Turns out, that $4.3 Billion going to homeless people just creates more homeless people and more handouts.
I've been homeless, and when people were just paying me, I stayed homeless because other people were supporting me.
They don't want to have homes, because that means their support will end. That's one reason why homelessness is rising.
The other reason that democrat-led states have such bad homelessness problems is due to the democrat's COVID response, which killed hundreds of thousands of jobs across the country. We don't see this problem in republican-led states and cities.

I wonder how many Washington residents are living on owner occupied residences on their own property versus those living on rented land like in a trailer or mobile home or are merely renters living in a apartment or townhouse.

It's interesting because democrat's COVID response got rid of more jobs than anything.

Every country that has implemented neo-liberal public policy is now experiencing a growing homeless crisis. This is a product of wealth disparity and the pricing mechanism. The more capital that accumulates at the top. The less there is available at the bottom. That is how markets allocate resources. The resource goes to those who can pay the most for it.
