#Daredevil - บันเทิง
Wow, there’s never been a bad live action Kingpin, Michael Clarke Duncan and Vincent D'Onofrio are both absolutely phenomenal
I agree with you
Don’t forget John Rhys-Davies
@@godofevil9468 just about to say that.
Literally, the voice i hear reading the books @godofevil9468
0:17 This is one of the reasons why I love this version of the Kingpin. While most villains would continue to send their henchmen after the hero, then retreat when the hero gets close, the Kingpin does the opposite. He sends his henchmen home, he stays right where he is, and he faces Daredevil like a man. No one could have played him better than the late, great Michael Clarke Duncan.
Imagine the psychological damage this would do to the hero too, especially someone like daredevil who could normally hear everyone in the building all at once. He shows up for his big fight and it’s a total ghost town, no heat from the lights in the entire tower except for the very top floor where he can hear a single heart beat, and can tell he’s perfectly calm just waiting for the devil to show up
Stellar fight scene indeed..................RIP Michael Clarke Duncan, played a great king pin.
Sorry but Vincent blows him outta the water and it's not even close.
@@djdubc09271Nope
@@djdubc09271dude, they are two completely different kingpins. One’s fantastical, the other is realistic. You can hop off and stop doing tricks on it man
In an alternate universe, we would have gotten to see Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man go toe-to-toe with Michael Clark Duncan's Kingpin, and it would have been too good for words.
That would've been awesome I was bummed out I never saw Tobey fight Kingpin in Spider-Man 3 I was probably remember the game that was a better story
Sort of did. In the show Spiderman the new animated series this version of Kingpin makes an appearance, and is voiced by Duncan himself. The show is supposed to be Canon to the Raimi movies.
And hulk 2003
Noooooo why would you do this to us?
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lpAlso Tobey fought Kingpin in the Spider-Man 3 video game
Wish Michael was still with us, he would have been so bloody awesome in the MCU.
Yeah Michael Duncan Clarke for me was the definitive version of the King Pin, I really wish we could’ve seen him reprise his role today.
Clarke as kingpin I feel was much more intimidating, although the new actor is great too.
His voice is phenomenal, I'm sure he would be Groot's voice actor in the MCU
@DragunovWayne he voiced groot in ultimate spider man once
Phenomenal casting. Everyone is on the D'Onofrio bus, but I thought that Duncan was fantastic.
And to think, THIS was Stan Lee's *original vision for the Kingpin character
He was excellent casting!
D'onofrio had better material to work with. MCD would have been just as stellar with the Netflix Daredevil script.
Duncan is bigger and muscular, but he has the face of a good man.
Donofrio really has the face of a cruel mob boss.
They’re both great
This and Sam Rami’s Spiderman were my childhood superhero movies.
Me too
Same
I always wanted Michael Clarke Duncan to play Darkside
He has the voice :o
I got goosebumps thinking about that idea. I know we must move forward, but ohhh what could've been. 😢
That would have been epic!
If he played Darkseid I would lose my mind
The voice man. Totally can see that. Nice choice
If I could say one good thing about this movie, aside from MCD as Kingpin and Colin Farrell as Bullseye, it would be the idea that DD's radar sense works on water drops and he can use that to see things.
I mean yeah, his radar sense is essentially echolocation
Unfortunately this movie got that wrong rain dulls his senses so the water drops would have hindered him instead.
This version of Affleck is prime, I like and respect Cox's but in a fight between the two I believe Affleck's Daredevil would win, I would have loved to have seen more of him with the character
Ben Affleck looked cool in the suit, just saying! This film isn't as bad as people make it seem. Obviously, I was too young for this film when it came out, but from what I've seen through trailers and adverts, it looked cool and I felt this was in the same universe as Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man! Loved the action and music and R.I.P. to Michael Clarke Duncan - best live-action Kingpin!
For me it still takes place in Tobey's universe, mainly because it has a similar atmosphere and MCD voiced Kingpin in the 2003 animation that was supposed to be canon
For being so hated, this movie was ahead of the times.
Kingpin was always portrayed as a fat white man. But here, he's a colored muscular man! And I dig it!
It wasn't about race, politics, or agenda.... The best actor best suited for the vision got the role! And nobody said a thing about it! They just watched the movie!!!
Man, take me back to these days!
Nobody said anything because there wasn't an army of dips*its ready to jump and accuse Hollywood of spreading hate against white people of whatever. Casting choices with a twist were treated just as that: a choice that a director has the freedom to do.
Ngl I agree here, this was very well written
Always portrayed? I think you mean he was originally created as a white male with squat heavy but muscled physique like that of a Sumo Wrestler. They had one prior live action take on Fisk with the Hulk TV movie.
Not a student of the comics, eh?
Kingpin is the type of boss who looks like his own bodyguard .
He kinda is if you think about it
It’s true.
Everytime Kingpin's own security tries to help him fight the hero, he always tells them to back off.
Funny you say that because Duncan actually worked as a bodyguard for a while.
That and he already killed his bodyguards at the beginning of the movie
Before acting, MCD was a real bouncer in the 80’s in Chicago
Daredevil Got His Vengeance Letting Kingpin Be Arrested
By, Humiliation Murdock Won
His Final Confrontation
@jamelleartis9172 was Kingpin really arrested and humiliated though?
Michael Clark Duncan I think he did good with little support to the characters back then
He and Vincent both really captured the role well, both in how smooth they talk from how intimidating their height is
@@nikkimiddlekillsday5161yep both actors give off that imposing look which works for the character.
@@iamsherlocked345 and both captured the brokenness
This will always be my favorite live-action kingpin
Mine too. If he were still alive today, I would love to have seen him go up against Tom Holland in the next Spider-Man movie
@@tmntj11this kingpin would kill Tom Holland Spiderman 😂😂😂
Marvel’s Daredevil Kingpin >
@@amortality999.In my opinion, Duncan was much better than D'onofrio, whatever his name, color doesn't matter, personality and being like the character is much more important, I much prefer Duncan
@@josevenerelizaga254bro he couldn’t even kill Matt and he’s human lmao what makes you think he can kill Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 🤣🤣🤣
This score is truly underrated!
The extended edition is the best way to enjoy this movie all the fights are longer like the bar fight. The final Bullseye fight had alot more combat scenes in the church including the fight with kingpin
I've seen it plenty times the directors cut and I never noticed the fights are longer especially they bar scene that's my favorite I definitely need to watch again
And more coolio! R.I.P.
Michael Clarke Duncan was tailor made for the role of kingpin gave the best performance since John Coffy in the green mile
I might be the only one but this movie wasn't as bad as people make it seem
It's early 2000s superhero tropes.
It's a mixed bag.
Exactly bro daredevil is meant to be that agile and acrobatic and they saying how can he flip and sky drive for those heights they obviously don’t read comics
It honestly wasn’t for being 2000 ish marvel.
It’s just the new kids hating on us 2000s kids little do they know we’re the real cool kids 😎🤘
Always liked this movie.
The director’s cut is better.
The issues with the movie should be overlooked. It’s fun, cool and linear.
It works perfectly as a movie of the week.
I think the main weakness is lack of depth or complexity to the story and characters. It feels a little familiar and methodical in tone and narrative akin to something like Tim burtons batman but has the choreography and visual style of blade.
Having said that it holds up well compared to the stuff we see today. This is where Affleck sharpened his sword because this role compliments his turn as batman.
His laughter is the most comic book thing ever to be in a movie.
This will forever be one of my favourite superhero films. So iconic
man i wish michael clark duncan never died, he was a great actor and nailed it as kingpin
The Kingpin was wise not to tell anyone that Daredevils is Matt Murdock after removing his mask because no-one would believe that the blind lawyer from Hell's Kitchen can fight so good and break the Kingpin's kneecaps.
@azurerainbow4637 then why was Kingpin laughing and confidently saying he would get back?
@@Seasonal-Shadow_4674because he knows *he couldn’t*
After all these years I can't understand why there's so hate to this movie. Yeah, it's not perfect but the story is pretty solid, the casting was actually great and the director's cut is pretty cool
If you have to watch the director's cut of a movie for it to be good it's not good.
It tried to hard to match spider man but they did a short version of a story that the series did a way better job of telling but the cast was so solid that I rooted for the villains
@@Moneybagzzz tell that to the Snyder cut
It was made in the aftermath of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, so all the action scenes were very floaty. Quicker cuts to give the fights more weight would have made a huge difference. Also, Matt Murdock trying to maintain his secret by having a martial arts fight in broad daylight while balancing on two seesaws didn’t make a lot of sense. But seriously, a change in fight cinematography and cutting that one bonkers scene would make this a very solid superhero movie. Its mistakes were distracting, but few. And the casting was superb, as a lot of people have already said.
@@Moneybagzzzthat isn’t even true
Daredevil 2003 is 20 years old.
Crazy.. I remember watching on dvd player as a younger kid
No it’s fuckin 3 years old.🤡🤡🤡
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
@@milescrume6248 kinda dumb Daredevil in this movie lets a lets a creep get run over by a train but spares the employer of same creep and many like him (e.g Bullseye)
I would watch it as a kid, on VCR.
If there was gonna be a black Bane it would have been Michael Clarke Duncan
He would have been an awesome bane
Or black juggernaut too i guess if xmen made in 90s they choose micheal clark ducun
As someone who has experienced injurying a knee, 3:33 I felt that. It hurts to watch.
One time I run and both my legs pooped both my big bones popped and it hurt like fuck most painful thing I’ve ever experienced and that scene gave me ptsd flashbacks
Actually look more like you broke his legs we’re just two kicks
It has taken decades for people to finally come to their senses and properly appreciate this movie. Ben Affleck was unnecessarily disliked in the early 2000´s simply bcos critics were biased about his casting in so many big budget movies back then and they felt it was all due to his looks. that bias influenced fans as well. when I first watched this movie when it came out I enjoyed it. was it a masterpiece? absolutely not, but definitely deserved a sequel and could have easily been a cameo in Spiderman 3 or Iron Man 5yrs later. fans went ballistic when he was cast as Batman, but he’s still the best Batman after Bale so far. Ben Affleck is a good actor and there's no denying that.
To be fair, I prefer the comics.
The Daredevil movie steals from the style of Fight Club, and the depictions felt p0rn0-like.
His Batman is centuries better then bales

Technically we are getting more content from this universe 😊👍
This kingpin's actor died.

Really loved these guys, but if Ben Affleck wasn’t 6’4”, and Vincent D’Onofrio could get to Michael Clarke Duncan’s size, presence, and physical abilities,… would make for a much better Comic Book-to-Live Action depiction
Mr. Duncan was in fantastic shape for this role. RIP big man💪🙏
Classic I still watch it today ❤
Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin is such an underrated CBM casting. This film had a lot of issues, but I do really this casting and Colin as Bullseye.
Best Daredevil & Kingpin ever!!! Rest In Power Michael Clark Duncan. I would’ve loved to have seen him square up against Spidey.
This will always be my kingpin.
idk why everyone hates this movie , its made through the comics this is exact look daredevil from the comics , the suit is amazing as hell , netflix looks like batman from ebay , ben read all the daredevil comics hes daredevil , the movie recived one of the best scripts ever
Much love kingpin
kinda dumb Daredevil in this movie lets a lets a creep get run over by a train but spares the employer of same creep and many like him (e.g Bullseye)
"Why?!"
"Business..."
Now because I think about Toby Maguire Spider-Man in 2002 and Daredevil movie was in 2003 would’ve been dope if they would’ve met up back then 😮
No Punisher?
Always been crazy to me that kingpin has no powers, dude is just a tank taking on supes
Daredevil one of favorite when I was growing up in the 60's. I used to buy the comic for 15 cents.
I had an action figure of this version of Daredevil. This suit honestly is up there with Charlie Cox's suits. I love this movie and enjoyed the brutality in this fight as much as I enjoyed the Netflix show.
R.I.P Michael Clarke Duncan🙏 To me u will always be the OG Kingpin💪💯
Anyone else feel like this would be a great Batman movie?
That shot of DD on the roof looking up at the tower is pure Batman.
I can definitely see it!
Some people are always comparing batman and ironman in similarities, but I see batman and daredevil sharing a lot of similarities as well , especially their moral code
Too bad Michael Clark Duncan didn't live long enough to play Bane in Dark Knight Rises.
Nah, the role of Bane should’ve went to Dave Bautista.
Michael Clarke Duncan on the other hand would be great as Punisher's recent enemy Barracuda in the Netflix series.

I’ll be honest, no Kingpin will top Duncan’s, his voice is perfect and he just LOOKS the Kingpin part
When Daredevil broke Kingpin's kneecaps.... DAMN!!! that's gotta hurt....🤣🤣🤣
Kingpin 4 life
I respect D'onofrios performance cause he's more accurate to the comic book. but Michael Clark Duncan was incredible in this movie especially during this fight scene the way Kingpin gets ready for DareDevil to arrive.
Most underrated superhero film to date..
From singing living on a jet plane and drilling a Meteor together now they fight each other wthat a bestfriend
This movie is very underrated, I'm sure it would have been a success if the script had been in great hands and thus seen more of MCD as Kingpin, maybe even a crossover with Tobey's Spider-Man ❤️

I'd love to see Kingpin go up against Batman now that would be one heck of a fight.
Rest in peace, Michael Duncan.
You know...with the recent returns of the two spiderman in no way home. This movie has a chance of being canon in the mcu.
How
Every *MARVEL* movies that are outside *MCU* are already been canon since were all in the *MULTIVERSE SAGA*
Actually it is canon because the characters or events from this film will be revisited in Deadpool 3. Jennifer Garner who played Elecktra is rumoured to cameo in the upcoming threequel.
The movie will revisit all the comicbook properties that were owned by 20th century Fox including this, Fantastic Four and the Xmen series.
I’m excited. Nothing better then a little nostalgia and fan service.
Story here doesn’t even compare to Netflix but there is a lot to be liked too, I personally do not get the hate behind the suit, I think it looks great, also MCD is such a good kingpin, he embodies a very 2000s version of the character and it works, also he has the perfect built for the character
I love this movie I don’t care what the haters say, the reason people hated this movie was because they weren’t ready for it
