  • Since switching from the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, I've had a lot of thoughts about my decision. It's been pretty difficult since I left my iPhone 15 Pro Max and in this review, I will be showing why the Galaxy S24 ultra has its cons.

I carry two phones. My main phone and the one I like better is Samsung phone:I like Dex, multitasking, link to windows, ect. Apple for my family and some apps just work better but I hate how Apple nickel and dimes you on specs: it took forever for them to move the base storage to 128GB.

I am keeping my Samsung S23 Ultra and let the S24 Ultra mature into the S25 Ultra or possibly wait until an S27 Ultra. The only time I'm going to use an iPhone is when the company I work for gives me one. In a couple of weeks. I chose the iPhone 13 only for its Wireless vs the company offering only a mid-tier Samsung A45 5G that doesn't have wireless charging. 😑

The 15 Pro Max was my first iPhone. It was a lot of little things with iOS that were deal breakers. I didn't see the hype with it. I was surprised to see that apps didn't run as smooth. Certain things were just half baked. Picked up the S24 Ultra as soon as it was available.

Huawei p30 pro was the best phone that pack every useful features. And Samsung copied all their features after they got slammed by us market. I compared the camera with my note 20 ultra and my friends 14 pro max. P30 pro still better. Buy bad selfie though 🤪

Switched from iPhone and never looked back.
Once you go to Samsung, you realise how annoying IOS is when you go back to it.
No back button, lack of customisation even on the smallest thing.

the seperate volume thing is literally one of the most annoying thing on a Samsung, because you think that you muted it and later find out that it was just the call sound that you muted, but basically, if that is good for you, then I’m happy for you, me personally I don’t need the seperate volume adjustment, I just have my phone on mute and adjust the volume when I want to watch a video or etc.

@szeneskorina6491 Everything turns off/on at once if you use the toggles. You would have to manually adjust each sound to get the OP's desired result. Samsung also can split app sounds between devices. I can run Samsung Dex on my tv and watch with my own Hulu account and still scroll 5 different apps on my phone with their sound playing out of either my headphones or phone speakers. The sound settings even have a mini panel that you can activate with the volume rockers, which allows you to switch back and forth between listening devices. One UI is much neater and has way more customization options.

I have never used an Apple device and don't think I'll ever do because there's nothing that stands out feature wise that require an Apple device. With Android I can make the phone feel like mine that I own and with Samsung I can't go without the bixby automation anymore, tasks I'd do normally but it's now seemless and also use it for charging - wired/wireless charge to 85% till 1 hour before I wake up. Didn't think I'd need a pen or want one for my phone, but now I like using it and multitasking is great when I watch a video and research something (Samsung also made it so you can save your multitasking windows as favourites so you can just tap it and it auto opens the apps in split screen).
For some iPhone is stable or great ecosystem, but in my line of work and my dad as a programmer, iPhone is the last option to ever use and in my everyday life it would be more a pain to try and go from not too restricting to smothering in restrictions.

Can you tell me about your experience of transferring data from Apple to Samsung, especially Apple Notes to Samsung. Is there a program that needs to be downloaded? Your answer will help me through my dilemma. Because no one on TH-cam has ever made a video about transferring Apple Notes to Samsung.
    Thank you

I’ve had experiences with both platforms, both have their pros and cons and it really all comes down to what ecosystem your using the most, for me personally I prefer using Apple it just works better for my lifestyle but I can’t not give Android its props it also is amazing to use as well, I love both honestly and it all just comes down to what you enjoy the most, both platforms will give you an amazing experience.

I have both phones, Apple and Samsung.
Meaning I have no dog in this fight. I like both.
Iphone lowkey gatekeeps and their faithful consumers more than likely don't realize it because of lack of knowledge or being blind through marketing or loyal to a fault.
Point in case they were forced to go to usb-c by the European Union.
The reason why pictures are butchered and there's still blue bubble, green bubble (imessage). Is because the iPhone(Apple) is still on sms/mms, an older text communication system.
When the updated version is RCS.
RCS is a more seamless communication and better for the user experience.
Apple wants you to think they have a better ecosystem and better user experience by literally waiting to be forced by competitors and the European Union.
All this is to capitalize and lock customers in....
When in all actuality theres pros and cons to everything.
    Do the research.
Samsung has a great ecosystem, if not better.
No one can talk to me bout products if you haven't used it for at least 6 months to a year.
If you have multiple phones, you're gonna go back to what you know before you really give the other one a chance.

I recently changed from an Galaxy S10+ to an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I was expecting that I'd be extremely confused while using it, setting it up and all that stuff, however it was fairly easy to move and it's been a good experience. Battery life is pretty nice, my last charge lasted 40h of use without a charger, apps are really smooth and I'm happy to have it, my whole family (my father and my mother) recently switched to iPhones too so having the same brand all accross is a great thing. Also, for me while watching the video it seems like the screen borders on the S24 Ultra are bigger? the screen bezels seem so unnoticeable on the iPhone

It was buggy, and I went back to iPhone 13 about 4 months later. In 2023 I got a Pixel 7 and had it for about 8 months but the Android 14 beta seemed to make a lot of it get messed up. I went to an iPhone 15 Pro with a trade in that gave me $150 more for the P7 than I paid for it.. I got a Pixel 8 Pro a week ago, though, and love it.. @Das_Germaican 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

Apple’s formula is simple, keep it simple. You can throw all the features that you want at a person, it all comes down to how much they’ll use them. While I can be very particular about my phone, most of the people I know couldn’t care less. They’ll take a basic case, couldn’t care less about a screen protector, just toss their phone without a care in the world. Some of them don’t even know what cable they need to charge it. My wife was confused when she got the 15 and complained that she couldn’t use her old cable. Personally, I’ve come to a point where I couldn’t care less. I keep my wallpaper the same. There are a few things that I do care about battery life, longevity and how well my camera works. iPhone delivers on all of those. I do wear a watch so I’ll add that the Apple watch is by far the best smart watch I’ve tried. It’s even more accurate for things like heart rate measurements than dedicated fitness trackers like Garmin. I have a Garmin and it’s sitting on the table gathering dust.

While Androids may be feature packed and there are somethings I still prefer on that OS, my experience is just too solid on iPhone.

Keep in mind that RCS messaging will be launched on iPhones this year! That will fix all the problems with video and picture quality. 📱📸 Apple has been gatekeeping for years, but I'm glad the EU stepped in and called them out for their deception regarding Android messaging quality. 🇪🇺💪 The EU is also responsible for forcing Apple to add USB-C to their iPhone 15 phones. 📱🔌 I believe that once RCS messaging launches, former Android users who switched to Apple will return to Android, all because of what Apple wants people to believe about Android phones' quality. #RCS #Android #Apple #TechNews

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the iPhone at first, but I learned to love it for what it was. I love the Apple ecosystem down to my Apple TV. There are some things that iPhone does better and vice versa for android. I preordered the 15PM 1TB and I recently got the S24U as my secondary. Within the first day of having my android it was customized to heck, and had every apk I could find downloaded on it. Without going into too much detail I love my iPhone for more of my work related stuff ie. stocks, finances/ emails/ time management, etc. I love my android for the “fun” aspect for things like game emulation (which I also do on iOS), customization to my liking (mostly). For me, i have done a switch which most people called me an idiot for it, i switched from an S23 Ultra to a 14 Pro, now my reason is quite straightforward, first is the camera, now before yall go and reply and say how im wrong, dont, its simply my own experience with the device, now i definitely think the Ultra has better camera but, im mainly gonna stick to iphone because of the shutter speed and overall the warmer color, i find it more pleasing to look at, and in video quality, i tend to prefer the video quality on the 14 pro, in performance though, there is pretty much no visible difference, in games like Roblox, i find the S23 Ultra to stutter more often especially in showcase games that demand high graphics , while the 14 pro remains fairly smooth but it is warmer and i overall prefer the more compact size of the 14 pro, now all these are based on my opinion and experiences with these device

Your case is advantageous for people whose entire circle uses an iPhone. This can be said the other way around as well. By your logic someone can say that he prefers an iphone because in his area everyone is using an iphone or he likes the color of the iphone. Social media integration is the only thing that I agree with for you only in a case where you are someone who posts a lot.

I wish the 15 Pro mac's kept the sim tray. I use both the S24U and the 15. A tray would help with switching. It's not so easy with Esim between the 2 phones. Love the video bro.

In the US, but 80% in the world use android and its different brands. Huawei was killed by the USA by the Google boycott but in China people buy more Huawei then iPhones last year for example. Everything mentioned by the gentleman in the Video, like sending location, can be done with WhatsApp or telegram to anybody without being bound to iPhone. I use a Chinese brand at the mome t because of 120 Watt charging. 19 minutes my phone is fully charged. I am a heavy user. The screen is 6,67 inch large and I have split screen capability and HDMI out. I can do PowerPoint presentations and I have 1 TB Rom. It was cheaper by 60% compared to a beautiful iPhone pro max

Apple has created a smart 'willful fugitive situation'. It's a clever and profitable marketing strategy (I appreciate it as a marketer) but as a user I despise it. I love my freedom more than 'my status'. I know Samsung has tried to lock users in in a similar fashion (proprietary apps) but it is not so 'my way or highway' as with Apple. The only thing I've seen that could theoretically become that kind of 'crutch' is a stylus. If someone depends on the stylus, there really aren't many alternatives out there. Luckily I don't live in the US where in order to communicate with people I'd have to abandon my principles and just follow the crowd. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

All I'm hearing is that you prefer the ecosystem on apple. There is nothing the iPhone can do that the S24 Ultra can not do besides software related things.

I just switched back to a galaxy after basically hating myself for switching to a 13 pro max over a year ago I got the watch the computer basically jumped in with both feet. Granted I don't give a crap about social media, but I went in with some assumptions. Number one being that the iphone would be a virtually bugless seamless experience because they only have to contend with a very limited number of devices. Oh how wrong I was. It was the buggiest crappiest most limiting rigid incompatible device I've had as a phone since a flip phone with a proprietary charger which my 13 pro max also had. And the fact that this device made in this decade can't connect to a PC directly and have to use that stupid ass itunes garbage, and if I'm not using the mac laptop which was collecting dust because no damn games work on that thing then you couldn't even reply to messages on the computer in the year of our lord 2024 no less...
It made me feel like I got suckered into this grandma phone that people get peer pressured into by other people who would buy supreme shirts. I finally threw in the towel this month got rid of it, and it wasn't nostalgia brain. It's just as good as I remember outside of apple hell, a much more refined experience and a supremely more compatible and actually useful device. Now with some AI sprinkles to top it off. Y'all can keep your grandma phones, ok I'm done.

The only thing I own of Apple is the stock. The products are overrated and overpriced tech, but as a share holder iSheep keep on buying and upgrading!

I just found the Galaxy to be way too heavy and large for my pocket. It makes my walking down the street uncomfortable, since it sticks out and is difficult to keep from dropping when i bend to take a seat.

True. I've been using a Note 10 plus since it launched in 2019. It's definitely time for an upgrade and I'm waiting to see what the iphone 16 has in stored or may get iphone 15 PM. I'm looking for a change and not interested in Samsung anymore.

When deep dive in Android world you see more , you only mention what iPhone does which Samsung does but not as good as iPhone or iPhone locked it cos they scared. Social media video can be bypass by recording on phone camera app and upload, do know about dual recording damn iPhone users has been dreaming of since 2020, split screen, edge panel, history on calculator app , setting on individual app so much more and now AI features. My biggest problem with apple is making useless things sound useful, ripping users off and make it sound like they helping them. Dynamic Ireland and action button as an upgrade, no SD card , charger and now Sim tray as saving environment. Then we will pay more to get those things. Before buy 128 g and buy 256 gb SD card for 50 bucks , buy phone get new fast charger etc. Iphone has ruined the phone world. New titanium as an upgrade? How . Durability in titanium is in melting point and high tensile strength which is not required in phone. So no benefit. I believe stainless and aluminum is better for phone. Leave titanium for something useful. Weight 10g we save serious, we can notice 10 g different though I believe that can be battery tech, smaller chop , different camera modules but apple says its the titanium. For Durability use the titanium in the back of the phone and it will be useful. I'm sick of this modern tech. Please let me use my time and go make money lol thanks

All smartphones are easy to use. There are just a lot of features on Androids that are unheard of by iPhone users, which is why they think they're complicated. Some people just want to justify purchasing an overpriced iPhone by saying it's seamless.
