Your drills and explanations that come with it are one of the best I've seen. Techniques that really work. No bullshit. Better than watching Netflix. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge.
Right hand to stop a right leg kick Left leg kick to stop a right hand. Great video I've always underused my left kicks, tying them to my opponents right hand is perfect.
@Joe Blow yes oblique kick very effective specially lead leg sidekick to your opponent kneecap is good to keep distance and can be use offensive amd and defensive
Great video he’s always good 👍,but what about us southpaws ??personally though best way against boxers I find knee stomps and simple sweeps they always have to have all there weight in front leg to get power, and sidekicks and front kicks legs always longer then arms,
Damien Trainor first off all big fan off yours quality tips, love speed on them double kicks, yeah think southpaws good to go inside leg kick get head off the line,
Can anyone give me an insight into the gloves they are using here? They look like they’ve got more wrist protection than a typical glove, and maybe bigger than 16oz?
Can Damien show way to kick the back leg? And also if left switch kick if ok to do to the back leg or is it wrong? I think you tend to maybe kick more with the foot but I have seen some fighters do this. Joe Valtellini talks about doing it but I would like to see more about it.
Mike Tyson was a street fighter from childhood . He was a freak of nature in terms of fighting capability . His boxing was from new York street fighting anything goes .
Why put so much emphasis on kicking to the body when you could kick to the leg in order to keep greater distance and punish weight transfer? I can understand the switch kick in order to step away from the cross, injure the right arm or score a knock out via the liver shot but the right roundhouse to the body just seems high risk, low reward compared to a right roundhouse to the lead leg or a teep to the lead leg (this kind of stuff is both really annoying and low risk to a hands heavy fighter th-cam.com/video/DFn5hFPW-Ec/w-d-xo.html)
No disrespect but Muay Thai is regular boxing with kicks, knees , elbows and all that other stuff. The actual boxing part of Muay Thai is pretty much the same thing as Western Boxing is like Mike Tyson , Floyd Mayweather and everyone .
I absolutely love how much knowledge he has. He has studied how to counter his own aggressive style. The mark of a legend!
Damien has some of the best drills on TH-cam. So good! Keep them coming, please. :)

The step back after an aggressive kick followed by a push kick is actually clever. Thanks!
its called switch kick
Right hand to stop a right leg kick
Left leg kick to stop a right hand.
Great video I've always underused my left kicks, tying them to my opponents right hand is perfect.
Checkout this video with subtitles, it's hilarious!!
Great technique and definitely one of my favourite coaches.
Thank you damien and gold haired dude
Great video also teep kick, oblique kick and lead side kick can be used to stop aggressively boxers who like to close distance
@Joe Blow yes oblique kick very effective specially lead leg sidekick to your opponent kneecap is good to keep distance and can be use offensive amd and defensive
By far my favourite drill instructor. I wish I lived close to his Gym so I could learn from the master.
I really like that he allows contact on his face, just to show us what's really up. No half assery
Thanks, perfect tips for me who is building a kick based fighting style
Absolutely brilliant thank you
Beautiful and useful video
Great educative videos ,👍👍👍
Greaaaaat exactly what i needed love it
Thanks! Love the rhythm change / break second round kick to negate the punch - sure to mess with an opponents timing
this is so good it should cost money
Thanks really helpful 🙏
The fact he points out the waddle is next level detail…
Damien Trainor spot on with his techniques as always simple and effective!!!
Thank U for ALL the awesome content! Keep it up.
Great skills,as always.
These kicks work all day on the aggressive boxer or brawler
Great video he’s always good 👍,but what about us southpaws ??personally though best way against boxers I find knee stomps and simple sweeps they always have to have all there weight in front leg to get power, and sidekicks and front kicks legs always longer then arms,
James Miles all of these will work exactly the same for southpaws 😊👍
Damien Trainor first off all big fan off yours quality tips, love speed on them double kicks, yeah think southpaws good to go inside leg kick get head off the line,
damien is the best! respect!
Great video
Hey mate, have you done a use punches to stop a kicker, like a boxer over coming a kick boxer?
Distance and countering kicks.
I'm not going to lie I learn so much off you when I'm sparring I just shadow box ever 3mins the same routine
Great Drill Kru Damien Thank you.
So cool...kicking, punching and easy talking the same time
Can you post a video on gazelle hook punch
Exelente graciaspor compartir
Thank you gentlemen!
Push kick is only solution to beat a aggressive boxer. 2:22 to 2:27 is better idea.
Not vs a guy 30kg heavier
Can anyone give me an insight into the gloves they are using here? They look like they’ve got more wrist protection than a typical glove, and maybe bigger than 16oz?
Same I'm trawling through the comments and Google for em! Probably long discontinued by now
Awesome work and options. Your new friend from AUstralia. Dean
Against taller guys I train they throw blitz punches and they follow me with it if I distance myself, how do I counter blitz punches?
Go towards them and clinch, don’t run away
A good spear knee will make them think twice
Cheers 👍👍
Should you kick the body with the instep?
so many quality drills aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Thanks a lot

great stuff
Which type of muay thai is better to train for mma? Dutch or Thai? As i heard the stance in the pure thai version is too open and square for mma?
it doesnt matter, mma stance change a lot even when you come from muay thai and dutch is another version from kick boxing is not muay thai
Remember when I caught someone's elbow with that rounded kick on a drill swelled up like a grapefruit for 9 days
Then how to stop boxers like tyson who comes very close to land vulnerable punches...
Mike Tyson was a street fighter from childhood . He was a freak of nature in terms of fighting capability . His boxing was from new York street fighting anything goes .
Awesome
Un boxeador sale de la zona de golpeo y te parte la cara

I would not wanna be the taller guy taking all the kicks. But thanks for the video!
Front kick after a round kick is very effective, people constantly use it on me haha
Watch this with the subtitles on 😂
💪👍
I kept hearing he was the main trainer.. Not Damien Trainor
Turn on the autogenerated subtitles, thank me later...

Muay Thai scoring. Low kicks do not score as well as body kicks.
That explains a lot, thanks.
Best way to learn is by getting hit

This is muay thai vs. Muay thai. The title is misleading.
Awesome
