I bought the single "Bombers" by Tubeway Army way back in 1978 after hearing it in my local music shop. Gary Numan has been surprising me ever since. Autism is an underrated super power, he's an inspiration to a lot of people. And still at it after all these years - the man is a legend.

Great reaction M&G, love that you're liking the current Gary so much! You're absolutely right about Gary's vocal qualities, his voice is very distinctive and unmistakeable. It's what I noticed all those years ago. Decades later, we hear a Gary that's moved with the times in terms of production, musicianship and quality. Not bad for a 63 year-old eh?! The video was recorded at a gig in Liverpool, England. Gary wasn't happy with the seating at the venue, people basically couldn't see the show so gary told everyone to ditch there chairs and come and stand in front of the stage. The security were not very happy with him but nobody cared 😅 .Fantastic gig.

I’ve been a fan since the beginning, think one of my favourite tracks in recent year and a must for you to check out is Prayer for the Unborn, a live version if possible, this is a track he is still regularly playing on tour 👍
This song is my No 1 song. AFE is now No 2, ‘Savage’ & ‘Intruder’ BRILLIANT!!!! Some people don’t like his middle years. I’m a fan of ALL his music. Rush are my 2nd favourite group/music. (Awesome Canadian group) Please do some Rush, too. “Play it again”. Thanks.

You are right about his vocal style.Gary himself will say he cannot sing but the way he doe's sing works fantasically with his music.It all works together perfectly.Love this channel...love your enthusiasm.

Gary has such a huge wealth of music in his back catalogue.
'Haunted' gives a heavy modern metal vibe, whereas 'When the sky bleeds, he will come' surprises from the verse to the bridge then chorus.
For real melodic brilliance, try 'My breathing', particularly with the footage from the 2018 Savage tour with The Skaparis Orchestra.
Once you catch a hold of Gary, he's impossible to let go of.
I love Gary, one of my favorites is the end of things. I don't know if you've reacted to it but it is so good.

That’s one thing we don’t have here ….. bears!!! Except for koala bears and they are not the same thing. You were saying about hearing one bad song, to you that is, and I feel you are quite correct. As have done this myself and later heard another song by them and really enjoyed it. So just goes to show that you should not disregard their music on one try……. ❤️🤘🇦🇺

Gary absolutely hates his voice and for years he "mixed it down" on his songs. Then when he hooked up with producer Ade Fenton in 2007, the latter insisted "no, your voice is unique and it needs to be highlighted", so Ade started "mixing it up" - and since then, his soaring vocals have been the star of his songs.

Suggestion for your next review: Gary Numan and (his long-time producer) Ade Fenton. SERIOUSLY dystopian. Ade wrote the song, Gary performs the lyrics. It's truly awesome.
