Biggest Star VS Biggest Black Hole!

- The largest star ever discovered, Stephenson 2-18, is absolutely massive. It's difficult to even wrap your mind around it. But when you compare it to the largest theoretical black hole in the universe, Phoenix-A, even the star looks tiny.

For perspective, the Triangulum Galaxy has a solar mass between anywhere from 10 to 40 billion, which means this black hole has the solar mass possibly 10 times bigger than the Triangulum Galaxy.
Hard to fathom something so huge
There would be virtually no tidal forces near the event horizon. Imagine a civilisation that decided they were just done with the universe and closed themselves off forever inside it. Safe in the knowledge that due to time dilation they would outlive all galaxies and still be around when the universe grew dark and cold.
Holy sh**
@@HolyMithNo tidal forces? Can you elaborate?they wouldn’t get spaghettified?
@MehulPatelLXC sphagettification happens when the parts closer to the singularity experience a significantly greater gravitational force than the parts farthest away. At that size, while you couldn't escape the event horizon, the difference in gravity for even large objects would be miniscule. And it would take a long time (millions, possibly billions of years) to get close enough to the singularity to start getting a gravity difference large enough to get torn apart (ie sphagettified)

The black hole star was truly the largest one to ever exist, and it had a fcking black hold inside of it.
We're in the quantum realm. 😅
The macro realm 😮😅
Well, yes. And compared to the actual size of our universe or some bigger multiverse; we literally don't exist in any way described.
@@MarkBettner-fi2ec it's relative, if there is an observer creature as big as a galaxy then we are messless according to them😅
@@MarkBettner-fi2ec Our cells (a single cell in our body) are INCREDIBLY small compared to us, yet we wouldn't exist without them. Just because something might be small or tiny compared to something else it doesn't mean it ain't important or it doesn't exists. 😅 Incredibly tiny virus can end your life with ease...Without you ever noticing that virus. Scientists even claimed that viruses aren't alive. While they killed MILLIONS and HUNDREDS of millions of humans and animals during the history. Scientists aren't alive. They are one big NOTHING. 😅
I tangle and pop in and out ALL DAY LONG.
To clarify, when they say 'size of the black hole',
they mean size of the event horizon of the black hole...
so, in essentials, the size of the black hole.
@@MoonfallMidnight😂😂😂😂
@MoonfallMidnight actually the black hole can be so much larger than the event horizon, which is only 1/2 of the total size of it all together. Scientifically to break it down, anything past the event horizon, or from 1 side of it to the other would only be 1/2 the size. We then multiply rhat by 1.75x times the total parabler of the sphere, exclusive anything in front of the event horizon. We then calculate the size of the area infrint of the event horizon, multiply that also by 1.75x, figure out the total diameter of distance, and that equals the size of the black hole, so in reality the size of Phoenix a is over 1 Billion in diameter
@@MoonfallMidnight actually no. the event horizon is just the part where light can't escape anymore. but we know jackshit what's beyond. in theory a black hole that big would mean we could cross the event horizon without noticing really. the tidal forces and gravitational pull are far worse on smaller black holes. so most likely you could cross into it and it would take millions if not billions of years until you would get close enough to the actual singularity to be ripped apart.
