Bro you have best video on TH-cam for this sensor, I don't see anyone else talk about that plastic dow looking pin on sensor that goes into the hole, let alone show a clear picture of the sensor in. Thank you!!!!
Just FYI for anyone who drops by because of the keywords honda - P0341... for VTC-VTEC models, P0341 mentions the sensor, but it doenst actually mean that the sensor is fualty. it actaully means something is causing a dissagreement betweeen crankshaft and camshaft expected position during cranking. So its either a failed valve control solenoid or actuator in the VTC system or the chain is sttretch and/or the chain guides are worn. Unfortuantely, most often the later, which is $$$$$ :(
So I've replaced my timing belt, water pump, crankshaft sensor and camshaft sensor. I started out getting a p0340 code before the work was done. Now afterwards I'm getting a p0341 code.
I just used a utility knife and cut the bottom half off that cover. Bout a 10 minute job. And if the cam sensor ever goes bad again, it will be a 3 minute job.
Hi @Tim, Are you saying that you were able to replace the camshaft position sensor without having to take off the valve cover, etc.? Could you possibly attach a photo of your timing belt enclosoure - how it looks after you cut it? Thanks!
Hi thank goodness I saw your video but may I know the wire order for that sensor’s socket??? Because my socket is shredded and I don’t know the wire orders, HEEEELPP ;-(
This is the best video by far. Detailed but fast and easy. Thank you!!!

These are d series Hondas not k series, they don’t have chains then have timing belts, but I’m guessing u mean by chain is the timing belt
Mine has the egr valve right next to the cam plug have to remove it as well.
That’s because you have the ex model
where is the camshaft senser on a 1.5 liter honda engine located
Around the same place
