Hi, guys seeing lots of questions about the giveaway. The giveaway ends July 5th and the winner will be announced July 15th :)
Robert Baker I am loving your lessons and as soon as I get an electric guitar I will for sure play all of these riffs
hey robert, i think you should have like a solo or riff contest and then the winner(s) get like a guitar or guitar-related gear. What do you think of it?
James Behnke your fingers will hurt at first. But don't give up. Trust me. You'll get cramps and shit but after a day or two if you play for like 4 hours then it's fun.
Danny UltraWiz As a sort of constructive criticism, that's a bad idea. How could beginners hope to win? The obvious answer is by practicing, but it isn't that simple. Guitarists who have years of experience could easily outplay a beginner in pretty much every way. Wow, this is a long reply.
Robert Baker Hi! could you tell me how much that guitar costs? i want one really bad! thanks!
I can't believe how much fun I'm having. I just decided to learn to play at 57 and this is such a great gift you have left for us. These songs are my childhood and these are all relatable songs. I just lucked out and found a guy with a PANTERA shirt on who is a great teacher given he is well above this level. Thank you Robert. I learned this yesterday and picked up the guitar and played better today. I SUCK and that's okay because every once in a while it sounds like music.
I'm with ya. Started at 52. Going to learn as much as I can watching guitar slayers like this. Their easy stuff lol. Then seek some lessons. I find stuff like this to play around with. Then I pick out one song and try to master it. Watching Mr Bakers videos are informative and interesting. Wish I had his skills. Oh and hair. Lol
How many Zombies do I have to kill in Call of Duty to unlock this camouflage?
Borat like USA its dlc
When you're not that great at first so you buy a really "cool" guitar. People probably look at him like "oh wow, a custom paint job, you don't get a guitar like that if you're an average player. Who knew that Beth's grandson was so good at the guitar!?"
1.7 million
@@oh_look_bananas wrong
What a douch 🤔
This is probably really boring for him to play, but he just showed a lot of beginners how to play something. That makes it a lot more fun than playing scales for an hour. Well done.
Nothing like power chords for a great starting point for beginners.
Thanks, Rob. This is just great! You are definitely one of the very best tutors on TH-cam!
Yaassss... Give me more beginner stuff. I need more beginner stuff because I suuuuck.
ThaBadayuss lol same.
YOU SUCK BRO!!!!!!
me too
That’s the spirit
I'd just their my guitar away, you'll get no where in life trying to be like this guy.
Subscribed....you bring back the good times of the 80's music and I'm having a great time playing what little I can for fun.....thanks
Ok!!!
This is exactly what I’m looking for....

This video was awesome!! Do a part two please!!!??!!
Thanks for this video it's helped me out big time can you please do more poison covers?
That paint job is awesome
I’m super new and have a tone question. What settings do I have to set on my amp to get that sound?
38 Special riff was the first power chord song I ever learned. I play all mine with my pinky too.
I'm at the beginning of my guitar playing journey and have trouble making the power chord shape because of the spread. Can you reco.end any finger exercises to help me play power chords?
Rock on bro!You got skills
Saw the live stream nice jamin man
great info , and niiiiiiice axe !
great vid!
Yes,yes more of these
thanks bro!!!
Do I need a pedal for this? I am using a les Paul but mainly a Gretsch G6120 Eddie Cochran Signature
Can you do a lesson on how to improve ones right hand timing and precision? I'm asking because I'm a huge fan of the 80s and back then it seemed like rhythm playing was at its pinnacle. For a while I've struggled with the fast "gallop" type strumming ( George Lynch was famous for this..) any tips on how to improve and how to come up with more intricate guitar riffs reminicent of the 80s style of riffing?
Smells like teen spirit
Fun fact, teen spirit is a deodorant :)
God damn power chords are so much fun 🤘
Question... do you have the distortion turned on in your amplifier?
Love the top
Powah!
I use my pinkie finger on power chords because while I tried it with index finger I just couldn't do it, my second and third finger just can't stay in the right shape for it. Is it worth practicing that way or carry on.with the pinkie finger and managing to play better?
Robert, where'd you get that chair... With the arm that raises up out of the way?
Ok thanks, i am try it
Robert Baker! very kool
Cool I'm learning
Could you go through the entire 38 special tune ?
Awsom video power chords rule!!
i just subscribed great channel
Happy 4th of July Robert!!!! As well as everyone whose subbed!!!🍺🍺🍺🍺💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💣
Mr. Baker thank you
Sick charvel! I’m waiting on a So Cal right now. I’m on the east coast though so it might take a bit lol.
Did you ever get it?
I have digital mustang fender amp its preprogrammed with settings but I cannot find a setting that sounds like yours.
Nice tones coming from your Charvel , I own a Jackson now ,they are from the same Co. , do make sound quality rock guitars
Just the intro... fuck yes. SUBBED!
Thank you
you know it power chords baby, i am one of those melancholic fools, subscribed
I dig that Charvelle. How long have you had it? I noticed the switch had the end piece missing. No matter. I like the sound of it and you seem to like the feel of it.
that guitar looks so small i love it
great video btw
nice, digging it! can we find a track with some nonstop riffs for a few minutes too? 😀
love Scorpions! UKULELE ATLANTA HOLLY Rick you sound good!
muito bom para iniciantes parabéns se possível coloque os desenhos explicando as casas e cordas
Are these played through a pedal or straight through the amp? Distortion?
How do u get ur guitar to sound like that , do I have to have certain gear or what?
BAM! No time to skip to.😂
Proven. By. Science.
Cool shit bro
More then a feeling sounds so much like smells like teen spirit 😂 i just had to say it , I know Kurt always got pissed when he was called out for this but now that I’m playing guitar again I’ve noticed tons of songs that are so much alike , so I still say that it’s like when we as people think we came up with a good idea or even an invention, it’s just either a coincidence or in the case of music we just get inspired sometimes without even knowing at the time so it’s not copying imo unless you literally copy someone on purpose in hopes to profit off others work
Like Ur technics
Really loving that hot lava guitar dude.
Rick Smith her name is Roxanne.
did you announce the giveaway winners yet Rob sorry if it posted twice I didn't see my last post come up
What's the settings in Amp & processor for power chords,??????
Your feakin awesome
Dang man you're still up it's way past my bed time
Are there tabs for these riffs?
You hair is Winter Fire 🔥

Using the pinky for you power cords, made me fee lweak
Seriously thooo I use my ring finger lol
can someone tell me what pedal he could be using?
i love that charvel
Nice stuff🔥🔥, thanks💯, but I couldn't lay my hand on the tabs, it kept saying, it's been deleted. Your assistance is kindly needed
Where are the tabs for this lesson?
That's a mean look'n amplifier youv'e got behind you, HAL straight out of the box.
I love. power. cords
I love. your. spelling
damn he is so bad ass on the guitar . Who won the giveaway Rob ??
giveaway was extended by a day, winner will be announced next week
For Hold on Loosely, you should know that the chord after E5, where you're first finger drops, is a B chord with the 3rd in the bass. Similarly, the chord after D5, where your first finger drops is an A chord with the 3rd in the bass. Useful to learn a bit of chord theory when you're learning that one, so you know what you're doing.
What do you call this technic? 02:26 If i try this its sounds crap 😑
His window will get us to the riffs and lesson..... good to know
happy 4th of july home slice
Why are all these "perfect for beginners" and "easy guitar lessons" actually really fucking difficult? If I've been trying to learn guitar for 3 and a half years and not even learned half a song yet, should I be giving up by now? I can only assume I just haven't got the ability or something would be starting to gel by now?
Superstu8875 Because they are difficult. Ive just started playing 2 weeks ago but if i can learn these then im sure you can too
Raptor G kinda proves my point - you say they’re difficult but you’ve learnt them in 2 weeks, I’m 3 and a half years down the line and still struggling with the same songs.!
@@Superstu8875 Just practice. Its all muscle memory for me
I tried to learn on my own and struggled big time and gave up. Fast forward a good few years and got a teacher, been learning 6 months now and can play more and more. Passed my Grade 1 with distinction in December and learning my Grade 2 stuff now. Good luck @@Superstu8875
Dude..... Shred Wars with Jared Dines!!!
I'll have to get these mastered. don't know why but the Zoo didn't sound quite right
One cool sounding song that's fairly easy is The Wicker Man by Iron Maiden.
