My Best Events to Increase in Members

These 3 events helped me enroll more than 20 students in one day!

The First event is a Board Breaking Seminar! (My biggest student event is the last one I am talking about so watch to the end)
For this event, I run two types of themes. The first theme is the more generic just bring a buddy and break wood to take home. With this more generic one, we talk about breaking wood boards instead of just our plastic re-breakable boards. That usually is hype enough for people to want to bring friends. Then on the day of all the Student boards have student-specific prizes written on the back and the buddies they bring have enrollment specials! (I have to just be sure to say that I want you to only discount and still profit). Then to add value the board breaks I do will tie into self-defense.
The other theme is around New Years we do Board Breaking tied with goals! So we have all the kids sit with their parents at the end and write 2 goals for the year and then their parent picks one more. Then their parents hold the paper and the kids crush their paper with their parents help. My hope is to start the conversation of what goals the kids have and at least one goal the parents picked To show that their parents will help them crush their goals I will tell the parents to add a small rip at the top, bottom, and middle of the paper before the kids all crush their goals(Break the paper). This even is always awesome because I get to start conversations between the kids and their parents at all ages.
Both of these board breaking events have secured more than 20 students at one time.
The second one I have run that goes INCREDIBLE is a “Buddy Week” with an exclusive Party at the end of the week.
What is nice about this event is we promote it and plan to have all the classes that week are buddy-themed. The prize is a free Pizza Party, Popsicle Night, Cookie Painting, or something of that nature. ONLY for the kids who bring friends that week and their friends! Then I do require parents attend because I only run it for about 90 minutes. We do a 30-minute class and during pizza I can talk to the parents about a special sign-up offer!
We have run this 3 times in the past 2 years and every time we got 16-25 NEW students! (Bonus tip: everyone who brought a friend offer some upgrade or at least extra special unexpected gift)
The absolute best and biggest student generation event I have done is our Trunk or Treat.

What I love about this event is the studio family buy-in and teamwork! The students get to bring in candy to donate, several always do trunks for us, and then we have an absurd amount of candy that way no-one goes candy broke right before Halloween! We have a costume contest, we have a trunk contest, and we do a safety talk for everyone!
This year it should just be huge! And even better. It is easily my favorite event to run! Again any of this just comment your questions below and I’ll reach out to answer them!
