With Dan's departure, I give it credit, because Chibnall realized he had a character that he didn't had anything for in this story and so rather than keep him around and try to make him important, he decided to make him leave, which works a lot better.
I feel like Chibnall had some good ideas but they were executed poorly. PotD was a fun but messy episode. Also the amount of stuff he said at Gally One about what happened behind the scenes makes so much sense about what happened with his era. Flux was supposed to be 11 episodes. The show was almost cancelled before Flux started filming Legend of the Sea Devils was supposed to be a part of Flux He wanted to do the traitor Dalek idea as an episode He wanted to do spin offs but the budget prevented that The marketing budget disappeared after Series 11 so that’s why Series 12 and Flux barely had any marketing He wanted K9 to appear in an ep but he couldn’t get the rights from Bob Baker’s estate Had he and Jodie stayed for Series 14, his plan was to bring back more classic companions per episode to celebrate the 60th
