Hey Doc, I’ve been watching your videos for a few weeks now. I was in to traditional knives some years ago (mainly GEC, Queen, and Northwoods) but have been out of knives in general for a while now. My girlfriend and I went looking about an hour away from us and at the last shop we found a Schrade Scrimshaw double bladed Barlow (Barlows are my favorite). It’s the squirrel model, the blades are lightly stained but look to be never used, USA made and had the original box. They were only asking $20 for it and it seems they sell for a bit more online. I feel like I got a great deal and have you to thank sir. I now want the owl and raccoon one too. Thank you for everything you do. Keep the videos coming. God bless.

Nice haul. I really like the Mel Purdue. I met him several times and was going to his shop. He only lived about 45 minutes from me. Mr. Purdue passed away a few years ago and I didn’t get to visit him. He was quite the character.

Hello doctor and wade. Today I just got the bear and sons folding hunter that is exclusive at Buc-ee’s. I got it at the Texas city, Texas Buccees. It’s a very good knife. It came with a good sheath too. That Moore maker looks like almost the same knife.
So Wade should be planning to go to Jacksonville next year. Tell him whatever he is squirreling away for a budget for the trip to double it!! You can find that much great stuff there before you get 1/2 way through the tables.
A friend of mine named Randall gillbreath worked for and made Damascus for parker in the 1980s...he also bench made knives with his name on them for parker
I have owned a few Camillus made Moore Makers ( still have a couple ) . In my humble opinion they are better than what I see being made today. On a different note : with the 5 inch lockbacks of old . Comparing my old Sears lockback made by Camillus ( Nickle silver bolsters with finger grooves (before Buck) ). Quality and workmanship were superior to Buck 110 and Schrade lb7 . I used that knife for 20 years in construction. That quality is one of the reasons why Buck , Case , Moore maker and others had Camillus make several of their models on the hush hush / down low.
Picked up 2 bowie knives from bear sons at a bucky truck stop on is a baby bowie Damascus with stag handle fits my daughter's hand perfectly it's her camp knife😊
Hey Kevin, I have a paramilitary salt 2 with H2 steel. It’s in a dragonfly size. H2 and LC200 are highly corrosive. They always us the salt series in yellow and the hardware and clip are coated black.

That benchmade is a presidio that's a early model. I've got the new version of that same model.

I think the Damascus blade is very cool also I think if you fold it it doubles every time 4+4=8 folded again 8+8=16 folded again 16+16=32 and so on.
