These guy are amazing and i give them credit for bringing back real music, that's hard to digest, sits hard on the stomach, and leaves me hungry for more. Kudos to The Band, and to the fans and fuck all those who demand " better" but cant play a lick of the riffs CaC put down. ---ONE
gahhhhhh the way she glances over at him and he just looks at her like "go for it, babe." that support and reassurance and encouragement from a simple glance. they are so fuckn cute
this was the coolest show i ever went to, especially when claudios wife came out! I got goosebumps all over, and i get them everytime i see this video. Thank you Coheed.
Rarely do comment on subjects and semantics that is the World of TH-cam, but after reading the comments posted here, I cant resist. Its Coheed people! they make amazing music. Whether it be old or new.
Something just reminded me that this video exists and I had to give it another listen. Honestly this cover is fucking legendary, I wish they had done a studio version of this.
Best part of this is Claud waving his tongue and the girls screaming. Then he shakes his head at them like, "You will never get this... oh hey, here's my goddess of a wife."
I was at the very first show few weeks earlier. It was sick!!! And awesome to see Josh back in his first show. I never time such cool things so for once I get to brag. haha
Coheed doesn't have any bad albums. There is something to love in every album, and many of the Albums grow on you over time with more listens. Initially I didn't care for Black Rainbow, but I've been listening to it a lot lately in anticipation of The Afterman.
Well, yes. Which is what is occurring. If you want to be petty about semantics, no, his voice isn't being amplified by the pickups. But his voice is vibrating the strings, which are in turn being amplified by the pickups. It's not an uncommon technique, but it is always an interesting sound and I usually enjoy it when it's done, to sing through ones guitar. My favorite example is the opening to The Velvet Teen's Your Last Words.
wow!!! this is how the song should sound...emotion, power, and depth....makes those boys in gotye look like a bunch of girls. Turn it up, sing it loud, and feel it! Way to go Coheed!
I think you really have to actually like Coheed and Cambria first, to be able to enjoy this cover. I can see why the majority of these comments are negative, but being a child of the fence myself, I quite enjoyed every minute of this cover.
hey i tweeted ur video on twitter saying that every coheed fan must watch this at least 1000 times and chondra totally fave the tweet! i freaked out! ^_^
We used a Samsung Compact Full HD Camcorder- we love it! You can also take HD pictures with it and you can take capture photo from recordings as well-Thank you
As far as I know yeah. The strings are picking up the vibrations from his voice, and normally you wouldn't hear something like that when playing, but due to the large amount of volume they're playing at it manages to come through the mics. I could be wrong however.
Of course Josh will be able to play it all. He's going to have to if he's going to tour with them. Plus, I don't know why I missed it but you said you listened to the last three albums. Their best work is largely considered to be the first two albums and Josh has plenty of interesting drum tracks on those. I definitely don't think they held back on his account though, he has a relatively intricate intro for Apollo II that got scrapped for whatever reason.
I'd love for them to do a studio cover of this song!
This still rocks, wish they did a studio version
I heard Gotye did a cover of this

Chondra looks so happy to be singing along his side. i love coheed!
gahhhhhh the way she glances over at him and he just looks at her like "go for it, babe." that support and reassurance and encouragement from a simple glance. they are so fuckn cute
Saw them twice in LA.. two of the best live performances I've experienced. If you haven't seen them live.. this video is accurate for what it is like.
this was the coolest show i ever went to, especially when claudios wife came out! I got goosebumps all over, and i get them everytime i see this video. Thank you Coheed.
I love how at 1:22 Claudio does a tongue gesture to someone at the audience and then pauses a little to apologize and laugh
AWww they making beautiful music babies.
I love how his ring shines. Perfect for this video and his clear thoughts about his life.
They need to put out a proper album quality cover of this, it's brilliant!
The YOTBR style chorus. So sick.
him and his wife are amazing.
Kinda forgot these guys existed. Glad that I was reminded of them.
Saw this live in Chattanooga. Best thing ever
This is my favorite song...but only this version.
I always thought it was awesome how the first and last letters of Claudio and Chandra are CO&CA. Pretty cool how that worked out.
1:22 claudio flirts with someone then quickly retracts it "My bad my bad, sorry!"
Rarely do comment on subjects and semantics that is the World of TH-cam, but after reading the comments posted here, I cant resist. Its Coheed people! they make amazing music. Whether it be old or new.

Saw them live about a month ago and they killed it! I'd go again for sure!
There needs to be a studio version of this T_T...
I haven't listened to coheed in years. I forgot how much I loved them.
Something just reminded me that this video exists and I had to give it another listen. Honestly this cover is fucking legendary, I wish they had done a studio version of this.
I love the way he uses the guitar pickups as a mic. Claudio is so amazing
XD 1:23 one of the best moments in Coheed and Cambria history

Best part of this is Claud waving his tongue and the girls screaming. Then he shakes his head at them like, "You will never get this... oh hey, here's my goddess of a wife."
I'm geeking out right now. Holy God. This is amazing. God, Claudio's voice is incredible.
Great job on the record. Looks and sounds awesome.
I was at the very first show few weeks earlier. It was sick!!! And awesome to see Josh back in his first show. I never time such cool things so for once I get to brag. haha
Ermergerd! This band never ceases to rock my face off! Brilliant! I love them!
They did this when I saw them in Montreal, coheed is unbelievable live
Their voices work so well together. aw.
Coheed doesn't have any bad albums. There is something to love in every album, and many of the Albums grow on you over time with more listens. Initially I didn't care for Black Rainbow, but I've been listening to it a lot lately in anticipation of The Afterman.
I was there! First time they ever did a duet like that!
1:23 is the best Claudio moment I have ever seen haha...
Beautiful! Out me in an even better mood
HOW DOES ONE BECOME THIS AWESOME?
I was at this show.. Freaking stupendous...
Aww that was so cute seeing them sing together.
There needs to be a studio version of this, not least because even when I heard the original, my first though was of The Writer and Erica Court
I love that Claudio is talking into his guitar pickups!!

Agreed. I'd love to hear this on a CD
Don't care what anyone says, this song is good. One of the few top 40 songs I enjoy.
Totally amazing.
Claudio is the only who can fit Gotye's notes with natural ease.
Chris is gone and Josh is back. Of course i am excited, I love all of their albums. The Afterman will be amazing i'm sure.
Frankly, I just wanted to point out how adorable they are on stage together.
Thats awesome, thank you so much! Can't believe she did that, really cool..thanks again
My favorite song by Coheed & Cambria
What!?!?!?! I was deep diving Sinéad and I came across this.....fucking epic.

Wow. I like this as much as the original. They did a pretty damn good job.
wow!!! this is how the song should sound...emotion, power, and depth....makes those boys in gotye look like a bunch of girls. Turn it up, sing it loud, and feel it! Way to go Coheed!

I apologize for any perceived vulgarity but this cover defines eargasm for me. I need a cigarette.
What I'd give to be there for this epic moment.
Tried, and did quite well!
Thanks for the upload. ;)
their kid will be the most talented kid like, ever.
Smashed it! It's like coheed wrote it gotye did the cover!
Oh hey, I was at this exact show!
hey i tweeted ur video on twitter saying that every coheed fan must watch this at least 1000 times and chondra totally fave the tweet! i freaked out! ^_^
We used a Samsung Compact Full HD Camcorder- we love it! You can also take HD pictures with it and you can take capture photo from recordings as well-Thank you
Twas beyond epic!
Really hope at some point they can get the okay to do a studio recording.
I saw these guys in Orlando one time they're amazing live. Mosh pits are the shit
And this is the perfect way that condescension can be used for good.
i agree, In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth is actually my fav coheed album, but my fav song is off of black rainbow, Pearl of the Stars
that couldn't be more well played sir!
As far as I know yeah. The strings are picking up the vibrations from his voice, and normally you wouldn't hear something like that when playing, but due to the large amount of volume they're playing at it manages to come through the mics. I could be wrong however.
She was totally worth writing the Amory wars and starting a super successful concept band for lol.
studio version is sooooooo needed of this cover I'm sure I'm the 100th person to say that but it true XD
They had BETTER make a studio version of this. Love...
Coheed and Cambria need to perform every song ever.
It's definitely Chondra haha, I was at this show and met her and Claudio after the show:p
imagine being good at singing and just singing to songs im your car and thinking hmmm imma cover this
a studio version of this would be awesome
I like the Gotye version but I've heard it soooo much I'm getting sick of it. This is awesome! They did a really good job covering this song!
Of course Josh will be able to play it all. He's going to have to if he's going to tour with them. Plus, I don't know why I missed it but you said you listened to the last three albums. Chondra is so cute it's unbelievable
Josh is the greatest open handed drummer. Hands down!
That was well done!
Still bangs in 2020!
