An appeal to logic with insults with a fear based rationale is the ideology of too many churches. Unfortunately it's effective at keeping those who choose to stay in, but it's corrupt. To fear the Lord is not to fear death, it is to find reverence and awe in the most beautiful gift he has given us all. To believe for the sake of not wanting to go to hell is selfish. To believe for a better life is selfish. To believe for blessings is selfish. Faith is the chariot, hope is it's antecedent, and agape is the driver. Live like Christ quietly, and be still in your heart, and fear not, for "That who Is" is with you. Blessings, brothers and sisters, do not fall from your own grace, humble yourselves first.
That is flawed logic being used by someone suffering from confirmation bias. Because which God do you believe in ? There are hundreds of Gods worshipped around the world.
