Great collection, Steve! I love a Digipak myself, to me I always think of them as premium versions. I think that goes back to Roadrunner Records in the late 90's and 00's where the special editions were in Digipaks and always included bonus tracks and additional artwork. Having said that, a lot of them suck these days, as it's just labels cheaping out! Like you, as long as they actually contain a booklet and an actual CD tray I think they're awesome. Cheers! 🤘
Nice collection! I love Digipaks for me they are the Premium Version of an album. Mostly they are with Bonus tracks. The only thing is you should them not leave in the car because they are not so well protected as the Jewelcase Version. Cheers mate!!!
Thanks man, I evoking on a shelf just for digipaks. I left one digipak in the car a while back and it damaged it pretty bad.. listened learned. Thanks for watching!
Excellent collection Steve! I don't mind digipaks but I hate the ones that slip in & out. I like the ones with the actual plastic thing to hold the CD in.
Well done.. now you have to put all those away 😂. I don’t mind digipaks. I know some folks frown on them. I keep mine in those little sleeves and treat them like albums. Great collection man. Superb
Yea, I am old fashioned but coming around. I am going to order a packet of those plastic sleeves and get them protected. And all my digipaks have a shelf of their own. Thanks for watching
Awesome video Steve! Another great one! I like digipacks because they look like mini vinyl's, they're nice and compact too. They don't take as much space up. The only down side to them is opening them can be a pain! You showed so many great bands and albums, I have the Bolt Thrower one and I've also got Realm of chaos in digi. Testament ones are great, I have a couple of those. Morbid Angel sounding great in the background. All the best for this year mate 😊🤘
All the best to you too Josh, have a very happy new year. I honestly hated digipaks for a while but now that I have so many I've grown to like them haha
@@stevesekora ahh thanks man, I really appreciate that. Hopefully I will. Haha that's fair enough man, I guess it's an age thing because ivecalways thought they were cool. Except for opening them, that can be a pain in the arse getting out of their wrapping! 😀🤘

@@stevesekora I hear ya. I just ordered the Blackbraid album from 2022. It sounds pretty cool! Native American dude doing Norwegian black metal with his own touch to it.
Hi Steve! Very cool stuff you've shown there, I appreciate the digipack, some of them (mostly re-editions) have an amazing packaging with quite a lot of bonus material (pictures, liner notes, posters ...) The musical scenery was perfect, Covenant is in upper league, and I hadn't heard Morbid Angel so far this year. 😁 Yes, the Slayer digipacks from the Metal Blade era are truly amazing! Celtic Frost, Bolt Trower, Carcass, Kreator, Benediction, Testament ... Damn yeah! Thanks man, Happy New Year! 😎🤘
Thank you and Happy New Year! I used to not care for digipaks but lately they have started to grew on me. Easy to store and you don't have to worry about a cracked jewel case.. and the bonus features are pretty cool. Thankvyou for watching.
Only halfway through this video but I thought I'd put my comment while listening to Blood on my Hands! I have quite a lot of digipacks even though they are a pain to get on and off the shelves (I've no room anymore on the few shelves I've got now anyway) I understand why people prefer jewel cases but I always prefer to buy digipacks as a lot as you said have bonus tracks and are usually (somewhat 😆) limited releases. I'd have little to none if I collected vinyl though 🤣. First time I heard Angel of Disease I thought it was Slayer love that song! 🍻🤘🏻
I built a shelf for my digipak and it looks like a miniature vinyl Collection. But yea, they have grown on me and I thought I would do a digipak Collection video just due to not seeing any videos on the topic. And Angel of Desease rules.. the Abomination of Desolation version is a ripper as well. Trey does the vocals on both.
I hate digipacks hahahah but man sometimes you just gotta settle for it. I do dig A5 dig and digibooks tho, because atleast they’re a little tougher. Happy new year buddy! Starting off with a heater, that benediction album is one of my fave death metal records ever! I gotta pick up the first couple mortification records Man. All those later era testament records are ones I got on jewel case. Is the digi a more rare pressing? I didn’t see you show it, do you have the hellhammer demon entrails digi pack set of their demos? 🍻
The Testament digipak was my only option at the time. But I did find some more of my collection in boxes hidden away for years and it contained a jewel case version of Dark Roots. Thinking about making a video on that find of CDs today! I wish I had a copy of Hellhammer.. that is a band o don't own anything from but I did see that digipak on HHR and may grab a copy soon.
@@stevesekora Thus far I have found 2 jewel case versions of. AC/DC - Back in Black (I just replaced the original booklet and disc with the reissues) and Metallica - Death Magnetic
@@christopherbarker1048 I seen a jewel case version of Death Magnetic at the local record shop.. I'll go see if it is still there tomorrow and I will send it to you if you want it.
