That second guy, the coach looked more like Dave than any of them, except he was a lot heavier and the guy in the assisted living ad looks like a 90 year old Dave.
Am I the only one who thinks that they made this segment bomb on purpose? Like, it should never have worked from the start, and they knew only the first two or so make any sense.
Howard Tobin looks like the love child of Dave and Michael Rapaport. After the first three, not a one of them of 'em bore even a slight resemblance to Dave. In fact, the most notable thing was how much columnist Larry Sisterman looked like columnist Bob Graef. Now, you know that at some point during the work day, Dave sat down with segments producers, writers etc. and went through the desk piece. He must've known how lame it was, but, like Carson before him, he was able to make silk purses out of sows' ears.
Funny thing is, there was a university of Wisconsin professor that really did look like letterman, only with bushier eyebrows. Can’t remember the name, but the guy was a chem professor at the marathon county campus in the 80’s when I was there. I was at Madison when Wiley was a professor, and he looked nothing like letterman, though that’s the joke, isn’t it...
Where most of them failed was around the lower jaw/chin areas, and the face. Too wide. Most resemblances due to the smile, eyes and glasses, narrower face, and hair. IMO. 😊
I get it. You want others to censor their opinions if they contradict yours, but also want the ability to write your own piddling little comments without censorship. People are just amazing😂
David Letterman is a comic genius.
Presenting it in diminishing order, as if by accident.
