the gopro effect I think "I could at least make it down this" but man when you were heading through those rock gardens I could hardly believe you could even get through it, and it always looks so much easier on camera. I'm sure you are frustrated by the couple slips but that course looks so brutal and I'm sure you were absolutely exhausted. Everyone is proud of you for qualifying and racing all the content you've put out at the same time.
Both of those slips would have seen me covered with dirt! Great saves and great speed!
