- The 2019 Suzuki Vitara is the recent facelift of the already superbly selling Vitara model. The 2019 Vitara is a capable multi purpose crossover SUV which when specified with all-grip, can almost go anywhere. In my previous review, the 2018 Suzuki Vitara S turned out to be a great every day vehicle, so just how capable is the 1.0 3-cylinder automatic version? Excellent review looking to purchase a used 2019 1.0 manual so this was a great watch everything was covered in this most of my driving will be local but some long distance motorway on occasions so 1.0 should be fine , seems their reliability is very good as for comfort being tall i wont find out until i make a long journey..

Around town you won’t notice, on the motorway you will a little bit - need to try harder fitting stuff in in future!
So is it actually capable off road with the AWD system then? Just about to watch the older video so bet it'll answer it ha. Doesn't look bad, looks really cheap and if it is as good to drive as your say they'll sell loads no doubt.
It’s really capable off road, got me through a literal snow storm. The build quality is great and the drive is absolutely amazing - before you consider the price.
I bought the 1.0 Turbobooster SZT just before Christmas, sadly I had to reject the car after 25 days cause the doors didn’t open and the engine didn’t start ( I had to open the door with the key and I to lock and unlock the door for the engine to start !) also the engine cut out 3 times when I was on the road and thankfully it happened at a quiet time. The replacement is fantastic!
Oh that’s not good to hear. I guess there’s always a dodgy few in mass production. Is the replacement still a 1.0 SZT?
Yeh same spec and colour etc. Suzuki will pay for the first service and that’s it, Christmas was ruined etc. It will be my last Suzuki cause of it, back to Hyundai.
That’s not good to hear. Have they seriously not offered more in compensation? I’d say a few more than 1 service, at least 5 services and a contribution back or something..?
No that’s it. They were very happy with themselves with just the 1 year service ! The dealer has been very good though. I tested about 9 cars over 12 months and got it done to the Hyundai Kona and the Vitara. I had my last car an Hyundai i10 for 3 years with no problem and my dad’s had 4 Hyundai’s in 15 years with not one problem. The Kona wasn’t suitable at all so went for the Vitara.

I had to reject my new 2019 1.0 Boosterjet SZT after 25 days due to the doors not opening (using the remote) and then the car wouldn’t start. The day after I picked it up I had to call The AA out, this happened 17 times in total (the AA man showed me a trick to get the car started).The engine cut out 3 times when I was on the road. It’s replacement was ok for 2 months then the driver’s door check strap broke causing the window not to fully open !
Oh no! Did you get another or just throw it back?
The first one was rejected after 25 days, the dealer still has it and doesn’t have a clue what’s wrong with it ! I tested 8 cars over 12 months and the Vitara was the best of the lot. I love the replacement but Suzuki GB Warranty are still thinking about the door strap, is it my fault it’s broke (dealer said the wind took the door too far back ) or the poor design of the door strap which is new in this car.
The door should be strong enough to withstand the force of wind catching it for sure.
TomKentMusic My 80 year Uncle who very clear and very blunt said that’s what the strap is there to do , but it shouldn’t break !

Probably not. I’ve not been to Hull for some years - it’ll be south coast area - but all the new Tesco branches look the same now. Haha!
