First blade show and already meeting the owners of the companies that’s good stuff bear and son getting more love from me for his dedication to the community
I, honest to goodness, cannot believe you got to meet CJ Buck himself. He always seemed like such a nice guy in all his interviews. You truly are, a rising star in knife community, Doc. Keep it up
Thank you for letting us tour with you! So many beautiful knives, lucky that your bride brought along that backpack full of cash. So cool that the owners were there!! Enjoy the rest of the show!!
Great price on that German tank knife and it was really nice of the gentleman to show you the difference between the first smooth Handel one they made vs the original one you bought and let you exchange one for the other. God Bless have a great time and safe drive back home.
Doc, Congrats on your Sherman knife!! That rep was so good to let you pick and remembered you. Take it back with you tomorrow and see if SN# 80 happens to be on the table. Maybe he will let you swap it for 80th Anniversary.
Sir. What a cool event. Boker Sherman, how wonderful man! The story that the owner of Buck told was sensational. Thank you for sharing your experience. A hug from southern Brazil!
WoW,What a Fun Day .🎉 Your Joy is contagious,So glad you went ,and got to enjoy yourself as well as get to find your Sherman knife ,at a good price . Thx for taking us along 🎉❤
Hi Kevin, I am 100% behind you as far as case are concerned. Bear and sons have an annual factory event to sell their boo boo’s Whereas case sell theirs all year round from a retailer near you 😂. I was hoping you had thick gloves in your bag and tested the lock on the longhouse on the stand in front of their representatives. Enjoy the rest of the show.
Hi Kevin, it's amazing that you went to such a big knife exhibition! I watch knife exhibitions in the USA on TH-cam, the best is Atlanta and Texas, they are an incredible amount of knives, axes and everything that cuts, lots and lots of manufacturers and knife makers, incredible and a lot of inspiration! But I follow knives not only in the USA but also in Germany and elsewhere in the world ! Beautiful video, you made me very happy!😉🔪👌👍
Oh my gosh, I wanna be there so bad. I gotta go next time i’m 15. I just wanna say thank you for your service and thanks for making videos. I’ve seen every single one of your videos and you’ve taught me so much about knives thank you
Duuuuude that show is tops man.. I would be going crazy . I went to the SHOT SHOW in Las Vegas and they are all there.. I can’t stand with you and agree whole heartedly that you say truths.. Case is slipping. They need to appreciate their customers. People keep giving them the respect solely based on past experience and tradition. I had more knowledge about there stuff than they did. You’re right they didn’t even care to acknowledge me.. black rifle coffee was the same way.. probably worse.. money baby, money.. anyway great video buddy glad you’re there
This was such a fun video to watch just great! can't wait for day two. I also am super disappointed with Case, one of the only two times I ever sent a knife back. The blade had so much wobble you could hear it if you shook it while it was locked lol. Glad to see so much usa made stuff. Cheers!
Where was your custom spitfire this day? I always like seeing you pull that out from your pocket. Love the color sceme you chose for yours. Stay safe Knife Dr. Cheers. 😊
I saw you looking at the big foot Victoria knox. Rough Ryder has a Bigfoot knife. It's got a really nice inlay . Looks like a classic buck hunter folder. Good hefty knife. And it's $15

Those cold steel twistmasters; goooood knives brother, it’s a user. Yours is medium size, and is good size but the large size ones are monsters. Stay safe.
Allo Doctor Kevin thank you for the video, you are whrith for the bad QC of case.as a old collector i Will not go for Case but i Will run for BUCK knives.Thank for your services and the Knife comunity.🤓

Was lot's of great stuff there. I was hoping spyderco had factory seconds like last year but they didn't unfortunately. Now ill have to go buy one online anyway lol. I got a little fixed blade from auxiliary manufacturing
Great video. I was really hoping to make it this year. Blown away how so many of the owners of such large companies made an appearance at the show. After your conversation with CJ Buck, his personality and humility made me appreciate buck even more. Never been a huge buck guy (though I have probably 50) but I think I might be now. I did get a buck from the 70s that had a long story from Al Buck, I believe that made me appreciate the older models, but CJ seems to be carrying the torch well. Also, I whole heartedly agreed with your comments on Case. To be honest, rough Ryder is making better quality knives than modern case. It's a true shame. Great video though Kevin!
I started and ended my Case knife collecting real quick (About 6 month worth- 3 months too long-Very Poor quality control). I have a extensive collection of knives from Victorinox, Buck, Spyderco, And More. Great Video Kevin.....Nice too see that you got to meet Sal Glasser Owner Of Spyderco. Great walkthrough of Bladeshow buddy! It says a lot for a company when the owner shows up. I enjoyed the conversations with the owner of Bear and Sons and Buck! I could go on about Case for quite a while! They truly are living on their name! I refuse to buy a Case online! Everyone I have bought online lately has been defective ! I’m not talking about gaps in handle materials and things. Unless it horrible I can’t live with that. I’m talking about knives that you take out of the box that aren’t sharpened at all! Not even run Accross the grinder! Just a flat edge! Then I paid $144 for a knife that literally fell apart after just a couple of times carrying it and only cutting paper and the like! My new knife slip joint focus is now squarely on Bear and Sons! Great video Kevin! 💯👊🏻🇺🇸
Thank you!! Thanks for sharing this about Case! I love Case, but I’m not buying another new one unless I know the people I’m buying it from so they can inspect it or I inspect it myself. I wish I could have met you at the blade show! We need to sticker swap!
Thank you for keeping the content coming, that’s awesome! Glad you were able to get that Boker knife. Those guys were really good to you. I hope the folks working the Case booth didn’t give you any dirty looks when you walked by!😂
That was a pretty good first day at Blade Show Kevin. I was happy to see you buy the Boker. My Irish twin, 11 months younger than me, always says the time to buy something is when you see it. Following his thinking has cost me some money over the years. I agree that Case is pretty disappointing these days. The quality control is pretty bad for what they ask in prices. Meeting C.J. Buck at the show was pretty cool. I don’t live all that far from Post Falls,Idaho. I keep telling myself I need to stop in there when I get up that way.
Sad situation currently with Case. I've seen so many videos lately of folks having problems with them. Two of my last three Case purchases have left me very underwhelmed. I'm soured on them. They're too expensive to be so mediocre in quality. But, it looks like you had a GREAT day at the show!!!😃👍🏻
Great video. And ya you are right about Case knives. I rather spend $100.00 dollars for an old Case XX knife than $ 150.00 for a newer Case knife. Big difference between back then and now. No room for sanding or fabrication. It is sad were Case has gone.i hope they turn things around and start thinking about the people again. who buy their knives. Well. God bless. From Glenn CATT.
