These guy are amazing and i give them credit for bringing back real music, that's hard to digest, sits hard on the stomach, and leaves me hungry for more. Kudos to The Band, and to the fans and fuck all those who demand " better" but cant play a lick of the riffs CaC put down. ---ONE

Coheed doesn't have any bad albums. There is something to love in every album, and many of the Albums grow on you over time with more listens. Initially I didn't care for Black Rainbow, but I've been listening to it a lot lately in anticipation of The Afterman.
I haven't listened to coheed in years. I forgot how much I loved them.
How can you not listen to Coheed in YEARS ?! I mean for hours is still ok, but for YEARS !

I think you really have to actually like Coheed and Cambria first, to be able to enjoy this cover. I can see why the majority of these comments are negative, but being a child of the fence myself, I quite enjoyed every minute of this cover.

Well, yes. Which is what is occurring. If you want to be petty about semantics, no, his voice isn't being amplified by the pickups. But his voice is vibrating the strings, which are in turn being amplified by the pickups. It's not an uncommon technique, but it is always an interesting sound and I usually enjoy it when it's done, to sing through ones guitar. My favorite example is the opening to The Velvet Teen's Your Last Words.
I agree but Coheed live sounds better than 99.9% of other bands studio versions.
Chris is gone and Josh is back. Of course i am excited, I love all of their albums. The Afterman will be amazing i'm sure.

This Band produced it. Forget the grungy or fuzzy, the niche or sublime. Enjoy them for what the are and the evolution of the band. If you, as a music lover, nay, as CaC lover, cant enjoy what they put into the world, perhaps you should find another vinyl to put the needle to, another bloody band that bleeds pustules of brilliance from boils infected with awesomeness and brilliance, to fit that "sound" you are looking for.
