What is your mixer on mineral & silicone? And what kind did you use maybe show a picture of it.😊

Thanks for the inquiry.... any brand of silicone caulking will work as long as it is 100% "silicone" and clear. The mixture is basically 50/50, basically, you want the workable solution to be the consistency of honey. Any major brand of Mineral Spirits will work. Always TEST your solution first!

Thank you! I wish I saw this before I went camping with this tent! Went camping in Mid June, and It was cold at night, very noticeable. It was because of that large gap between the rain fly and tent.
Did you find any other solution for that? Besides throwing other rain flys in between.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it can be quite drafty and chilly because of the very large screen roof and the fly being so far above the tent. I just returned from a week of camping in the North Central mountains of PA, it was a chilly week with the nights down in the low 40's and one of the days the high was 58! I have found a few things have helped keeping the tent warm... #1 - I cover the entire floor with 2x2 interlocking floor tiles (Harbor Freight), this takes time and effort but really pays off; #2 - I put Velcro strips across the top of the window fly's, this cuts way down on the draft; #3 - I purchased (Amazon) inexpensive fabric shower curtains which I put on top of the tent roof. I cut a slit in the shower curtain to go around the roof loops that attach to the frame. I also put some grommets around the edges of the shower curtains so that i can use small caribiner's to attach the shower curtain at various points around the tent. This worked out extremely well. #4 - I use a Little Buddy heater. This past week every morning it was around 44 to 38 in side my tent at 5:30AM, I lit my Little Buddy heater and set it on low.... within 15 minutes it was 78 inside and I would open a small section or two of a window fly to balance the temp. I always set my tent up when i return home and let it completely dry out for a couple days, if i have the time I will make a short video demonstrating the shower curtain application.

How much acrylic and mineral spirits did you use? Nice video!

100% clear SILICONE... not acrylic! 100% clear silicone mixed 50/50 with mineral spirits. I used approximately 2 to 3 caulking tubes of silicone. Mix well, in small batches as it will cure fairly quick and becomes too thick to apply.

    EXCELLENT VIDEO...
I am so sorry YOU had to modify this (expensive) Ozark Trail Cabin Tent.
Just like the door... Why would they design it where it slopes inward and the RAIN comes off the top right INSIDE... That is stupid to make a door like that... Not impressed at all.
Then YOU have to spend more time and money to SEAL everything ...
Did this Tent Company do anything right???
Thank YOU so much for showing this great video...
I have made up my mind NOT to buy this tent... Do NOT like the Front Door/waterway.. LOL

This isn’t an expensive tent. Expensive tents come with rain flys and sealed seams. No way I would take this if there was any chance of rail.

I wouldn't "don't buy"... just realize "what" you are buying. I found that 'every' tent I have ever owned had drawbacks and needed some work... I have never owned a tent that didn't need waterproofed and seam sealed before use.
