Jinjer - various songs, but I guess if I have to pick one, then Pisces same for Mastodon, but I'll pick Mother Puncher Coheed and Cambria - Gravity's Union (although technically it was recorded on an 8 string, it's easily done in Drop A bc A is the lowest note used.) I'm really glad A For Andrew was on here, love seeing Attack Attack riffs featured. Andrew Whiting is one hell of a player. A For Andrew is an absolute BANGER.
My favourite drop A riff will probably be reincarnate by Motionless in White, partly because it was the first riff I ever knowingly heard in that tuning. Technically it's more the drop d of 7 string as your tuning the lowest string down a whole step from standard tuning and nothing else; whereas there is extra step whole with drop c.
had that Thy Art riff stuck in my head all day today, played that one riff over and over for 10 minutes on my guitar to get my fix after work just to find it here 😂

Drop A is to deathcore what Drop C is to metalcore.
Well said.
Honestly drop c outside of metalcore is super slept on it’s a fun ass tuning

bruh i keep my 6 string in drop a#.. on a 24.75 scale length
I feel like Drop G is closer to being the Drop C of 7-strings because they both involve tuning a whole step down and then drop-tuning. Great content!
Purely technically correct but in usage I would say that Drop A still wins out.
It is not, delete this

Drop-A is stupidly fun on a 7. As a bonus, it also makes epic clean passages due to barre chords making sense again.
This is so awesome. *furiously jotting down riffs to learn*
I JUST picked up my 24 3/4 scale 6-string harley benton from the luthier's, had 17-74 strings installed for a drop A tuning
what a timely video lol
the most cursed guitar setup I've heard in my life, killer guitar tho
That's pure torture...
On same scale and tuning I used 14-80
17-74?! Your poor fingers! That poor neck!
17-74? Did you have to dismantle a suspension bridge for those cable strings? Did the luthier use a chainsaw to cut the slots for the nut?

The Acacia Strain riff gave me a mosh pit ‘nam flashback 😳

The main riff to Sp Lit by Chimaira is a dope ass riff
Most songs shown have at least 3-4 high strings untouched. ;) Always remember kids, 6 string guitars can be re strung and drop tuned!
