    Great video. Everyone else thinks you have to pull valve cover and basically tear down for a full timing job just to replace the sensor. Not so. Thanks!

    I'm having stalling issues at ilde. It mostly does it when its hot weather. When it stalls no engine light codes. I can see my dashboard flash for a bit and all lights came up, but resets like as if your disconnecting the battery. Also I might invest me a impact. Don't want to move the timing as what I heard. What torque lbs you recommend impact gun.

      Hi, I went ahead and change the crank shaft sensor. It seems to be the cure under hot weather and idle better as you mention. Also I'm about the same mileage as your car in this video. I think it needs more testing as I drive it. Anyhow this isn't a fun job replacing just one sensor.

    • @asianmechanicguy6483
      @asianmechanicguy6483  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      i did not check the wiring integrity of this car but i had a sufficient evidence leading to a bad crankshaft sensor ..No. 1 evidence obd2 scanning crankshaft position sensor code no. 2 evidence when the car is warm the wont start no.3 when i crank the engine no rpm movement as we all know rpm signal is connected to the cam and crank signal...those 3 evidence convince me that it has a bad crank sensor ..i would love to backprobe the sensor but the location is not safe for checking

    • @scientist100
      @scientist100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@asianmechanicguy6483 #1 & #3 would be caused by bad wiring integrity & #2 could also be due to weak wiring that when it is loaded, starts to fail due to high resistance. Good thing it was the sensor, everyone hates chasing a bad wire lol
