Funny story. I was there the night Brian wrote "If You Want Trouble". Im from Salina, Ks. Brian sent me the first copy of this song when he first recorded it after his appearance here. I played it on the radio station I was working at at the time and it got some pretty heavy responses. Here we are several years later and it finally gets released!
This band is great live, saw them with Paul and later with Brian. This band has stood the test of time and still going strong. I want to see their new tour. Love them!
I actually got this album 3 days before its UK release and about 2 weeks before its US debut. I got the pleasure of having that fine piece of work early. Thats the benefits of writing reviews.
@kskisser hey thanks for the tip on Brian's new cd. I just checked it out and you are right it is awesome. I'm glad he is still making awesome music. Already bought and downloaded on my IPod.
I love Howe era Bad Co, and I actually prefer it to most of Rogers' material. They had some truly awesome tunes such as "If You Needed Somebody," "No Smoke WIthout a Fire" and "Rock of America." Furthermore, Brian did an excellent job live, including the older stuff, which sounded different, but had a cool vibe of its own. It's a shame that we didn't get more from them before they went their separate ways.
Brian is very well known for his sense of humor and I have heard him give this speech before. BTW all of you please check out Brians new solo album available on ITUNES called THE CIRCUS BAR! Its absolutely awsome!
Yeah saw him here doing Holy Water in a smaller setting.Quite the comedian. Did you know his guitarist can't speak a word of English doesn't understand it at all!🤣🤣🤣🤣
@utoobhooligan You know that's an interesting theory. Brian does have an awesome voice and was good for BC during that time. I can't find a lot of tunes on I Tunes with Brian as BC lead singer..I love both singers but maybe it's time to give Brian his dues as one of the best for BC. He stepped into big shoes but filled them very well and went on to bring the band a different audience. Rock on Brian.
I was backstage with the man last night (Jan 30, 2010) in his dressing room. I was apart of the opening band. His pep talk went as such. "Ok guys, lets go over how we will be doing tonight. You will have a shitty performance, you will play out of tune, you will be off key, and I will be fucking useless. But who cares, lets get out there and fucking rock!"
Wasnt Pauls doing really it was the Mick Ralphs and the Simon Kirks doing. Brain got fired when Paul decided to come back to the band and Brian sued them for the rights to continue his solo career singing Bad Co songs. Brian was totally in the right to do so as their former lead singer for ten years. Brian was also responsible for Bad Co's only legitimate #1 hit but they are just biting off their nose to spite their face. Kind of childish too. Brian is in the process of writing a tell all.
@@mattmacarthur520Mick Ralphs was playing on the album. That's correct. But on this video he's not on stage because Mick Ralphs, who was taking care of personal and family matters, sat out for most of the Holy Water tour, Ralphs was replaced on the road and in the videos by ex-Crawler guitarist Geoffrey Whitehorn and Dave Bucket Colwell, Ralphs returned later on during the tour and Whitehorn joined Procol Harum where he still plays to til Gary Brooker's death Also joining at this time was ex-ASAP guitarist Dave "Bucket" Colwell as second guitarist, who stayed in the band to 2002 and toured and recorded with all three BC singers. 2002 Merchants of Cool live album ( with Paul Rodgers)was his last album with BC.
@@turdoirishman oh okay man , got stuff I didn’t know that !! I also know that Mick was really hard to work with pretty much through the entire 80s and early 90s.. his alcoholism was at its peak until he got sober many years later . This white era of band company is so underrated, never gave Brian any credit and they should’ve because without him they may have never became relevant ever again. I love both eras personally
i think this man probably had the same problems as paul rodgers with queen ,stepping into freddies shoes, doesnt matter how good they are theyre gonna get dissed by the fans who cant accept something new......personally i think hes good!!! but i have to admit it....no-one can replace paul for me !

HOLY WATER BY BAD COMPANY IS A VERY GOOD SONG BACK IN THOSE DAY IT WAS FAR AHEAD OF THEIR TIME......
I remember played this song at college band festival. Holy Water has killer riffs!

Brian is a great singer and Bad Co had some great years with him. Paul is back and I am excited to see him next month.
it is an outstanding CD, IF YOU WANT TROUBLE, AND IM SURROUNDED,2 best songs on there, but they are all very good, not a bad song on the CD.

Brian looked a little like my first serious boyfriend!🥰

I know.god Brian helped the group return to the mainstream. And this is how they repay him.
Who are the guitarists? I can't see Mick Ralphs there. Brian Howe kicks ass!
Dave Bucket Colwell and Geoff Whitehorne
@@turdoirishmanwhat? Mick was absolutely playing on this album and tour wasn’t he?
