Wow! Well done. I was a fan from the beginning but the last title i bought was Desolation Angels. May have liked some later stuff on the radio (seeing KSJO go by was a trip) but..I'd pretty much forgotten about the band until one morning in like '05, I'm walking to get a newspaper at a local strip mall and Trader Joes is blasting "Deal With The Preacher" from Straight Shooter. I'd forgotten what a great track this was ! Get home, find the album, fire up the bedroom stereo, an amp and guitar and worked it up,,,,ah, the good ol' days (apt life now ;( I still dl the track here from time to time. It's awesome !!
🎉 I went to detroit ave one night yrs ago just to meet Mick and i was late so BOC was there. I didnt even recognize them When the drummer Bobby asked me why I was there i said, To meet Mick! Mick he rolled his eyes. So i drove him and the band followed after that concert at TopHat to Frisches Big Boy on Alexis Ave then showed them the way back to the hotel. I went to see You dude i tried! I was at the Wheatland jam too Paul! Im the virl that screamed Conquistadora you shook your head like? not right now! Yeah that was me trying to meet you. Lol. Love you all sure wish i could have met one of the men responsible of keepin me with my Dad. Someday huh. Somebody luved you.❤
Very interesting video on this bunch that I had not realised had a very successful career after the first couple of singles. Yes Peter Grant certainly devoted all his efforts into Zep however despite that the B C boys made a name for themselves
Yes both bands are shamefully not in the hall of fame as well as Lizzy, Tull but (c)rappers are. Should change the name from Rock n Roll to anyone can get in as long as we crease the palms.
Never heard that there was going to be a tour of bad company and backstreet crawler I did read that there was a tour set up with AC/DC supported backstreet, crawler it was cancelled because Kossoff died
Boz was a dear friend. He did not during rehearsals. He died at his home in Marbella, Spain in 2006. Boz had not been in contact with any of the other original members for some time. Mick Ralph’s is in a home and from what I hear is not very well at all. There was always conflicts ion the band…Im played keyboards on “Run With The Pack.
He said he died during rehearsals can mean during that rehearsal time as opposed to recording or touring. Maybe? Glad you pointed out the facts to be clear. I love this band.
@@AbleBodied When he died, Boz had not been involved with Badco for quite some time. As I said, I played keys on Run With The Pack and new all of the guys very well. Rodgers was and as far as I know still is a very unpleasant person ( ask Queen drummer Roger Taylor) , Kirke also not exactly a Good Samaritan. Mick was a lovely bloke who i met when he first arrived in London and subsequently joined Mott. Boz and Rodgers never got on and I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did.
The narrator’s details about Boz’s death come across as an afterthought at best. Shameful. I understood he was in rehearsal with Tam White at the time, though his death was at home at an impromptu 60th birthday party. Tam and other musicians including Alvin Lee were there to celebrate with Boz. Agree with your comments on the band members…Boz and Mick both lovely funny gents. Paul and Simon…self involved is the kindest description I’d give. Given Boz and Paul’s personalities, conflict was inevitable, 8 years was a longer run than you’d expect.
@@littlebird2276 Although he was also living in southern Spain, Alvin was not there when Boz died. I was living in Mexico and got the call from Catherine Burrell, Boz’s (second) wife. I visited Alvin a few weeks later and also went to see Catherine. The real truth is that Boz had sort of given up on music and that Tam White and another Scottish guy were visiting when Boz had a heart attack and died.
Not true. It wasn’t named after the movie “Bad Company.” Paul Rodgers explains that he wrote the self titled song before they named the band, and he and Mick Ralfs spend time trying to think of names to come up with, and Paul Came up with the idea of naming the band “Band Company” after the song.
@@mnbv990 they definitely were. Most people in the states know Free for one song. But they could and did do far more. They were just about the perfect rock and roll band. The fact that they were a bunch of teenagers is almost unbelievable
Free had the sublime bass player Andy fraser and the feel and emotion of Paul kossoff on his Gibson Les Paul along with Rodgers Vocals they where brilliant
" Orange juice that is "
I never knew there were albums without Paul Rodgers.
tHanks for the videos
I am a Bad Company fan. I enjoyed the live albums and performances done recently.
Love this group..i still have the 8 - track's and the vinyls..CD's as well..👍👍👍👍
Very cool!

Do Badfinger Next! It’s an interesting yet a sad story.
For sure. That is a REALLY sad story.

Great job on the story, but you left out the Robert Hart era (94 - 98). Still, thumbs up from me. 😎👍
Good call!
BAD CO...the greates british Rock Band all time...😎
their first 2 albums just smoked. But the title song from "Holy Water" sounds exactly like AC/DC. As for Rodgers solo career the less said the better.
Wow! Guess I learned I needed to know in the first 2 minutes!
Never heard that there was going to be a tour of bad company and backstreet crawler

Here comes trouble I love that song that is so me

The Robert Hart era was very good Great vocalist.
I'll be a Number one Bad Company Baby till I die
Deal with the preacher ,
Brian Howe was so underrated. His was my favorite of Bad Company!!!!
Get ahold of yourself
better singer than paul rodgers? nah!
He couldn't wear Rodgers jockstrap
That was Rotton Company.....Bad Company only had 1 vocalist....PAUL RODGERS
my ❤
Why aren't BAD COMPANY in the RRHOF? Or for THAT matter, why isn't Paul Rodgers (sp?) in the RRHOF? Or J GEILS, or WARREN ZEVON??????
No mention of Robert hart era and that is a goddamn shame
They are my top three favorite band sitting at #2 easily. Why aren't they in the hall?
6 good songs
Very interesting. I'd just assumed that they fell off the world when Paul Rodgers left.
What? No mention of Robert Hart or the ‘Company of Strangers’ era? What a disgrace! 11:54
Burning Sky was the best song in their catalog to me. I much prefer Free to Bad Company.
yes i agree totally. every free album is a classic.
Absolutely! Free were a class above.
@@mnbv990 they definitely were. Most people in the states know Free for one song. But they could and did do far more. They were just about the perfect rock and roll band. The fact that they were a bunch of teenagers is almost unbelievable

Do the group ambrosia
You Forgot to mention that Paul Rogers joined Queen to record the live album "Return of the Champions "
also, can you do BTO next?
BTO video: th-cam.com/video/NypAXFU8GAY/w-d-xo.html
Paul Rodgers………. PR in Queen 😵💫😢
STILL HERE!!!!
Mick Ralphs should have taught Paul Rodgers to play Can’t Get Enough in open C tuning.
He died on his birthday
The fact the " real " Bad Company isn't in the RRHoF shows what a crock of shit RRHoF is
