Yes, and for awhile we were actually considering living in a tent on our off grid land temporarily while we constructed a tiny home. This camping trip helped us realize that we could live in a tent comfortably for a period of time if need be.
And your point is? As someone with decades camping experience, this is a Basecamp set up and that is a form of camping. There are many types, according to your needs and desires.

Hi there! And thank you! This campground had hot showers for us to use. But when we camp at campgrounds without showers, we bring our camp shower, and hang it in the bathroom. I think this tent would work well for an electric wheel chair , but you’d have to be cautious going over the areas on the floor that are slightly raised where the kitchen and main area is divided.
Yes, you are right about that. I just bought the cheapest Walmart AC I could find. Also, the fact that it's only used for the occasional vacation, rather than daily, should help it to last for a while despite the fact that it gets worked pretty hard during these trips. I'm definitely glad we had it, it was so much more comfortable.
This looks homey! Can you tell us how long did you set up this tent? (I might have missed it if you mentioned it here already) I'm thinking this is a good idea for our farm. Love it, thanks for sharing your video. 🥰
It only takes us 20 minutes to assemble this tent now. The poles are all color coded well, so it’s really straight forward. We really enjoy all the space, it’s our portable vacation home😆 I think you’ll love it! The first time you set it up, it may take closer to 40 minutes, but after that it won’t take nearly as long.
Absolutely great video.. have me wishing I was in there.. well as you know it's out of stock on Walmart the only thing is that it doesn't say the exact description of the tent on Walmart since it is out of stock I was wondering if you could please put down exactly what kind of tent that it actually is I mean I know it's from Ozark but maybe I can find it on Amazon if I knew exactly what I was looking for or on Temu or somewhere else..Ty

I used magnetic hooks to secure the curtain rods. I also used these hooks to hang the bathroom mirror. I linked the hooks that I used in the description box. They work great!
@@sonyamaxwell9825 sure! They were just cheap Walmart rods, but they are light weight which is necessary with these magnetic hooks that can’t support a ton of weight. On that note, make sure you use curtains that aren’t too heavy. Here’s the link, www.walmart.com/ip/42489119
Hi there, a king would fit, but then you wouldn’t be able to walk inside. You’d have to crawl on the bed to access your closet. I had a queen, and it allowed for just enough room to walk around. I’m hoping they’ll get back in stock, but it’s been so long now, it might be discontinued.
Hi there! I bought it from Walmart.com. Unfortunately, I think it’s still out of stock at the moment, but it’s usually back in stock closer to spring. 😊
Yes, we brought all of this from Georgia to Utah in a trailer. We stayed there for nearly 3 weeks, and it was well worth it! The only hotels available were 549$ plus tax for 1 double occupancy room each night! Which I cannot afford. The lodging at this campground was only 36$ per night. I’ve been wanting to go to Zion National Park for years, and this camping set up finally allowed me to afford to go, and still be comfortable.
@@jessyg6425 , hi there! The campground had power at each site. I bought a 30 amp to 110v distribution adapter from Amazon, which allowed me to use as many heavy duty extension cords as I needed.
We were going to use the camp shower in the tent bathroom , (the solar bag with the pump). But since the campground had such nice showers, we just used those instead.
@@jwilson7689 . My family and I were camping near Zion National Park for almost 3 weeks. We camp in many different ways, but this particular trip we went all out for several personal reasons. The point was to make sure we were all just as comfortable as we would have been if we’d stayed at an AirBNB, which is what we used to do. Aside from comfort, the objective was to stay in budget, which we were also able to accomplish with this setup.
It was pretty difficult to fit it all back into one bag, so we bought a separate duffel bag to store all the poles. This actually works better anyway because now each bag isn’t as heavy .

@@missmajor5640 , we chose to use the showers at the campground instead. But this tent does have drainage mesh on the bathroom floor, and a hook to hang a camp shower if you chose to shower inside the tent.
@@Pozoe12 , I have a camper at this point, at that time I didn’t want one. I still alternate between tent, RV, and car camping. I do whatever pleases me at the time, and depending on which national park I’m visiting, and how long I plan to stay.
Regardless of what we choose to call it, the goal was to have a comfortable and affordable place to live for over 2 weeks so that my family and I could enjoy visiting Zion National Park. And this tent helped us do that. Glamping, camping, temporary housing, whatever you want to call it. It gave us what we needed , and we were happy, that’s what matters.
I’m sorry but I agree with most comments this isn’t camping nah it’s more like living inside a tent outside haha 🤣 if your going to need all that inside a tent then don’t go camping stay home or hahah in your case your backyard wow back in the days camping was actual camping
@@RainbowMama-x3n , you are certainly entitled to your opinion, I respect that. But no, I wasn’t going to just stay home. The entire goal of this is to not stay home! The whole point of this was to facilitate being able to visit Zion National Park, while still feeling as comfortable as WE wanted to be. Remember, everyone has to do whatever is comfortable for them. Different strokes for different folks. My family and I had wanted to go to Zion for awhile, but I could not reasonably spend upwards of 349$ per night for lodging. We used to spend thousands of dollars per week staying in expensive AirBNB for vacation, but we are not in a position to do that anymore, but we still want to enjoy vacations, and this tent made it affordable & financially responsible for us to do so, as the campground was only 30$ per night. The objective isn’t to camp, the objective is to vacation in an affordable yet comfortable way to our standards.

@@jwilson7689 Crap? Our belongings are not crap . No need for ugliness. I’m all about kindness and positivity, and I’ve done nothing to harm you. Yes, we brought our belongings with us in our trailer. We wanted to be comfortable at a fraction of the cost of traditional lodging. And some things were necessary such as AC due to the heatwave the area was under during that time. In addition my diabetic daughter requires refrigeration for her insulin, if you must know. And it’s something my kids wanted to do. They were excited to have fun making the tent into a little vacation cottage. Now that they’re both young adults and out of college. These long family trips will likely become fewer and farther between, so yes, I was more than happy to oblige them. We all had a great time, and will have memories that will last a lifetime. So dragging all that crap out to the desert was well worth it for us.
My husband and I have been glamping long before the word was created. We tent camp off peak in typically colder damp conditions in the state and national parks in mostly the mountains. We stay at the least amenity, non tourist style family campgrounds in the woods. Having comforts of home, a coffee press, a camp toilet, stove etc is what makes our week to 3 week camping trips that much more enjoyable. After hiking up and down a mountain getting soaked in an unexpected thunderstorm , wet and dirty it's nice to be able to come back to camp, dry off with a clean towel , warm up with dry clothes, make a cup of hot coffee or pour a glass of wine and cozy up in our camp chairs by the roaring fire. We chop our own wood we gather from fallen trees that we haul back to camp, cook our meals over the open fire, usually with the forested park to ourselves, then go to bed in our cozy airbed or camp cot.... and no bodies gonna tell me that's not camping. I've got the callouses , bug bites and blisters to prove it.
As you say that, I had a deer lay down on me one night in a tent. We had a dog and she didn't object too much about it, so I knew I wasn't in danger. The deer there were all too familiar with people. You could feed them.

@@GLITTERandSKULLZ , I disagree. I’ve been in a campground where my gear wasn’t stolen while I was out, but other tents without locks had their gear stolen. Hi there, this was at a campground that had electricity available. But when we camp off- grid we use solar panels to keep our GRECELL power boxes charged, these power boxes keep our phones, tv, small electronics powered. That is huge.! It must take a long time to set up & take down.. I’d have to go for a good period of time. Awesome setup though!
Thank you, the initial set up with just my son and I took about an hour, but subsequent setups, especially if all 4 of us work together, only takes about 30 minutes. But the furnishings do take a couple of hours. But we only furnish it like this for trips lasting about 3 weeks or more, for short trips we keep it very minimal.
Great Video, I hope Walmart restocks the tent soon
Me too!
Yea I’m definitely considering.. but also considering on buying an RPK. The choices.. the choices.. I think I’ll get the tent later. I have a house still… 😂
This is not camping anymore. It's living in a tent, period.
Yes, and for awhile we were actually considering living in a tent on our off grid land temporarily while we constructed a tiny home. This camping trip helped us realize that we could live in a tent comfortably for a period of time if need be.
That’s what I’m doing I live in a tent in my parents back yard lmao

I had thought about this but with no insulation so any heater or AC would have to work over time
Yes, you are right about that.

Excellent setup! How long did it take to set up from start to finish?
Thank you!! Setting the tent was about 30 minutes, then adding all the furnishings about another 2 hours, so under 3 hours for everything. That’s how long it took with all 4 of us working together, so it may take longer with less people .
Amazing setup love it.

I was at Sand Hollow State Park in Utah, it has full electricity at each site.
Wow, hat a setup! Mary, do you think that all of the items you have listed would fit into a 5x8 enclosed trailer (like a Uhaul)?

Hi there, a king would fit, but then you wouldn’t be able to walk inside. You’d have to crawl on the bed to access your closet. I had a queen, and it allowed for just enough room to walk around. I’m hoping they’ll get back in stock, but it’s been so long now, it might be discontinued.

@@naturegirl5681 I know, it’s unfortunate. I’d hoped that Walmart would get it back in stock by now, but no such luck.
What are you doing? Is this how you camp? Or is this where you live?
@@jwilson7689 . My family and I were camping near Zion National Park for almost 3 weeks. We camp in many different ways, but this particular trip we went all out for several personal reasons. The point was to make sure we were all just as comfortable as we would have been if we’d stayed at an AirBNB, which is what we used to do. Aside from comfort, the objective was to stay in budget, which we were also able to accomplish with this setup.
how is folding it back together?
It was pretty difficult to fit it all back into one bag, so we bought a separate duffel bag to store all the poles. This actually works better anyway because now each bag isn’t as heavy .

Regardless of what we choose to call it, the goal was to have a comfortable and affordable place to live for over 2 weeks so that my family and I could enjoy visiting Zion National Park.

Did you bring a semi worth of crap to the desert?
If you need that much stuff to camp then why bother camping
Because it makes my family and I happy and comfortable, for a price we can afford.
Because they want and they can
My husband and I have been glamping long before the word was created.

Hi there, this was at a campground that had electricity available. But when we camp off- grid we use solar panels to keep our GRECELL power boxes charged, these power boxes keep our phones, tv, small electronics powered. Then we have a 4500 watt Champion generator if we need to power the refrigerator, AC, and microwave. The generator alone could power everything in the tent on it’s own easily, but we try to minimize generator use.
