I've been a fan of The Dubliners since I fist heard them on a primitive coach radio in Scotland on my honeymoon In 1967! I'm near 80 yo now and I'm still a fan, listening to their music. It many times pulled me through some rough patches in life ... and it still does! thank the heavens for these guys!
I can't remember ever not loving there music.im 77 now I was about 17 1when I first heard them due to my older sister.then my other sister began to listen to them and we were hooked.my older sister got a old worn out car and we followed them everywhere. We even had the privilege of meeting them backstage many times even sharing the odd drink.im sitting here now December 23rd 2023 at 12-20am.and ill never stop.what can you say about them.the late great Luke .Best voice I've ever heard or will again.Ronnie with his gravel voice.gentle John.and who can forget Barney.oh happy days.R.I.P.. to you all.always loved never forgotten.you gave me the best years.
My dad used to sing 7 drunken nights to me when I was a baby, little did he know what he was foreshadowing haha, 28 now and still and always will love the dubliners
Ah, my dad John Molloy is mentioned in part one. Remember seeing Ronnie performance (with Mike H.) At Irish arts center NYC. Afterthe show had dinner at Irish restaurant in Hells Kitchen, with Dyrdr, my mum Yvonne, sister Honour, and big bro Simon. All of a sudden Ronnie slipped outside in the court yard for a Cuban cigar! I believe one of his last nyc performances. Cheers to the Drew family and musicians and friends, slante!
I had the honor of seeing and hearing the Dubliners at the old opera house in Frankfurt! Back then with Luke Kelly. And my god I will never forget it. RIP Ronnie RIP Luke!
Rip ronnie drew your voice siuts the songs that you were singing luke kelly had a super voice also you both were amazing rip luke kelly im sure you both are talking and laughing of the old times on the road rip legends
What I would give to turn back the clock and gi back to the beginning when the dubliners were born, I bet they are all playing the fantastic music and pleasure they gave to so many people, God may keep his eyes on you, rest in peace drew.
Yes George ill second that.whenever the Dubliners were in England my sister and myself travelled all over to see them.i like you wish it would start all over again.ive lots of happy memories from them days.im 76 now and im still listening to them.yes Rest in peace Ronnie.Luke .Barney .and not forgetting Ciar'an.
Disgraceful to use such disgusting flags when commenting on such a beautiful man! Your morals are disgusting and complete opposite of what normal people such as the dubs would agree with get a life and be normal.
Oh yeah. The old horse still outruns, outshines, outclasses, outdresses and outsings Shane McGowan in that video clip! R.I.P. Mr. Drew. There will never be another one like you!
