    Understandable that it's an easy up tent, but DAMN dude it's alot of tent for one person to put up. You get the utmost respect for that.

      Takes a little practice! First time is the hardest. Then as you keep do it, you become more efficient.

    Thank you! I have 4 little kids between the ages of 1-6. Seeing someone set this up alone has given me the confidence to buy one (knowing that I will be setting it up or taking it down alone at some point in every camping trip while my husband corals the kids).

  • @talk2nate

    If you're like me the kids run away to go check things out, while dad has to pitch the tent! So I'm glad to see its doable alone! Thanks for the review and tips!

    • @paul_schuette
      @paul_schuette 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ticklefritz7957 It’s worked out great! It’s huge, so it’s nice having the extra room for oversized cots, etc. It’s not the easiest tent to fully put up and take down (definitely helpful to have another person to help), but I would imagine any tent this size would be a bit of a chore. The zippers and things don’t seem super high quality (like you would get in a premium brand tent), but it’s perfectly acceptable for the price point and have given us no issues so far.

    I bought this tent. It sets up pretty easy. With 4 people it took us 15 min. Taking it down was a nightmare and 2 of the poles broke. Super easy for the poles to get twisted the wrong way in the hub! This is much better video then the company produces! I wish your audio was better. Super solid nice tent once it's up! The main thing I dont like about it is that the middle room has no door to the outside,which means they have to walk through one of the the other 2 rooms to get in or out. Makes for bad bathroom trips in the night for the middle room campers. I would never buy this tent again!

    Now here I was soo excited to see how you got it back in the bag. Hahaha, we have this model tent and couldn't figure out how to put it back. We love this tent. I was actually looking for ideas on turning the awning into a screen room when I found your video. Ours is about 10-15 years old, we got it 2nd hand, had it about 6 years now and it is still amazing. We are not gentle with our stuff. Our bag zipper corroded over long ago and one thing led to another- we no longer have the bag. We just use spare rope to bundle it for transport and storage. Fit our family of 6 quite comfortably. Now we are 5 and soon will be 4. Kids grow up so fast. When this one finally bites the dust we plan to get another if we can't afford a small tow behind camper. Either way, I will never again in my life fight with tent poles.

    It seems like at 5:10 would have been the perfect time to start putting on the rain guard. It is still low enough to be easy, and it may even give the frame a little more rigidity to complete the extension of the legs. 🤷 Great video! Best on setting up this awesome tent on TH-cam! 😁👍

    • @mypersonalreviewsopinion1762
      @mypersonalreviewsopinion1762  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Rain guard is easy to put on once you have it up. It could get in the way trying to both raise and attach rain guard.

    Thanks for the video. It helped me strike mine. I left the hooks on and had no problem. I even fit it back in the bag. I may get ratchet straps to help next time.
    I live in the desert and we have hard clay so I had to get steel nail type stakes with the plastic top. Got them from Walmart. Worked like a charm.

    Respect sir, and greetings from South Africa ! I'm considering selling my caravan and tent, and getting a panel van and this tent instead - I usually camp solo for 4 to 6 weeks of fishing. Your video put me at ease about the solo setting up part. I guess I can add that it may be a good idea to first lay down a solid tarp as a ground sheet, underneath the tent. Here in SA, at the coast where I usually camp, we have a lot of wind - I normally throw a cargo net over my caravan tent before I put the guy ropes, then peg the cargo net down as well as the tent - never had any storm shake my tent - I suspect that method will also be quite secure for this tent.

    Thank you for this video. It was incredibly helpful. Even the struggles were helpful to me as I was able to see that myself & my 7 y/o son could set this up ourselves! Our big tent was destroyed when a tornado thst wasn't on the weather radar came through Ft.Loramie, Ohio last summer. I'm looking at replacing our other tent with this one.
    P.s. it was also helpful to see you in it. You look pretty tall & you were standing up fine inside.
    Thanks for the great demonstration!
    God bless.

    Great video! I am considering this tent to take the grandkids out for some summer fun. Are there any buttons in the top corners to hang the gear nets or attics up? Kids means 'stuff' and I am not a fan of their stuff scattered around the floor. You can buy the net things fairly cheaply if there is a spot to hang them. Also, some of the nets have lamp loops in the center. Anyway, doing the setup and the walk through is perfect and I appreciate it! Thanks

    I have two broken elbows, ( covered by the pads, as the internal bolts snapped by the wind, and one elbow has part of the plastic missing but it still works. I need some replacements but not sure where
    to find them. Pretty sure Walmart or Amazon don't carry those. They likely need to be on a special order.
    Gotta watch those open fields because wind over 40 MPH will wreck that tent.

    You could get bunk cots and set up two sets of bunks in each room . You'd have a bunk for each person and room to spare. You might want to put adults on the bottom bunks and light people on the top bunks.

    I found this too late!! There should be a link on the instructions to your video. The written instructions are not good! It wasn't clear that those two orange buttons on the top MUST be extented before even the legs. We didn't and finally had to take it all down and start over. The 5 minuteset-up went to an hour of frustration! We will watch this again just before taking down!😊

      i use a large cargo net (the kind you put on a swimming pool), just throw the whole thing over the tent before you set the guy ropes, then peg it down as well. Trust me, your tent, including the awning corner part, will stand like the Rock of Gibraltar, for anything short of a tornado.

    15:40 Also the 12 person claim on the tent is for 12 grown ups sleeping on the ground in sleeping bags with maybe a personal inflatable sleeping mattress under them. That's how you could fit 4 people in each cell...... Or a bunk bed 😂 (double stacked Cots)

  • @heroofharo
    @heroofharo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The tent capacity ratings are always based on people in sleeping bags, which obviously by the time you're old enough to afford or justify a $200+ tent, you're probably not in the mood to sleep on the ground in a sleeping bag lol.
