The last one expand the object and use pathfinder trim to cut all Then use same color fill and delete white areas all done! Rather than selecting one by one. Great useful video 👍
I found your channel through Instagram just a day or two ago, but I am learning so much already. Can't afford your course yet unfortunately, but as soon as I manage I will because it's absolutely brilliant how you explain things. The knowledge you have is amazing, thank you for sharing it with us, people who have no idea but want to learn so bad!
Thanks Dansky for another great video to improve our logo creation skills. As a beginner, still trying to understand the concept of shapes and strokes and how and when to unite them so that the shapes/strokes don't turn into one solid shape. If you have a video on that, please let me know.
Good stuff! Just implemented all these rules today. Cleaning it up is key, but don’t forget to save an edible file separately in case you do need to make additional edits. 😀
@@ForeverDansky it is ! but for cleaning the logo i'd rather use expand, then the pathfinder division, select a black shape > selection > same > color background, and merge it, then command X, and command V.
I love the shirt you have. Can you consider doing a tutorial on making theme art series or logos to be converted into shirts? Like what colors to use, the best area coverage, front or back or both? Frames or blend-ins? etc.
I haven’t done a lot of design specifically for clothing to be honest. Definitely something I’d love to explore more in future though! Charley Pangus has a great channel where he does a lot of clothing-related design 👍
@@dienerdesbarmherzigen8780 is it that weird to say 'thank god, this video is just what i needed. thanks bro, i'm a better designer already'? he's just saying it in a way different from what you're used to
Instead of the shape builder tool to clean up the cup, after expanding, I use Merge in the pathfinder. It separates all the black and white in one fell swoop while keeping everything looking the same as before. Then I magic wand the black and lock it all down. Then with the group selection tool select all the unlocked elements (which should be white and clear) and delete.
Great video. We are a company that does a lot of signage work though we are not one. So files are sent but we are at times "cleaning up" their files with deleting clipping masks etc. The sign companies that send are so lazy, why must they be like that?
It's great. It would be great if you share some tricks for photoshop. You created that vampire diaries poster. If you could include that one it would be pretty great.
nice vid, I have to say though, that Pronto logo! One of my pet hates in logo design is replacing one of the letters of the brand name with a brand mark.IMO they never look good. Anyway great work.
11:15 It still looks bolder on the black background. Shouldn´t you make the black one bolder or the white one thiner, appart from that kerning ajustment?
As someone who also works with vinyl for car wrapping for example: YES, PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR DESIGNS! Also please don't use strokes but turn everything into shapes because my plotter will not do that correctly unless i fix Y'alls designs.
Theres nobody who produce such effective yet still entertaining tutorials like you. Youre true legend, Dansky! Thank you for you work!
I appreciate that! Thank you so much 😃

Mr. D - have you ever considered doing something on the Substance suite? I know there's stuff out there already but you da man.
Alhamdulillah very informative brother. Feeling me a better designer than 10 minuites before. Thanks
Weird comment. First you thank Allah, than you call him a brother. Is he a Muslim?

شكرا لك يا صديقي استفدت منك كثيرا

Thanks!
thanks so much for all of your vids. love it so much, but I wanna know how to really start freelancing without work experience?
You’re welcome! We’ll be doing a livestream soon dedicated to discussing everything related to freelance design 👍

For white, select all, expand, select a white, select similar colors and it will select all white faster
I was hoping you'd say "this video is sponsored by squarespace, perfeect for Squares" 😂😂😂
please tell us how can you invert the logo onto another color background
I’ve a Question regarding rule of 3rds. I’ve seen a tutorial, that align: the logo and text, much quicker. Under one of the pathfinder settings in AI…

The first comment
why would you use character tracking instead of properly kerning the letters?
