Iv been binge watching your channel and I’d just like to say how much you have grown as a presenter and also as a producer, your videos have changed from being entertaining in an amateurish way to what is now TV quality videos and you are every bit as good a presenter as any tv car show has (and in many cases better). Well done to you both and keep it up. Cheers buddy.

Rob, Chris, when I was a kid in the 1950s, any 12-year-old car was usually pretty much knackered. That Merc looks like it's just come out of the factory. What a difference and what a great video! Thank you.

This has become my favourite channel on the whole youtube and is bordering on therapy. Polite and decent people with an impressive skillset calmly and peacefully go about creating excellent content that you can actually learn something from and then sell for sensible money. No stress, no greed, no fake deadlines. It's so incredibly welcome in the world in which we live. Thank you both.

I have to say this set of vids on the E350 have been amongst the best . I love info like check with main dealers for parts and you illustrate the difference say between ebay and other sellers. This kind of content is very useful. Rob and Chris it shines through how genuine you both are. Take no notice of anyone trying to change the way you say things , for me you are always yourself and that is priceless. Thanks guys keep on giving all of us such great content.

Always worth checking main dealer for any parts before looking elsewhere. My partner has a new Renault Captur R/S Line and I bought genuine interior mats, full set, cheaper from the dealer than any other aftermarket supplier to sell them for.
Also the factory wind deflectors were cheaper than aftermarket too.
Keep up the great work you both do.

For LED flicker, play with FPS or frame rate per second (shutter speed). For cars the dimming function of the lights uses pwm at frequency X. (Variable). For UK led lights at 50hz, that's 100 times a second flicker. Set the fps to🐀 50 or 25 to remove the appearance of the flicker, so does increasing it to 150. They really are flickering every time the voltage crosses zero when going from positive to negative and back again in AC power. The naked eye can't process like that. It's analog so it doesn't turn off and on like digital stuff that happens to catch the zero volts and holds it long enough for us to see it.
For detailed information search LED video banding. As in video band rate is matching led on off rate. Now you can put LEDs in the shop. I haven't because my flourescents are still working great.

Spraying is quite, an art to get right. It is great to see the parts emerge from their preparation stage, to fully painted, sharp bright and ready for service once more. Mind you say not a lot of work to complete the job, but rather you than me, canny trading gets you a long way, but to me, it still looks like a mess of work to cross the finishing line. That was one of the best 'round up' summaries. All in all, a successful rebuild, some laughs, and a reasonable potential profit to come, once Chris's snagging activity is done.

Great project. I worked at MB selling new cars from 2009 to 2011. This was a £ 45k plus car and was in massive demand. Couldn't get hold of enough to sell. E350cdi was the one to have and is still a very desirable car.... keep up with this kind of salvage. Enjoy Chris.

Another quality motor saved from the scrapyard. This one has years of life left in it with that big V6 3.5 diesel purring away, burning up the miles effortlessly. You have really gone the xtra mile with this one to make sure that it perfect in every detail. Credit to you both. I would keep it personally, they are a beautiful car to waft around in, and they eat up the the long journeys with comfort and ease. Keep a light foot on the throtttle and the economy should be surprisingly good for a car of this size. 👍😎

Hi guys, this one turned out amazing :), of course nothing else will be expected. Regarding the pearl paint for the people that don't know, you know Rob because you seen it being done, the three stage are like this: first a colour base coat is applied, them after dry a translucent pearl coat is applied, goes in the boot in heat to cook as this coat is a solid coat and not water based it releases fumes resulting from chemicals reactions while curing and if you do not apply heat before applying the final clear coat the chemicals will push through the clear coat and leave the surface of the car looking like the moon and last the clear coat is applied, but that painter is a good professional, i like to see him working. Regarding the led lights jn the workshop there is a solution, if you jave three fase supply in the workshop what has to be done to avoid is to connect each row of leds to a different fase this way they will have different timings between them and no flicker, is the same i happens when you using mains rotating tools, if the tool is connected to the same fase of the lights can happen that the rotating tool looks that is not rotating when it is. And last but not the least, love those dogs, so funny. Chris, you look nice in that Merc. Haha, have a nice weekend.

Another triumph Rod & Chris, what a top job! It looks fabulous.Your work is truly top notch. I’m really tempted on this one and I don’t really need another car! As has been said by others, I too would have on issues with buying a rebuilt car from you guys what so ever, all your work is excellent. Thanks again for a great series on this Merc.
