I started my journey to become a Data Analyst 3 years back and I confess to have committed each of these mistakes mentioned and even more. I gave up on it with the excuse of being a person from a Non technical background. But I kept updating myself with current trends and latest updates. Recently, I decided to give it another go and this time around will try to get into the muddy water instead of sitting ashore and watching the water slide past. I have started with MS Excel. Picked up a small personal project to avoid the initial overwhelm that comes along with huge data sets. Will keep these mistakes in mind and make sure I don't repeat them. Will probably find new mistakes to do instead.
How about creating a video explaining how to present a business use case? For example, in the hiring process, candidates are often given a business problem and asked to create a presentation to solve or analyze it. One example could be focusing on a topic like ‘manufacturing excellence.’

Please help me how to overcome my fear NOT to succeed in my 2nd career because of my age... Who wants a 57 years old data analyst instead of a 35 years old for example? Is there something you always struggled with or something that took up a lot of time when doing your electrician work? Calculating something, invoicing, etc? Maybe you could come up with processes and templates using your data analysis skills to help other electricians who don’t have any data analysis skills.
