@@danagray9709 referring to the haptic feedback feature that has been popularized in smartphones. Apple currently has the gold standard with their organic feeling clicks taps and vibrational feedback the iphones provide. Samsung is high on the ladder up there with (certain , it's inconsistent year by year) other android phone manufacturers. Bad haptics tend to feel like flicking a tin can and they sound like a buzzing insect, which is typically considered terrible. I hope that clears it up somewhat

My experience with the pixel 6 has been fantastic! I never had the battery issues some people mentioned, I have yet to kill it in a day. I haven't had any issues with the bugs some people had, the one thing that was a letdown has been the fingerprint scanner because it's a bit slow, but I haven't had as many issues with it as some people talked about. The camera is amazing! The performance has been fine, I haven't ever been left wishing for a more powerful chip. I love the screen too!

My Pixel 3, that I really loved, died the other day. I had had it for years and hadn't been planning on upgrading any time soon. I hadn't done any research, but when I saw the Pixel 6 at the store I bought it because of how much I liked my Pixel 3. I've had a p6 pro since january now and I am a huge fan. As my first pixel I am very impressed, especially on the software side. I find that it tends to lack on the hardware side though unfortunately. There are a few prevalent hardware problems with this device, but the two that have given me the most trouble have by far been the battery life and temperature. Living in texas, most of the year the weather tends to lean from hot to very hot. Living in a hotter climate absolutely affects the performance of the pixel, especially on top of the fact that they already have a known track record for overheating. This overheating issue in addition to the already hot climate can lead to many huge issues, ranging from performance to battery life, to even charging times. When the phone overheats, the framerate might tend to randomly dip. The battery tends to drain faster. And trying to charge the phone while overheating will result in increasingly slower charging rates. That is, if you even manage to get the battery percentage to go up at all.
Because of this, if you live in a warmer part of the world and are considering getting a pixel 6 or 6 pro, it might be worth your time doing a bit more research on these problems. To me, everything else about the phone makes up for this problem. But that isn't to say I've been left very inconvenienced and without a charge many times in the last few months, especially now that it's getting hotter outside.

Nice experience video. I use a Pixel 4 so orange (the small European version) and wanted a new SmartPhone. In the Pixel 4 the speaker is defective. I decided to go back to a Pixel 4 XL of the last series. I was surprised by the brighter display, better sound when making calls. So Google has also minimally improved the hardware in the years. In addition, the following videos led to my decision "Pixel 4 XL vs Pixel 6 Pro in 2022! Don't...." und "Pixel 4 XL vs Pixel 6 speed comparison! Snapdragon 855 vs Tensor chip! Who will win?"
After these videos, apart from the fact that the Pixel 4 XL is really nicer in white (imho), my decision was made. For $300, there's nothing better. And I don't have to deal with possible bugs.

For me the best thing about the pixel 4 lineup is the face recognition that is soo much better than the finger print sensor found in the pixel 6 lineup, and the snap 855 is still powerfully enough for every day use. The only down size for the 4 and 4xl is the battery life which is horrendous for normal version and acceptable for the xl version.

Had the same issues you described. After the merch update some of it went away. A also joined the android L beta (12.1). It is basically a beta version of Android which is designed to maximize performance in large devices. Regarding the battery, give it some time for the adaptive battery to kick in. Mine was terrible, lasting 2 hours of screen time. After the update + waiting a couple of weeks I am getting 6 - 7 hours on one charge. I almost never need to charge it more than once a day. About the wifi problem, try changing the "mobile data always active" setting in the developers settings.
Overall it is a great phone, it started bad for me but now it is great and I am enjoying it a lot.

The 6 has connection issues, its very known.
My 6 broke after like 6 months and couldn't get any signal and had to be RMA'd.
IMO, its a hardware fault that they're trying to fix with software.
The 6 is basically full blown Alpha mode (not even Beta) with how broken it is.
Some people don't exp issues and are like; "I love my phone", but at the end of the day its bad QC, some are great, some are garbage, but ultimately it just has a weaker signal issue and bad hardware.
Pixels in-general have been basket cases since the 3, all have hardware or software flaws.

The Pixel 5's form factor and design is far more superior, her me out...
    - The size and the rounded corners are much more ergonomic
    - It has thinner and symmetrical bezels all around
    - It's not a fragile glass sandwich
But like the Pixel 6 It's also sadly missing a headphone jack and expandable storage. :(

I´ve had the Pixel 6 for 6 months, but the fact that i live in Mexico and I don't have all of the Google features enabled, makes it hard to recommend. This is one of the buggiest phones i've ever had (I previously owned a pixel 4a), so even though it's a great price-value phone, I don´t know if i would recommend it to someone outside the US/Europe.

See, I don't really think that reviews should be finalized after just 6 months of the device being out. I feel like this device is just finally beginning to hit its stride. Google really should have just delayed the launch until about the March update. That's when the device finally started feeling like where it should have been from the start. Most people are more interested in how a device age is rather than whatever the new device comes out.

  • @592Johno

Absolutely love mine, it's been near flawless for me since day one. No Bluetooth issues, signal issues, no droped calls, battery is phenomenal at 10 hours average. I charge once a day or the morning of the other day. 90hz is very smooth and I'm well used to it and can't use a 60hz by choice anymore. The camera is chefs kiss, love Google's processing. I will say I miss a telephoto lens though the pro didn't justify the gap for me. Haptics are top tier, speakers are great but not the best, it doesn't sound tinny when the volume is cranked so that's a point for me. Display is good but leaves a bit to be desired tbh. I wish the bezels were a bit smaller and screen was a smidge brighter too. Auto brightness is really disappointing tho.
Pixel 6 speech to text is unmatched although it doesn't get it 100% due to our accent but it's really impressive.
My main issue with this phone is HEAT. In a tropical country like mine this phone gets hot very quickly and cools down very slowly. It's constantly lingering in the 40°C territory even when I'm not doing anything much.

@@HitarthKakkad camera has generally been great. In terms of portrait, I would say the edge detection is really great during daylight conditions, but it can suffer a bit during night or dim light conditions but not too much compared to iPhone or Samsung.
I also noticed lens flare when you point your lens directly at a source of light example, a light bulb , which is not an issue with iPhones or Samsungs.
Video quality is greatly improved but iPhone is still the video king.

It's an ok phone. I am using the Pixel 6 Pro as my back up to my 13 Pro Max on my deployment. First thing I noticed was that the battery life was not even as close as the iphone, so it was a shock after being used to multi-day battery freedom. The phone itself looks gorgeous and so does the display but the constant dimming of the screen is annoying. Also the Bluetooth is definitely an issue, since it keeps disconnecting or instead of instantly connecting I have to go in and connect my device. Don't get me started on the fingerprint scanner 🙄 I noticed in direct sunlight it seems to have an issue with reading my thumb. The rest of the phone is... Just another Android phone, nothing great nothing bad 🤷🏾‍♂️
