Agreed! It's so awesome to hear these stories. I was lucky enough to fall into the east coast scene back in the 90s and was good friends with Frank when he was at Spooky. True story: My best friend Jackster and I were driving in Danbury Connecticut and we spotted Ritchie who was the owner of Monster Bike shop that was in the building with Spooky while he riding on the street. His bike looked so sweet we were both intrigued enough to stop him on the side of the road and learn more about it. We were so right. Next thing you know i'm trying to ride a Klein Attitude down Plattekill. LOL Immediately bought a downhill bike and gave that frame away
So cool this series with Page. He’s such a great story teller that we forget about him and just focus on who’s he’s talking about (Sam in this case). Sam Hill is a living legend in mtb, but we are so blessed to have Nigel Page in our history book! Thank you for being you Nigel!
I got into riding because of watching Sam Hill. I was already 30 tho. But my life would be very different now if I didn't. I build trails whenever I can now. So TQ for the inspiration Sam and all the other riders out there.
Hill is IMO definitely up there with the greatest of our sport. Maybe not in terms of wins (that goes to minnaar) or sheer dominance (vouilloz) but certainly when it comes to pushing the sport forward. To me he’s the mountainbike version of james stewart or chase hawk, the biggest innovators in mx and bmx. Interestingly hill, JS and chase hawk peaked around the same period, which made for a very time to watch my three favourite sports.
Started riding bikes because of Sam Hill's scenes in Follow Me. Hes truly incredible individual and has done so much for the sport. I always wait for his occasional entry into DH events
to make bets at the local hill with all the guys (and gals) not riding Focus bikes. then when i win (naturally, with a Focus) ill have another 400 euros to spend at the local bike shop.
You're not getting the views you deserve but you soon will. Don't stop. This stuff is gold.

All good brother. We’ve been here for years doing our thing! Mega views are great but a close companionship is better 🙏🏼♥️
