I share waves with my friends all the time. I know them and I know what to expect from them. Hopping on a wave with a stranger will most likely piss him off at a minimum. It could mess up his ride, and it could get someone hurt. I agree with you though. Riding waves with a friend is super fun, but then again, my friends are mostly on longboards and surf SUPs.
