I've been using Outfit Studio to cut apart meshes. I create a mask and then "separate vertices." Pretty similar process to this, but it doesn't give you multi-view angles at once

Why not just select only the polygons on the belt, duplicate, then hide the original?

i am using the 2018 version and often get the "unknown error1" pop up window when I try to export a mesh or a skinned mesh as a nif file.
The exporting gets canceled afterwards.

Does anyone else experience this or knows a fix for it?
I appreciate every help and suggestion!

Oh, I got it! I've found "Modular" on Nexus. I guess, this tutorial was made for people, who use this resource.

How did you get 3ds Max to open Skyrim nifs? I downloaded 3ds max today but it's not reading the nif files.
